Double Cheeseburger, Steak Sandwich, and Chicken Strips.
    Caroline L.

This place is just what we needed on a late night driving through the area after visiting family. The atmosphere is laid back and no frills, with only stool seating at the counter which makes the experience even more intimate and neighborly. And the food is NOT disappointing. It's one of the best meals we had on our road trip to Nashville. We got the cheeseburger, steak sandwich, and chicken strips. Everything was delicious and the prices are incredible! Cash only by the way... If you happen to be in the area, this unassuming little restaurant offers way more of an experience than you'd think. The staff was friendly and it was fun to observe regular customers coming in for a chat over iced tea. B&H is worth a visit!

I have to laugh a little when I see "restaurant" tagged to the end of B&H. As the plastic letters state on the shingled roof of this little non-descript building, this is a cafe. Just big enough to hold 8 customers and 2 workers, B&H does not pretend to be anything more than it is, a little greasy spoon meant for the local yokels, call in an order, stop in and chat for a moment and hit the road again. It's not a pantheon of cleanliness, the floor is worn and Morganfield still allows smoking in their eating establishments, but, by damn, they make a great cheeseburger. Fired up on a flat steel grill and smashed until about a half-inch thick, cooked until there's a slight crispiness to the outside but still juicy on the inside, and served on a grill-warmed bun. Perfect. Memories of late night stopovers at B&H after a night out helping the elderly or some other act of kindness abound with each bite. It's likely that reason alone that will make it worthwhile for me to stop by on rare trips home. And that reason too which makes it difficult for me to impart the fondness I have for B&H to fellow reviewers. But hopefully, all of us have a "B&H" we can remember fondly, and stopping off at a place likes this brings some good times back.

So yummy, that I had to take a bite before the picture could be taken.

It's SO small. But you'll never have a better smashburger than B&H. The staff is nice and I always have a great meal there!

There's nothing better than a B&H burger and cheese sticks while sitting inside BSing with the regulars.

The building is remodeled with a wooded home type of feel. The lady behind the counter said they had been opened for about 2 months. The menu looks pretty simple with sandwiches but also some intriguing options such as bologna, pork burger, mutton, and steak. The best deal for value is the plate which comes with a sandwich, 2 sides, a drink and a dessert for $12. I chose brisket and that was easily the best part of the meal. In fact, I was shocked to find how good the brisket was at a random BBQ place in small town Kentucky. It was moist and fatty and just fantastic all the way around. The pie was the next best part as the pie of the day was coconut. Potato salad was a mustard base and homemade, but they could have left out the celery. But what I saw next astounded me in a restaurant. I ordered mac and cheese as my other side and watched them take some noodles and dipped them in what looked like a warm batch of nacho cheese from Sam's, Costco, Walmart etc. The only thing that would have been more laughable would have been for them to crack open a box of Kraft to pass off as mac and cheese. I've had some bad mac and cheese but to watch that atrocity, I laughed about it all the way back to work. I couldn't eat it so I asked the lady if I could have another side. She asked me why and I wish I hadn't been taught manners at times. She finished my sentence before I could say something by asking if it was too spicy. I wish I could have told her that dipping pasta in nacho cheese from Sam's does not make edible mac and cheese. I chose beans. And how did you think it went...yep, warm Bush beans from a can. The sauces were different as these sauces were a bright pinkish orange. There were three of them - a sweet, a mild, and a hot. The hot had the most flavor and wasn't really that hot. The mild was almost tasteless and I couldn't figure out what the sweet was. Sweet tea was refreshingly sweet. Besides the laughable mockery of mac and cheese and beans, overall Rolling Smoke was good. The brisket was elite and it's hard to go wrong with homemade pie included in your meal.

Well...this was unique in some good ways and more not as good ways…read more I believe Peak Bros is one of those places where the locals will tell you it's the best ever and for someone like me who has eaten at 500 or so BBQ restaurants in the last 10 years, will disagree with that. Let's start with the good - my sweet tea was refreshingly sweet. It was the best part of the meal. The potato salad was good. It was a mustard-mayo mix base and homestyle. I usually want to try it all at a BBQ joint I've never been to. They do have a combo plate that fits that need. It comes with a rib, brisket, sliced pork, sliced mutton, chipped mutton, and ham. It only comes with one side and bread. I'm not a ham person and usually avoid it, but there was something special about this ham. It was juicy and it had a great taste to it. They are known for their ham but if the ham is the standout on a BBQ plate, well you might have a problem. The chipped mutton was also really good. If you have never had mutton before, you can only find it in this part of Kentucky. The chipped mutton soaked up the vinegar style BBQ sauce. It was also worth eating on the plate if you like BBQ lamb. Surprisingly, the brisket was actually pretty good too except it was just a mismatch with the very thin, vinegar sauce. Now for the bad news - the rib and sliced pork was just awful. I couldn't stand to eat the pretty tasteless pork and the rib was almost inedible. The sliced mutton was just as bad as the rib. It was tough and inedible. I didn't hate the sauce. It was a very thin, vinegar style and the bread went well with it because it soaked it up. The sauce went well with the chipped mutton and if they had done pulled pork, it probably would have went well with that too. It was just a mismatch for every other meat and with just one sauce to choose from, it wasn't a good thing. I wanted to know what else was on the menu that people liked and I got three different answers, which tells me...to each his own. I weighed between a two and three on this one but I thought the bad just outweighed the good. Peak Bros. is one of those places where it's great if you are local but for someone like me with 300 something Yelp reviews on BBQ joints, it was pretty bad BBQ. I would eat their ham at Christmas though.
