The excavation wasn't deep enough; the concrete was not leveled properly; the brush mark show the amateur installation technique. Cigarette butts everywhere, very little clean up, and a rude business owner. One of the types that does nothing wrong, and will argue with you. Which is probably why he owns his own business, because he couldn't take constructive criticism. He also pulled the permit, charged the homeowner, and then would not provide a copy for our records. The town wouldn't provide a copy of it either. One would think that maybe the contractor and the town are into something corrupt. It took them nearly two weeks to come out to check the damage, they estimated around $500 for the repair, then over a week later still had not gotten back to me to schedule. I called multiple times to follow up and they essentially told me that I was not a priority to them due to roof damage that had occurred in subsequent storms at other properties, but that they would come out and do the repair for double the initial quote. In a time where we are all struggling, it is sad to see a "family owned business" effectively price-gouging their paying customers. They are simply understaffed, overextended, and do not care about you as a customer in the long term.
