I recently went there for a diamond missing from my wedding band and one from my engagement ring. Both rings purchased here. I placed a claim with Jewelers Mutual and went to drop them off to the store. I arrived 30 mins before they closed and figured it would be just dropping off and waiting for repair. I dealt with a salesperson who took my rings and had the female owner look at them. She stated I had 6 broken diamonds and basically the ring was not able to be repaired. I questioned why not because can't you just turn a claim in for the damage. I then questioned can I still wear the ring and wait for the broken ones to fall out and then repair at that time. I was told they would buy the good diamonds from me and then pay me for the gold too. None of this made sense since I have insurance that pays out for lost or damaged items. Also she reminded me that they close in 15 mins and basically let's wrap it up. I decided the next day to get my items back and go somewhere else. My mom went to this place for years and trusted them. Welp the new jeweler confirmed that 2 diamonds need to be replaced and does not have all the damage they told me my rings did. I have a copy of the receipt they initially gave me and had the new jeweler evaluate to compare. Stay far away from this place. I'm appalled that this is the practice of a business that has been around so long. read more

I dropped off my engagement ring and wedding band to be checked for loose prongs, stones, etc. I didn't purchase my rings at B&E, but they happily offered to check them out for free. They did a plot of my diamond to make sure I was getting my exact diamond back. After 30 years, my rings needed some extensive repairs, which I wasn't surprised about. I worked with Carrie. She patiently explained what needed to be done and what my options were. I didn't feel rushed to make a decision and she wasn't pushy at all. She helped me look at a few new settings in case I decided to go that route. Everybody in the store is professional, helpful and courteous. They have beautiful jewelry and really take the time to make you feel comfortable. I'm looking forward to working with them to have my diamond put into another setting. read more

I have been going to B & E for as long as I can remember. They offer incredible customer service, and I trust them implicitly with my gems. They have custom made me several pieces of jewelry, and I love the fact that my creations are all one of a kind. Many are "Shari originals", as I call them. The staff and owners are knowledgeable, trustworthy, and their prices are fair. If you want a cheap price and poor quality- this is not the store for you. I tell everyone to go here. I worked with Karen and to say the least she was a wealth of information. I was looking for an engagement ring and what to look for in a diamond. B & E really is "As good as it gets." Simply the best jeweler I have found in the BuxMont area since Mr. Frattone in Hatboro died. These folks are knowledgeable, reasonable, professional and most importantly, personable. I have been in here a few times and every time is a delightful experience. They do repairs right on the premises & don't turn their noses up at small jobs - like straightening up my bent, sterling silver ring. He did it right on the spot, with a smile and a happy exchange having nothing to do with jewelry. Less than a year ago I told a friend I was searching for an engagement ring and he told me about B&E and how him, his brother, and his brother in law all bought their engagement rings there. Stay away from Shari/Sharna! She is greedy and miserable. She will take your precious jewelry from you for her profit at your great loss. They oversell unnecessary repairs. They do have an interesting selection of wedding bands at fairly reasonable prices. I put a $20 deposit down on a wedding band to put it on layaway. I was not totally sold on the ring but I didn't want to chance somebody else buying it while looking around. I was never warned this deposit was nonrefundable. As a bride on a verryyyy tight budget, that knowledge would have keep me from putting money down on a ring I wasn't 100% sure about. The sales woman lead me to believe I would get my money back if I changed my mind. 2 weeks later after finding a ring elsewhere I went to get my money back and was greeted by the most miserable and rude sales woman who was far from helpful. She insulted me and insinuated I was dumb for not asking if my deposit was refundable. She did nothing to try to help me find something else I might like and seemed to not care the slightest bit she was robbing me of my money. Apparently my $20 was more important to them than losing a customer forever. Very poor service. AVOID. read more
