I usually don't review places but I had to this time. My experience at BS Wisniewski was outstanding. One of my hearing aids was broken and was told by my audiologist that it couldn't be fixed and was too old to update the software. I couldn't use the app anymore too because they needed to be updated. They said I had to buy new ones for approximately $4000. Thought I'd get a second opinion with a location that accepts my new health coverage. Brian at BS Wisniewski was amazing. He not only fixed the broken one but updated the software in both too! Now I can use the app again. All for $150! All of the office staff were so nice too. It's reallly busy there because they are so good. Highly recommended! I am very disappointed with the overall performance of my Starkey Edge AI hearing aids. Originally purchased in June of 2025, I have had multiple issues from the start. The sound quality in a quiet environment while having a one-on-one conversation is outstanding, however, once additional elements are added e.g. TV/Radio playing in the background, a noisy environment such as a restaurant, or if outside: road noise, cars traveling past or a car heater blower, the clarity and comprehension of a conversation is severely compromised. In addition, 12 -15 times a day there is a painfully loud chirping sound that is heard in both ears. In an effort to resolve these issues I have been seen every two weeks for adjustments and calibrations, all to no avail. A few months ago the hearing aids were sent back to the factory per my request and were replaced, (although I can not confirm that new units were sent back since the serial numbers remain identical). Note: The new hearing aids provided no improvement. During my last appointment I inquired as to whether or not I could simply trade these hearing aids in for a pair of their middle of the road models, this request was denied. I have no further recourse since the trial time limit has expired. I have also now been placed on a 4-month rotation, leading me to believe that the specialists I have been working with have simply given up on trying to resolve these issues. read more

UHC insurance referred me to BS Wisniewski for my very first hearing evaluation. There was no sound booth -- just sitting across the desk to push a button at the sounds. It was difficult to respond because of the chatter and movement going on in the hallway just outside. I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere. There, the specialist first looked into my ears. He found one ear was 50% covered with wax and the other was 100% covered. Only after that was solved did he test my hearing. In his office with insulation on the door and in a sound booth. I can't professionally compare the test results of the two different offices, but taking a look inside my ears and quiet professionalism in the office matter to me. read more

BS Wisniewski is a provider for my United Health Care Medicare Advantage. Take advantage of this benefit. Brian at BSW was able to get me their latest technology hearing aids from Starky. I saved alot of money from UHC and great service from BSW. Brian was great. (word of caution though, UHC makes you pay up front for your hearing aids. This can be up to $2,000). BSW is a nice Milwaukee family business. Scott is dad and Brian is son. I met with both. Excellent service. The people that take your appointment are nice too. All very professional. They are the only hearing aid center in Milwaukee that could answer my questions and help me with a brand of hearing aides that does not have a dealer in Milwaukee, so I did not have to drive back to Rhinelander where I had purchased them. I purchased new aides from them. I am completely satisfied with the service I received in the purchase of my hearing aides. You can not read a newspaper without seeing 2-3 adds about hearing aid establishments and I went to several and tried their devices only to be disappointed in either their explanation on functionality, having a fee charge during a trial period or not feeling confident in the "so-called" professional attending me. This was not the case with B.S. Wisniewski Customer Hearing Instruments, not only were they well schooled in knowing and explaining all functions of their hearing aids, they also allowed me ample time (a few weeks) to try different hearing aids out (no charge) and at the end of each week I would have an appointment with Brian where we reviewed how they functioned in different hearing situations, Brian then made adjustments until I was comfortable with the performance.
