My new dentist did a very poor job addressing my problems. My new fillings are rough to the touch and sharper than my chipped tooth was previously. One of the main reasons I went was not addressed and the tooth next to it was drilled instead. On top of that the dental hygienist used a slew of terms that are not even dental terms to describe my teeth telling me they would fall out by the time I was an age I pretty much already am. I have considerable dental work and this is by far the worst I've gotten. Probably will find someone else to redo the work I had done. Honestly atrocious experience, I do not recommend at all and will be changing dentists.

From terrible…read moreexperiences during my time in the military to feeling like I was being ripped off from previous dentists, I was very apprehensive finding a new dentist after moving to the Chicagoland area. Ironically, before visiting Woodgroove Family Dentist I had a appointment at another dentist. I walked in and immediately left. The vibe just wasn't right. I could not be happier I made that decision! First of all, Dr. Aloor is fantastic. I enjoy the rapport with not only the Dr., but her entire team. Amanda at the front desk is always a pleasure which is saying a lot because that's my ex-wife's name lol. The feeling I get from the place is empathy. Granted, it is a smaller practice, but I think if you're looking for a flashy ambiance you're probably paying extra for that, but the office has all the modern comforts and technology you'd expect. My first visit was for a routine cleaning and to discuss veneer options. To my amazement Dr. Aloor actually does the cleaning. What doctor does that these days? You can feel the experience and confidence during the cleaning that you don't get many other places. Next, the veneer consultation. I explained to Dr. Aloor that I was interested in doing 6 veneers out of pocket and was ready to move forward. To my astonishment she told me that all I really needed was to replace an old crown and install a new crown on the adjacent tooth, and I would have the smile profile I was looking for with my insurance supplementing most of the cost. What dentist does that? She could have easily taken thousands of my hard earned dollars as I had already committed to veneers and was none the wiser. I knew at that moment I found my new dentist. Lastly, after starting the crown procedure there was an issue at the lab (not the fault of the dentist). They were able to get me in quickly to re-do the impression and give me a new temporary. I'm looking forward to my new smile! If this review comes off like a advertisement I suggest you read some of my other reviews. I'm very critical of any place I spend my money at! I'm happy that as long as I'm in this area I've found my dentist! Give them a try!

I was very surprised to find that a 20+ years old filling fell out while flossing on a Saturday night. I felt the small hole in my tooth and immediately started to panic. I had this fear that the entire tooth would fall out and quickly turned to Yelp to find any dentist in the area that would be open on a Sunday. That was when I came across positive reviews for Dr. Baek at Healthy Smile Dental. Their operational hours listed was 9:00AM-3:00 on Sundays so I called at 9:01 pleading to seen. The receptionist was very kind and was able to fit me in at 10:30AM so I quickly rushed over there. They had me seated and took x-rays to show if there was any nerve damage. Dr Baek explained that there was a possibility of another filling falling out since the tooth wasn't as strong from prior fillings and the tooth next to it had a small fracture in a filling. Rather than just patching the problem up temporarily, she gave me a permanent solution that would still save my teeth from potential nerve damage and having to get a root canal down the road. She discussed getting a temporary crown and the process. Throughout the procedure she made sure to check on me and we made a follow up appointment for 3 weeks to complete the procedure. So grateful for a knowledgeable dentist that is open on Sundays!

I have found a new home with Dr. Anas Najjar (Ortho) and Dr. Ahmad Najjar (Dentistry). They both completely changed my mind about the care I was receiving. I have completely switched over to be under their care, and now drive less than 20 minutes to my appointments. They both are incredible at their craft, care about their patients, and have great personalities. I have come in panicked about small issues, and they never cease to calm me down and make whatever I was worried about perfect. They work in tandem with and recommend fantastic specialists - ie: periodontist. Everyone from the front desk staff to the assistants are all welcoming, kind, and professional. I then receive a bill in the mail stating I owe $800 because my insurance didn't accept it even though the document given to me states the amount proposed to insurance and the amount accepted which was going to cover everything. So if the front desk did their job correctly and submitted it before my cleaning and not after they would have seen my insurance wasn't going to cover everything. I highly recommend you stay away from this place if you don't wanna receive a bill in the mail at a later date stating you owe said amount of $.

When I tried to have the bonding restored by Dr Jaimes, she told me that she still had the formula of materials he used & could do it the same way. But she used an entire different approach and materials & after on week the bonding on the front of my teeth started to deteriorate. I paid her $1800.00 dollars & she was unwilling to fix any of it or give me some refund. Had to have it reinforced by a new dentist in order for it not to come apart. Then told they'd have to check with my insurance to see if a deep clean was covered and I'd need to reschedule appointment because it takes them 3 weeks to get approval from insurance I was told. I had no problem with that. Made another appointment for 4 weeks later. Came in 10 minutes before my scheduled time and they seemed very busy with a lot of people coming in for same time appointmen. I get called back sit in chair and hygenist said what I'm there for-deep clean and fillings?! Wait, no, NOT fillings just a deep clean. Then she proceeded to say ok no problem and gave me the form to sign for my deep clean. 15 minutes later hygienist comes back in to tell me my insurance only covers every 3 years on a deep clean. which is not true and I knew that! Had this insurance for 30 years and it's always been 2 years. Husband went to bat for me and called insurance to confirm it is in fact every 2 years. Then Called the dentist back to tell her how unprofessional she was and the entire situation could've been avoided! Should NOT have my time wasted by an unprofessional dentistry How unprofessional to make me come back twice with wrong information both times! AND NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING?! I was told I needed a crown on a tooth that was not bothering me. After the procedure, the crown never fit properly. I returned multiple times for adjustments and was eventually told the discomfort was due to my tooth having a "high pulp" and that I would just need to live with the pain. The issue persisted for nearly a year. I experienced ongoing sensitivity and eventually noticed a strong odor and taste from under the crown. I sought care elsewhere. After visits with multiple dentists, a root canal, and the crown ultimately falling out, a new dentist confirmed decay beneath the crown. It was cleaned out and the crown was properly reset and adjusted. It has taken three additional dentists to address what began as a routine crown. I regret not seeking a second opinion sooner and hope this helps others make informed decisions about their care.
