The absolute worst. After having an initial call with Camari on March 8, he informed me of the…read moreprocess. First pay the invoice then submit the paperwork and he takes care of the rest. After weeks going by with no communication from him, someone from his team reached out on March 31 asking me for all of my information which was odd because he kept stressing that I needed to pay the invoice first. Not too big of a deal though at this point. I hear nothing else from him or his team (despite having reached out and receiving no response) until they provide my filing on April 17. With my filing, they provided a document with information on how much money I owed, to which agency I owed it, and how to pay it. They provided a payment plan with amounts and dates due to the bottom of this document. The first payment was listed as being due the very next day. I messaged him a little frustrated with his as he gave me no advance notice that I would need to make a payment the next day. To this, he responds that I have 60 days to submit a payment without penalty. Fast forward to June 11, I receive a letter from the IRS saying that I have not paid my amount in full and am being charged penalties. I was very confused since they laid out a payment plan for me. When I messaged Camari about this, his response was, "I didn't set up a payment arrangement for you with the IRS for your outstanding 2021 taxes. What I provided you with were estimated tax vouchers for your 2022 taxes. Paying these will help you to avoid oweing any taxes at the end of this year. You will still need to pay your 2021 taxes if you have not paid them yet." This is a complete lie and contrary to the document he provided. I know of others who have used their service this year and I know that Camari takes no accountability or integrity. He hasn't even bothered to respond to my follow up message. Do not use this service! It will cost you more money and stress if you do.

We returned all of our documents well ahead of their early-March deadline and, after I prodded them for confirmation of receipt, we heard nothing else. Several days before tax deadline, they sent a mass email to all clients suggesting that if we hadn't heard from them yet, they would file an extension. I reached out by email and phone--several times--the weeks before and following April 15, with no response or even confirmation of receipt of my communications. At that point, we had no confirmation that our tax documents were actually in their queue or that an extension had definitely been filed on our behalf. Frankford responded (via email) many days later and, while they acknowledged that this was a difficult year for them, they provided little to no proactive explanation of our taxes, nor did they review any of the returns with us. A week ago, we received a letter from the IRS that our taxes had been filed incorrectly. We understand that accountants make errors, however, despite reaching out to Frankford about the error, we have yet to hear back to understand what happened. It seems their lack of communication is not limited to the weeks around tax filing deadline. We will be looking for another tax professional next year, and would encourage others to approach Frankford with caution.
