Had them install a touchscreen radio in my wife's Jeep a few years ago. Radio went out because my wife got caught in a rainstorm with the top and doors off it's a Jeep thing lol. I had the pleasure of hiring Audio engineers to do a good deal of custom work for my car. I have a disabled spouse and we have the need for a wheelchair to be in the trunk. I desired to have a banging stereo system but can not sacrifice the trunk space and still needed to be able to get a wheelchair in and out. Audio Engineers welcomed the challenge and custom designed a box with 2 10" kickers that mounted to the top of the trunk space! Audio Engineers completely changed out all of my stock speakers and installed the new amplifiers. I also ordered a Drone Mobile and Security system which was on backorder and took a considerable amount of time to get in. The part being held up was not their fault- it was held up by customs at the port of Houston. If you are searching for a company that you can trust to do top of the line work- including custom work with your vehicle this is your place to go to. If you happen to own a vehicle that is 50K plus or you own a exoctic vehicle - this company is not shy and knows how to professionally care and take care of your vehicle while providing you the absolute best service. I know that they do custom stereo work, alarm installations and hard wired police scanners and diffusers such as the K40 Radar Detector system. Custom lighting and pretty much anything that is not stock this company does it or will do it. They have earned my future business and I trust them with my vehicles. Including custom work that requires them to actually cut into your sheet metal body. Awesome work on my 2016 Civic installed complete system with one 12" sub they made it bump hard. They installed a new Pioneer radio taking out my factory radio and even mounted an HDMI input so I can plug in my iPhone and watch movies while parked of course. They do good work and they are fast. Absolutely run away from this company!! Jay damaged my husband's car badly and admitted it in person, when asked to get the deposit back Kaci refused any damage and insisted on taking $85 for their labor done out if my $250 deposit. The whole story: Paid $250 deposit on 3/4/19, brought my car in to get Bluetooth added on via hijack module 3/8/19, but was told they were sent the wrong part. Had an appointment for 3/12 to get the hijack module placed but was called 3/11 to be told the product was recalled and no longer available. They then said they would replace my whole system for the same $500 quoted, so I decided to stick with them as this seemed like an unbeatable deal. When I arrived on 3/12 they told me it would be more $$ due to having steering controls so I figured it was too good to be true but still had confidence it would get done. I got a call after I emailed and my car had been there all day (they are not reliable at answering their phones at all) and was told the system would not work for the car because we supposedly had an upgraded system without GPS, which is supposedly rare. At this point I decide we need to cut our losses and pick a company who knows what they are doing, so I call to tell Jay that, and he tells me over the phone that he doesn't recommend removing the system again because of the "old leather", and starts talking about cracks in the dash that my husband and I both know were not there to begin with. We go to see in person, and he admits to damage and cracking happening, and even showed my husband places where he touched the tool to the leather and how it cracked. He continuously blamed this on the "old car" and "dried out leather", making it seem unavoidable. The system was still out at the time so my husband was not sure if the cracks would show once it was replaced so he wasn't super concerned at that point. It wasn't until he was driving it home a few hours later, once the system was replaced, that he looked at the cracks and damage around the system and a large crack on the right side of the car, none of which were there before this company had his car. Even after all this, all I asked for was a refund of my deposit, which was evaded every time I asked. They kept trying to get us to bring it back in to make further attempts to get bluetooth added. Fool me once. Finally I told them very frankly that I was being nice because I felt they were doing us a favor before, but they damaged our vehicle. Then Kaci denied the damage outright even though Jay had admitted it. Jay then called shortly thereafter and left me a voicemail denying damages. I was so flabbergasted by their absolute lack of integrity as a business, especially since I wasn't even trying to get them to pay for the damage, but simply give me a refund. Needless to say, it is not about the $85 that they kept but about the principal of how they chose to do business. read more

I went in for a stereo install because the old one went out. I had an amp and subwoofers connected everything worked just fine. Brought it in and took him 2 days to install just the stereo. Obviously this guy is not experienced enough. He kept calling tech support for advise. I picked up my truck and then went the following week so he can finish the job because for whatever reason he couldn't connect the amp & subwoofers. Which took him another 2 days. Then he gave me the story I needed a new amp because the one I have didn't work. After that I had enough and went with the professionals right away they told me Jays craftsmanship was trash even the wires he uses are the cheap crap. Oh and how Jay does a professional job and solders all the wires that's crap nothing was solder. I don't understand why he has 4.5 starts. I had to take a loss and had the guys install a new stereo because the one Jay install Fk it up as well but they fixed everything the correct way in less than one day. He's expensive and charges by the hour. It's not the customer's problem if he comes across something he doesn't knows how to do and takes him 4 days to figure it out and still charging by the hour. Trust me save your money and go somewhere else. He will end up doing a crappy job just the way his establishment looks. And down the road when you take it to a professional they will have to redo all his work. read more

