Dr. Lokot told me, when I was referred to him by by new dentist to extract a second tooth, that he could do the implant. I am now the happy (ugh), and poorer owner of two dynamite implants and crowns, and am able to naturally chew for the first time in years. I have one more tooth to extract and do an implant, and I know I will receive the best of care and expertise.

My dentist recommended I go see Dr. Posek to get my wisdom tooth removed. I had only one left…read more(number 1 tooth - upper right) and it needed to come out. On the day of the appointment, I chose local anesthesia. Dr. Posek gave me two shots to get numb. He then came back to do the procedure which took less than 1 minute. I couldn't believe he was done. He prescribed pain meds...but when the anesthesia wore off, I didn't even need them. If you are not comfortable with local anesthesia, you can always pick general anesthesia and they will put you under. Dr. Posek is seriously awesome and excellend at what he does!

Had one of the worst dental cleanings and experiences of my entire life there today…read more The hygienist I normally go to was no longer there so they put me with a new hygienist Kevin. Where to start with this train wreck. Numbing gel - After he placed it in my mouth I asked Kevin if he was starting with the top. His response was not sure until I look in your mouth. Okay then why are you numbing a section you might not start with. He then polished my teeth before doing the cleaning saying it will get more off. First time in my history of getting cleaning someone did this. Also small bits were stuck in my teeth from this process prior to the scraping. Scraping: I was on a constant basis poked with the cleaning tool outside the gum area. Sections they don't clean. Mentioning that because when the dentist came in he started gaslighting me about it's normal. No it actually isn't. Then Kevin told me I was done without actually scraping the top. I said, wait don't you have to do the top. He said he did and I just didn't feel it. HUH?! Then he got flustered and said he's only human and can do it again. I told him he is scaring me at this point. Then I looked at my teeth and there where cuts in the gum area. I told him I'm concerned poking me with a sharp object like that can cause infection going from scraping to poking me in random gum areas. He gets flustered and gets the Dr. Ludwig. My entire gum area is inflamed. There was a clear cut above one of my gums. Then the dentist starts to gaslight me and tell me bleeding is normal during a cleaning and it's normal for my gums to get inflamed. I was saying there is a cut. He again starts gaslighting me and says that's just your gum. UNBELIEVABLE! I'm livid. I don't even thing the top section of my mouth was done. Then Kevin says he needs to floss. I say I'll do it. Then he walks away. I say where is the floss. He said in your to go bag. WTF?! I said I was going to do it there a normal part of my cleaning. Not going to guess what is happening with this hygienist, but I should not have to pay the price and risk my health for this. Then I say to the dentist again I'm concerned about that cut. They they all say I did it by flossing. I didn't floss that area. That area was why the dentist was called in. At check out I was having a conversation about switching insurance and that's why I'm holding the appt. The receptionist says well if this dental office isn't right for you. Yeah it's definitely not right for me. There have been various other miscommunications prior to this incident where they pawned off verifying their tier plans when it's the dental offices job. Not mine to have time wasted talking to insurance. The receptionist with the gray hair I can't communicate with period I find the communication style extremely annoying and weird. Anyway time to move on. Disappointed at the way I was treated today. She has also taken care of my ex boyfriend who had not seen a dentist in many years and needed a deep cleaning. she essentially saved his teeth and did not charge an arm and a leg while doing so. In fact, she is so passionate and compassionate about helping others that it makes even the most distrustful (of dentists) relax around her. I finally decided to I wanted to get the Zoom Teeth whitening treatment (she never pushes anything but is always willing to answer truthfully about whether I need anything else or not) once she explained how it worked, I was finally ready to do it, not at all expecting the spectacular results!! i am quite in shock (in a great way) about how white they got!! I did not have great expectations going in as I try to be realistic about any procedure. Fortunately, she has a great technician who works with her and performed my procedure. he answered more of my questions and explained how the system works extremely well. i felt completely comfortable after. He and the Dr. did warn me that there would be some sensitivity during and after the procedure and that he could not predict how white they would get as everyone is different. He was so great at applying the gum barriers and other things he would need to perform the treatment. he is a PRO!! it went super smoothly and eased my mind that I could endure the hour plus it would take to get them whitened. I thought I would be gagging or super thirsty/needing to spit, etc., but I felt relaxed the whole time. He would check in on me throughout the procedure and all was well. Immediately I noticed the results and was blown away!! Even Paul, the tech was pleasantly surprised, I think, at the optimal results I got!! I took before and after pics on my phone and even the after doesn't do it justice in person. They explained the after care (DO NOT eat or drink anything with pigment or color as your enamel is more porous for 48 hrs) and you armed me about the zingers (as they called it, accurate description) of random areas of tooth sensitivity by stimulates nerves and to take an OTC pain killer to manage them. I felt them here and there throughout the first day (shocking and quickly passing, but manageable) and no more by