That's over half of what it cost me to get the sump pump installed brand new. I was shocked!! When I asked what their hourly rates were I was told the price is based on the job done. Calling did no good. I was told there's nothing that can be done. I will never call Hines for anything. Under warranty or not, I'll figure it out before I call them back. I'm upset over the cost for the work done and the time it took. If this is what it costs maybe upon calling they should disclose that the labor will cost me $250 flat rate. Wish the job would have taken 3 hours, I'd feel I got my money's worth.

Long version Brown water was rising from tenants' bathtubs, and toilets wouldn't flush, despite regular septic servicing. Called my regular company (now previous) in the morning requesting emergency service, but was told all their appointments were emergencies and it would be a few days. I understand that this is the beginning of peak season, but I've been a faithful client. Maybe they were having a bad day, but I doubt there was fecal matter in their tub. I called and emailed over a dozen companies, most did not reply. A few replied, saying they couldn't help, one very kindly recommended other companies, including Johnson Septic. Johnson agreed to make room in their schedule the next day, and told me their prices, which are based on the volume removed. I did not feel that I was up-charged for the emergency nature. I called for my service window this morning, and received a call when the truck was 25 minutes away. The techs were extremely polite ("Sir/Ma'am" polite) and answered all my questions, even though I asked some twice. They found the problem (a wipesburg), removed it, and flushed the tanks. My tenants are happy, I'm happy. I hope you will be happy with their service too.

Josh (plumber) was efficient, adaptable and the installation of the home's water filtration system was impeccable. I also appreciate how careful they were with our time and money. Not only was their quote comparable to other local plumbers, but Josh asked for the model number of our system a week before our appt, so he could anticipate any issues and ensure that he had the right materials. That seems pretty uncommon, as other plumbers typically prefer to learn on-site and bill the homeowner for that extra time.

The company mistakenly did the work on my neighbor's house even though they had a permit from the town with the correct address and the contract showed the correct address. I requested my deposit back and have still not received my money back after 4 weeks. Extremely difficult to contact. Would not recommend this company.
