I have been going to Woodridge Dental for many years. Dr. Fleming was great. After retiring, I have not seen a dentist in over 9 months. I was very scared. Susan put me at easy immediately. I have never ever had a hygienist who was so outstanding. She told me that I have improved my daily brushing and flossing. No pain ever is this cleaning. I have gone to this office for many years. I have a large amount of dental work from Dr Fleming who used to be here, all of which was flawless. However my most recent trip was horrific. My new dentist did a very poor job addressing my problems. My new fillings are rough to the touch and sharper than my chipped tooth was previously. One of the main reasons I went was not addressed and the tooth next to it was drilled instead. On top of that the dental hygienist used a slew of terms that are not even dental terms to describe my teeth telling me they would fall out by the time I was an age I pretty much already am. I have considerable dental work and this is by far the worst I've gotten. Probably will find someone else to redo the work I had done. Honestly atrocious experience, I do not recommend at all and will be changing dentists. read more

The hygienist was super caring and efficient and the dentist was thorough and listened to my concerns as well as did some preventive work, when I told her it felt rough she smoothed it down to help my discomfort. read more

Dr Scott Fleming is my dentist however I have also seen Dr Patrick Fleming. Dr Scott is truly an amazing dentist. I am also one of those people that fear the dentist, but not any more. Dr Scott is very thorough and takes the time to listen to what I have to say and is ready to help me. Dr Scott explains everything he is going to do and he is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. I no longer fear going. Dr Scot takes care of my cleanings, he has helped me with a cracked tooth and has provided great referrals for wisdom teeth removal. The staff has also been very nice and easy to work with when scheduling appointments and with insurance questions. They always make me feel welcome. I am so grateful to have found this practice. It had been about 15 years that I had last seen a dentist. My last experience was as a teenager (in another state). Being a good parent I figured it was time to take my 2 children for their annual visit. There's no reason for anyone in our family to at least get a checkup & cleaning as our insurance company covers the payment in full for 2 visits per year. Still I avoided "my turn." One day, my oldest child asked why my husband or I haven't gone for our cleaning. He was under the impression that just kids went to the dentist! I was honest with him and said that I was a bit apprehensive about going since it has been so long and I was afraid of having any cavitities. I sounded like a child! (each of my children have had their share, yet none ever complained). Well, I finally decided to be a role model and scheduled my appt for a cleaning. To be truthful, I was terrified since it had been so long I figured my mouth was full of cavities and I'd have to undergo treatment for "all" of them. I did tell my oldest child about my fear in detail and he laughed at me!!! He's been through fillings and chipped tooth repair as well as some orthodontic work. You'd think he of all people would cringe when going to the dentist; as the stereotypical dental visit is often thought of as "scarey." He told me he "loves" going to the dentist! He's never confided that to me before.Maybe he was saying that to make me feel better.... I did ask my younger child, a daughter, and she too said she loves going to see Dr "Feming" and family (that's what she calls Dr. "Fleming" and "the lady" hygenist she sees. I haven't had the heart to tell her she was pronouncing his last name wrong and the "lady" had a name :) He didn't seem to mind, never corrected her, just smiled. But I thought it was nice that she referred to his staff as "family.' It was finally time for my appointment! Ugh, How could I submit myself to this torture. But you know, there was no "torture," in fact I had NO CAVITIES to my surprise! At the time of my appointment I had also had a broken kneecap that I had just had surgery on approx 2 1/2 - 3 weeks ago, so I was a bit apprehensive too about what am I going to do about my leg as it was (and still is) in an ELS Immobilizer locked in Extended mode. Would you believe 2 hygenists took the time to find pillows to prop my leg up so it would be more comfortable.... After my cleaning, etc, Dr Fleming came in and couldn't believe I still made my appointment with this huge thing on my leg! Thank goodness we both have a sense of humor, as I did look a bit funny showing up at the dentist to get my knee worked on! My children were right, Dr Fleming is wonderful and very caring, not too mention the great sense of humor. Never thought I'd come out of a dental office smiling and ready to make my follow-up appointment! I did and am ready for the next appointment, this time without the leg brace on, I hope! For my daughter's initial visit, Caron, the hygienist, was so unprofessional! It was our first time there and the way Caron talked to me in front of my children was appalling. I hadn't transferred my daughter's xrays in time for her first visit there so I told Caron we would be skipping xrays and just doing a visual exam and cleaning-- mainly for insurance reasons. Well Caron took it personally and proceeded to banter with me as if I was refusing proper care for my child. Then she proceeded to take it out on my daughter's teeth by rushing through the cleaning and jamming the polishing tool on her teeth. After my daughter was finished, Caron started up with me again and then made me sign a waiver stating I refused the xrays. She was still very loud and very vocal as she left the room to get her next patient. When Dr. Fleming came in, I told him I couldn't believe how Caron had treated me in front of my kids. He never apologized and I know he heard her as he was just in the next room. Dr. Fleming seems like a great dentist and came across as a seasoned professional with a calm demeanor so it's so unfortunate that his hygienist who is the first person a patient meets and eventually sees the most is costing him business. My kids are young and I am looking for long term dental care. And, too, a practice that is understanding and professional and most of all remembers they are providing a service, something Caron had forgotten the that day! read more