then he next morning!! Needless to say I am ecstatic and have already received so many compliments and everyone has noticed right away how great and natural they look!! Supremely happy I decided to do this and with her office, i would have never thought about doing it if I did not know and trust her and her staff completely, she is the best at everything she does, and if there is anything she does not specialize in, she will refer you to the best!! In doing research, I came across his website and tons of advertising, web videos, testimonials, etc. He strongly hyped his qualifications and expert status on TMJ as well as hyping the NTI night guard, making it sound like it's a very new treatment he's an expert with and that he's particularly special and singular in offering it versus other dentists who just do night guards. None of what he said in that paragraph proved particularly true. Particularly, his "about me" section on his website is highly deceiving as he touts himself as some expert regarding the future of dental care, with stuff on his website talking about nano-bots, but most of this fails to amount to anything of substance in terms of care for patients. The result is that I got burned by him. After an initial consult where he echoed the many filmed testimonials from patients and his expertise with treating and fixing people's TMJ, I really came away with feeling that he possessed the answer and that his method of treating TMJ was special to him and something he was expert at among dentists. I didn't realized how much I was being over sold. In some sense, he played on my hopes. The biggest problem and complaint here was what I wound up getting charged. I feel like an idiot now that I did more research on my options after having my TMJ issues get worse and found what it should have cost, not to mention the oversell I was given. In short, he charged me $1,000 for basically molding an NTI device. I was relatively broke at the time, didn't have dental insurance, was desperate for relief, and had asked if he could work with me on price (he said he couldn't). I ended up being deceived into thinking a treatment option that is pretty widely offered, not particularly difficult to offer, and usually low cost needed to cost me $1,000 and deceived that he painted himself as a highly qualified expert in LA in treating TMJ, and I recall he specifically generalized that most dentist don't know what he knows in how to treat TMJ. I've heard on message boards it usually costs the price of the visit plus $200 for them to send away to labs to make it. Even at the highest prices I've heard people pay for it, it usually is a total of $700 max for all of it. BS aside, all I wound up actually getting was what I later found out to be an extremely boiler plate dental treatment that any dentist can provide - except some dentists see too many downsides with (which he didn't mention) - and there was nothing expert in what he did. And what is worse is that I later found out it's questionable if he even followed the manufacture's protocols: 1) He chose to mold it to lower teeth, when the manufacturer recommends the upper for when the "incisal overlap is greater than 50%" 2) The vertical dimension of the occlusion isn't supposed to increase when the jaw juts forward. 3) He made it sound as if once it's adjusted, you can't add back height to it, when that's not true. 4) The height is too high still. There's even a question after reading more literature if I was even a good candidate for the NTI because I tend to clench so much and have side to side movement. I wasn't even consulted on this possibility when speaking to him. It was all "you're perfect" for it and how great the results are. The only thing he offered was "a very small group of my patients, less than 5% report it not working," which I personally call BS on now that I know what I know and would be highly curious how he came to this figure. The result is that I gradually got more jaw pain due to the treatment I received. Now don't get me wrong, he's a very personable, nice guy. As a general dentist - teeth cleaning, etc. he probably is just fine. But he's someone who drastically over-promotes his abilities - particularly in the area of TMJ specialty. I'm very unhappy with how I felt I was over sold, deceived, and overcharged. I now know that I should have sought someone who did real imaging for jaw occlusion, but this set me back so much, it prevented that from happening sooner. What's worst, I would have sued him based on the deception, mistakes that it seems he made, and that it seemed to worsen my condition, but he is very snakey in making sure you sign off on a document saying something to the effect of "you can't sue." That should have been the biggest red flag. I am trying to move on, but I do really question Dr. Reifman's integrity and his business practices. Like I said, I'm sure for the basic teeth cleaning he's fine, but I would really question what he says, even to the point that if you were to use him as a general dentist, I would get second opinions on anything major, even fillings.

When I asked why, they said, "Well, the $128 is for the cleaning, but since you're a new patient, you also have to pay for a full exam and x-rays." That extra cost was never mentioned during the confirmation call the day before--even though I asked specifically for the total. I explained that I had rescheduled business commitments to make this appointment and had already been in once and paid $140. Their only response was, "Sorry for the confusion." But they still expected me to pay the full $350. I left without getting treated. To make matters worse, my wife was there just two months ago as a first-time patient and paid only $128 for her cleaning--with no exam or x-rays. When I asked why, they said, "Oh, because she's pregnant, so we made an exception." So apparently they can make exceptions, but won't when they're the ones who made the mistake. This office is extremely disorganized, misleading, and unprofessional. They overcharge and don't communicate clearly with patients.
