The final paint job is not their work, it's mine, because his crew did a horrible job on it. Paint on the ceiling, all over the vanities in both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. I repainted and repaired nearly every surface they touched because whatever compound they used to patch holes started peeling from the walls (although they hadn't sanded or properly patched to begin with...merely painted over leaving huge marks all over our walls. Some holes weren't even patched and some screws were left sticking out--see pics.) Not to mention the fact you neglected to install gaskets on every single water fixture--three new faucets and all three leaked. Two new tub fixtures and both moved and had to be repaired after you left without completing a final walkthrough. My dad found two of the three drain pipes for the sinks leaking in the vanities. In the upstairs bathroom they'd actually installed the wrong size gasket. And they weren't just a little off; it was twice the size it should have been but instead of going out to buy the correct size to do it right, they shoved it in and left it. A toilet your crew left marked up with a black, hardened mess, deep scratches on our closet doors, terrible install on our kitchen backsplash? Even the small refund you ultimately paid us doesn't account for the time and work and additional contractor we had to bring in to fix what you did. Brand new vanities weren't covered before they painted, paint left on our new tile because they didn't cover the floor or take care around the shower surrounds--very basic things that ANY contractor should do, they didn't. They actually left a couple of trim pieces simply propped up against the wall and never bothered to attach them! A few weeks later, I was washing dishes at my kitchen sink and heard water trickling in the ceiling above me. After calling my husband down and trying to figure out what was going on, he suggested I go upstairs into the second bathroom All Trades renovated and pour water into the overflow drain. Sure enough--there was a huge splashing sound in the ceiling above him. Lucky for Jim and All Trades, we discovered their improper install before it was too late and yet another leak caused major water damage. I do NOT recommend this company. I also suggest you consider removing the photos of our home from your social media accounts as they do not accurately reflect the quality of your work.

They Came, They Snaked, They Conquered…read more THE PROBLEM: Sunday night. The disposal side of my kitchen sink quit on us. Full stoppage. Water just sitting there... dark gray, murky, and spiritually unwell. Then, as if to join the chaos, my dishwasher randomly turned on and sounded like it was trying to flush out its regrets. I went to Yelp and fired up one of those project requests. Out of all the companies that got pinged, only one called me directly that night: Devin, the owner of One Source Renovations. At 8PM. On a Sunday. Let that speak for itself. Immediate trust unlocked. We scheduled a 9PM service. At 8:30PM, I get a call from Jamison, the tech. Another emergency had come up for them. He asked if we could reschedule our call to 8AM the following day. I gladly accepted the change. Here's what set them apart: Both Devin and Jamison communicated professionally. Respectful. Clear. No ghosting. No "we'll get back to you." Just a real conversation and a new plan. THE SOLUTION: At exactly 8:00 AM, Jamison showed up. Not "between 8 and noon." Not "running late." Just... there. Like a legend. Jamison explained everything clearly, treated us and our home with total respect, and got to work. 1. Vacuumed the standing water out of the sink 2. Removed the disposal unit to access the drain 3. Snaked the pipe to clear the blockage 4. Reassembled and tested everything. Clean, quick, efficient. He was done in under an hour. And when I say he left the workspace cleaner than when he found it? I mean it. The man wiped surfaces like he was being judged on presentation. THE TEACHABLE MOMENT (AND SOME SCIENCE): Jamison shared some knowledge: "Eggshells were the culprit." I then learned that providing a large brunch for my family can be the gateway drug to pipe failure if mistakes are made. He explained that when you grind up eggshells, the calcium from them will form with the grease and soap residue to create the perfect storm inside your pipes. The crushed shells form a gritty paste. The grease binds everything together. And the soap just helps it slide into place and coat your pipes like jelly. Pipe jelly. That's what I made. And now I'll never un-know it. His advice? "Food doesn't belong in pipes. But if it happens, run ice cubes and Dawn dish soap through the disposal. It'll help break up the sludge and keep the impellers moving right." No judgment. No condescension. Just solid advice that actually made sense. THE BONUS ROUND: While wrapping up, we chatted about future plumbing work. I have a few projects I've been putting off. I didn't want to scope creep his day, but he asked about a slow-draining sink in the primary bathroom and said, "Mind if I just knock that out real quick?" Five minutes later: Problem solved. Something I'd been living with for weeks was handled like a light switch. No fuss. No invoice. Just excellent service. THE VERDICT: 1. Devin called immediately when no one else did. 2. Jamison showed up on time, worked fast, solved the issue, educated me without talking down to me, and even won over my dog. 3. From the electrician to the plumber to the painters and finishers they fell way short of what quality work is supposed to look and feel like. The only sub that got it right in my book is the HVAC contractor and he went out of his way to make sure my house was warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Shout out to Claud Heating and air conditioning. Everyone else involved in the build should have all their licenses revoked and be banned from ever being allowed to build much less sell another one of these houses. Good luck if you screwed up and bought a celebration home. The Carpet Den in Franklin,Tn. can't spell LVP much less lay it. The plumbing contractor wouldn't know how to lay a shower pan if he had a YouTube video to help and the electrician, oh my the electrician, I am betting they get electrocuted a lot on the job site. Timberland cabinets really needs classes on how to mount cabinets before they are allowed to quote another job seeing how I had to add blocking in because my cabinets were falling off the wall and they wanted to argue with me. New roof and a great roof over the 20 x 25 patio about three years ago. Mark Gilliday was our estimator and our project manager. On site most every day and the days he wasn't he called to let me know - plus I know enough about construction and code to be comfortable if he had to step away for a bit. When he initially bid he even put the CAD drawing out for us (ha even put in a shade line so we could see how it would fall). Made a GREAT suggestion on the roof line to add light and visibility. They were not the cheapest, but not high by much. Close enough to run with someone I felt comfortable with. This is the first time in my 30 years of owning several homes I've ever let anyone do improvements - because I know how to do them and too many contractors out there do not. or if they do they won't do whats right. We are now getting closer to closing in the patio area for a 4 seasons sunroom and i'm about to call.

Unfortunately, our experience this time around was terrible -- I cannot in good faith recommend them anymore. Giving two stars (rather than one) because the work quality was very good. Subs did a great job, were friendly and cleaned up after themselves. In the end, we didn't go over budget. But we paid a lot of money and experienced a lot of unnecessary delay and drama. In short, our project was a victim of poor communication and lack of ownership taking responsibility. We went through four project managers: the first went MIA on us, delaying the demo start by 6 weeks; the second hadn't read any of the project briefing and let us to believe none of our materials had been ordered; the third was too busy with other projects to make ours a priority; and the fourth was brand new, didn't really know what he was doing, and wasn't getting the oversight he needed from leadership. To the company's credit, they didn't end up charging us for project management--as we'd been doing a big portion of it ourselves. Ultimately, a project that should've taken 8-10 weeks took 16 weeks (and that's after the 6-week-delayed start). The thing that was most frustrating was that while Dan was fairly responsive to our outreach when things were regularly going wrong, he was also regularly pretty dismissive of our concerns and didn't take responsibility for all of the mistakes and screw-ups that were the result of his team's failings--failing to read the brief; failing to install underfloor heating and electrical that was in the brief, resulting in ripping up tile that had just been laid; failing to inspect goods on arrival so that they could be replaced when broken without delaying the project; failing to tell us about budget implications of design choices, etc. Dan will say I was mad when things went wrong, and that some of those things were out of their control. Yes, I was mad. But mostly I was disappointed that I trusted this company, and they took advantage of that trust.
