Let me start off by saying that Lana and the Rainbow chefs crew did an outstanding job with…read moreaccommodating my husband, Daniel, and I during the few months of planning and prepping for our wedding this past July 2022. Daniel and I started talking about and planning our wedding late February 2022. And we were recommended to reach out to Lana and her company Rainbow Chefs for the catering. Daniel and I were originally planning for a cocktail wedding, as opposed to a traditional sit down dinner. We were madly sending out inquiries to different food catering companies, food trucks, restaurants, etc., with no hope in regards to the insanely expensive prices for the amount of people we were expecting, about 200+. Finally, Daniel's manager suggested that we reach out to Lana. We scheduled a zoom meeting with her, and had an unforgettable first impression of her and her plan for our last minute wedding. She broke down every detail we needed to be aware of and prepared for, including prices, and even discussed different options her company could offer to us. It was not easy to plan a wedding with 200+ guest invitations, in 4-5 months, but thankfully we were lucky enough that Lana and her crew were available for our wedding date and were able to help us throughout the process. During the entire planning time, Lana diligently checked in on both Daniel and I, sometimes individually, making sure tasks were being done and loose ends were being tied in time for our big day. Not only was Lana on top of us daily/weekly regarding our wedding planning, but she was also conscientious toward our mental health and instilled lots of important advice. About a week before our wedding day, Lana, Kate and Viana came to the venue, along with our other vendors, to have an overall tour of the venue, to make sure they knew where to maneuver the food tables, the kitchen staff, the bar situation, etc. On the day of the wedding, Lana was exceptional! Her and the Rainbow Chefs crew made sure our guests were well taken care of. I got compliments from our family and friends about how great the staff was, so that definitely meant alot. Throughout the night, along with our wedding planner, Lana was making sure that Daniel and I ate, that we were aware of things she and her crew were doing, etc. They definitely helped ease some of our planning and event stresses. The communication, diligence and honesty that Lana and Rainbow Chefs presented to us throughout the entire planning and event process was one that we absolutely recommend to anyone who is planning a wedding or large event/party!!

Very questionable communication from the Rainbow Chefs Update- After three painful weeks, I have finally received the e-recipes that were promised to us in August, 2021. During the past three weeks, Lana from Rainbow chefs kept on promising that she will send the recipes to me without providing a date. I had to follow up with her multiples time to get an update. Along the way Lana kept on saying that Rainbow chefs went above and beyond to create the recipes for our camp and the recipes are supposed to be an "extra effort" for our camp, however, this was actually advertised to us before we signed the contract. I felt really annoyed that one dared to describe something that's 11 months late as "extra effort". In addition, the first version I received was full of typos/formatting errors and missing TWO dishes. Lana told me those were missing because she lost the recipe files--but according to her that everything was custom made for our camp so she had to write the recipes from scratch? If she had the "files" all this time why not just send to me? To conclude, lots of inconsistent information from Rainbow chefs. I would advise everyone to think twice before choosing to work with Rainbow chefs

This was everything I could have asked for in a cooking class…read more The Mama Thai experience was a birthday present from my family for the four of us to do together. I have a decent amount of Thai cooking experience, while the rest of my family had none. Still, we all learned quite a bit, and had fun doing it! Jirayu has a beautiful home, and we immediately felt welcome and at ease. She's been doing this for more than 20 years. She and her daughter Saorise had stations set up for us, each with their own propane burner, tools, wok, and ingredients. We chose to make green papaya salad, red curry fried rice, and green curry eggplant with bamboo and rice noodles. After settling in, we started on the first of our dishes. We worked at a good pace, and Jirayu kept an eye on how we were doing, providing feedback where necessary. We made and ate each dish one at a time. It is an understatement to say that they turned out absolutely delicious! By the end of the first dish, we knew that we wanted to come back and do a few more menu items. Through each menu item, Jirayu talked about the brands she uses that have a more authentic Thai flavor. We talked about coconut milk, fish sauce, bamboo shoots, and palm sugar to name a few, and surprisingly some of the best brands were not Thai! She has also done her research on more healthy cooking, finding ways to omit MSG and unnecessary additives, and to make recipes more vegetarian-friendly. She herself is a pescatarian like me! One really neat trick that we learned is to use a juicer to make curry paste from scratch! If you've ever tried to make curry paste, it can be a long process with a mortar and pestle. I've take around 45 minutes to do it myself, and it makes for sore arm and hand muscles, for sure. For green curry paste, we spent probably five minutes using the juicer technique, and the results were amazing! We had plenty of extras to take home. Jirayu was also very generous with her time and answered so many of our questions. We even got to play with her dog, Ziggy!