Audio Engineers, I would not recommend to anyone! I got an estimate to get an Android radio (Amazon) installed in my SRT-10. I explained there were factory amps that were tricky to get to work. Jay told me that their labor rate was $99.95 an hour and it would take 3 hours to install. I asked how much, and he said $300 and we agreed to the price. I came back Friday. He put the radio in, and no sound. Jay ordered a harness. I asked what I owed, and Jay told me not to worry pay him when I brought it back. We agreed I would pay $50 for the harness and $100 for labor. We agreed it would be $200 when he finished. I came next Friday with a wiring harness I bought. He tried that harness, didn't work. The harness he bought didn't fit. I showed him there was another amp. He said he would have to take dash apart. I asked Jay if we were still good on the price and he said don't worry we got you covered. I called back, and he said they had the dash tore apart but had to work on another vehicle and he would call me. He never called. I called Monday and Tuesday. He told me that he had another vehicle. I called back; he was not done I asked him if we were still good, and he told me not to worry we got you taken care of. I called Thursday, Kaci answered, I asked for Jay. He said he should finish today, and he'd call me when he was done. Jay called me at 5:30. I got there, he explained everything about the radio. Jay pulled up the bill it was $1135.17. He said the bill was stupid there is no way I can charge this. He tried to fixit and sent another bill for $835.32. He told me not to worry about those. Jay called Kaci. They talked, she hung up on him. I gave him $200 plus an extra $100. I asked him if we were good, he said yes, and he would send me a receipt tomorrow. He also agrees since they did not tell me the install would be more it would not be right to charge more than the original estimate. He said it is bad business. My wife said it is not right to change the price without letting the customer know. Jay agreed. I asked him again if we were good and he said yes just give me a good review. I said no problem. We shook hands. I went to leave and noticed that the lights on the radio were not working. He said to reset the radio and give him a call tomorrow. Friday, I received a call from Jay asking if the lights are working. I told him resetting didn't work. I told him just wait until I get the amp and he can fix it then. He insisted I come by. I went there and he immediately took the dash apart. I was asked to go to the office to discuss something. Kaci asked me what I was going to do about my unpaid bill of @ $1400. I didn't know what she was talking about. I paid my bill in full the night before. She said we don't work for free and they put a lot of hours on my truck. I explained to her the night before and I had already paid my bill and I didn't know what she was talking about. She said pay the bill if you want your truck. I told Kaci I didn't mind paying for services rendered but this is just too much and if I knew it was going to be this much, I would have told them to stop. I called my wife. I told my wife what was going on, and Jay ask her to come up so we can talk. Shortly after, Pearland police showed up and asked what the problem was. Kaci explained there was a bill and he think we charged too much. She wasn't going to release my truck until it is paid. I then explained I had paid the bill in full last night and I just stopped by to fix what was not done right and all this happened. My wife also corroborated my story about the night before. Pearland officer referred to a sign on the wall vehicles are not released until bill is paid in full. My wife stated Thursday night after payment was made and Jay released the truck which means it was paid in full. The Pearland officer suggested we do what it takes to get the truck back and this was a civil matter. I pulled up the receipt that said the balance was $835.32 and said I paid $300 last night. I suggested to pay $535.32 to get the truck. Kaci agreed. I paid this. I was emailed a bill for $1634.92 before getting the correct bill stating paid in full. They have no way of tracking the actual hours, because they work on multiple vehicles at the same time. All the time they bill is estimated and I believe it is exaggerated. All this could have been avoided if someone would have spoken up and let me know that they were over the original estimate and there were going to be additional charges. This is not the way to do business and Jay even agreed. This could have been avoided with a call so we could work it out instead of luring me up there, holding my truck hostage, and calling the police. read more

Wow... I have had a sound system in my vehicles for 18 years and have been to several different places to have them installed, but Audio Engineers has been the BEST! He certainly knows what he is doing. I have had the same JL sub for 7 years, and installed in 3 different vehicles. At the end of the day Jay I spent 2400.00 with you on a speaker install. I didn't request one god damn thing cheaper! You installed bullshit Mclarron speakers on on lids that didn't fit. The install was shity, I couldn't ride my bike in the rain, and when I did get could in the rain every got wet and short circuited. It's your install. Your cost on those shitty fairing speakers ground zero and bag speakers mcclaron, where crap. I called the manufacturer of both these brands and they would not say these products were marine grade. But I found out myself when I all got wet from the rain. I turned off my bike radio after being in a storm for a hour and it was static, distortion coming thru the speakers with the stereo off. What that means is that you don't know what the fuck your doing when it comes to bikes. I didn't haggle you on price I told you what I wanted and you fucked me over! Point blanks period. And yes you chipped paint, lost bolts, stripped bolts. You need to stick you cars and trucks. Your a complete hack when it comes to bikes!!!! Your install is shitty and your wiring is sub par! I found Audio Engineers online. Called a few places around town for window tinting on a Ford F-250. The other places around town were $100-$150 more than what Audio Engineers quoted me. I did all windows plus a brow. Usually I think you get what you pay for, and since it was a work truck I went with the cheapest option. I'm so glad I did because I got the best customer service and the best quality tint for cheaper than anywhere else in town! Some shops leave a mess in your truck but they not only left a new bottle of water for me to drink, but also not even a speck of dirt that wasn't already there. On top of that, I had clear tape from the place I got the truck on the roof and they took the extra time to peel it off for me and cleaned off the residue. I was so impressed by the first job that I took my new truck there and got it done too. Again, another perfect job! I love this shop and will never go anywhere else! read more