Not only was her cooking class engaging, but she was knowledgeable, friendly, well prepared, had an awesome Chef's kitchen, and cleanliness was as important to her as it was to us. We came here for an off-site to do some team building like cooking. This is not my first cooking class, nor will it be my last, but this is definitely the best cooking class I've ever taken. And I've taken them all. I've taken Italian food cooking classes, dessert cooking classes, and your good old-fashioned American Cooking Class, but this one blew me away. I'm not going to lie, we had a busy group that had to take business calls and work inbetween cooking, and Jirayu took it all in stride. She even had a sense of humor saying we were the only group should have ordered three entrees without any dessert or appetizers LOL. Our first dish was spicy crab which was prepared fresh by us, but was chopped up and cleaned by her. Our next dish was the pad thai. Our third dish was chicken Pumpkin Curry. We were broken out in two teams of two, and each team would prepare its own meal. Not to brag or anything but we had the best Pad Thai, even the instructor said that. I also liked how the instructor accommodated a vegetarian in our class, and was able to accommodate people who liked Spicy Thai food on a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being wild and 10 being flaming hot. For those who wanted flaming hot our instructor was nice enough to take out some Chili's to make the dish extra extra spicy. She told us she does this as her full-time job, and I support her 100%. She's an awesome cook and a great instructor. Take her class you won't regret it!

The dinner was hosted at our airbnb and she came well prepared with her own table settings and cookware. Her and her sous chef (her husband ) were so warm, kind and professional! The courses included 2 starters, a main, 2 shareable dishes, and dessert. I wish I could tell you which was my favorite dish, but they were all incredibly made and it is so hard to choose! You can tell Chef Monmon takes great pride in her craft and has a commitment to wholesome ingredients. Many of the herbs provided were hand grown from her garden. She also believes in providing clean meals. One of the dishes, for example, included green beans cooked with reserve osmosis water (triple filtered purified water) aka the cleanest most delicious green beans I've ever eaten! You will not regret having Chef Monmon at your next event!

And she does that through food and hand-picked dishes that you will never uncover without a guide. Even though locations may change per tour, our group tasted a mix of cultures and got some stories behind the dishes, the restaurants, and their owners. Few examples - * Russian cuisine - Herring with a pickled onion on fresh bread * Indian street food - I was surprised how much I enjoyed this vegan street snack - I would have never ordered anything without meat, and I dislike spinach, but the fried spinach snack was mind-blowingly good. * Mexican - Quesadilla with plantain. Again, no meat but it was soooooo good. * Chinese - Glazed Pork and pork-filled bun I won't spoil the surprise for some of the other locations. And more, and more - Total of about 7-8 places. You won't stay hungry, guaranteed. The walk itself is not challenging; there are no hills to overcome, even though it's San Francisco. Don't wait - Just go!

The fine arts program is fantastic the band has sounded amazing and the dance program is popping off. The sports programs have been doing amazing recently basketball is being coached extremely well soccer aswell. The main problem i have with this school is the administrators. Ive never seen them happy literally ever and they always hating for no reason except the principle hes mysterious but hes cool. I havent even seen the one of the vice principals which is crazy. I feel so bad for Dr.McDonald because she is literally carrying this school on her back she puts in so much effort and has to take up so many classes and all of this because no one else wants to. The admins who barely do anything always taking credit for everything that the students and she does.
