I came here with a friend for a late lunch in the afternoon. The restaurant is located in a small plaza with other businesses like the Grocery Outlet and Dollar Tree. So there was a good-sized parking lot with alot of parking spaces. I got the Chicken Pad Thai at medium spice and a Thai Tea with boba. My friend and I also split eggrolls. I have to say, those eggrolls were phenomenal. They were just perfect in every way, they had a very crispy golden texture on the outside. The filling was very flavorful, the meat was seasoned well. I loved everything about it and out of the many Asian restaurants I've been to in the area, their eggrolls are my favorite and at the top of my list. My Chicken Pad Thai was decent. The spice level was perfect, flavor was good, and the portion size was very nice. For me, I feel like flavor could've been a little stronger, it just felt weak to me. My entree was okay, not bad at all by any means, but it just wasn't my favorite. It didn't stand out to me. I'd probably go to another place for their Pad Thai rather than here. The Thai Tea itself was delicious, it was sweet, creamy, and still had that Thai Tea flavor that shined through. However the boba/tapioca pearls were very tough. It was very tough and hard to chew. It didn't taste like a fresh batch, they weren't soft and chewy at all so I'm assuming it's from an older batch from a couple hours ago. The inside was alright, there were many tables to sit and eat at. Once we got inside, the server told us to sit anywhere we'd like and order at the front. I promise you that their Pho can heal your soul. I've had all of their Pho and the crispy tofu is my favorite so far. The staff is absolutely sweet as pie.. My son has tried all of their sushi rolls but is partial to The Crunchyroll. I personally have never stayed in restaurant to eat. I usually go home and eat. So that I can be gluttonous in private. I highly recommend them if you're ever in the Ringold area. read more

Well, I can't believe I have to leave this review. Only doing it because the way things were handled. Never had a problem with this place. Always been 5 stars for me. Ate there at least 3 times a month. Until today. Had a problem, the rice was sticky and mushy. The cabbage had no flavor and had a smell to it. Old brownish colored broccoli and the sushi was not good. The only thing ok was the steak. I did call to let him know. He didn't like that too well. I had a very disappointing experience here. The pad Thai had an off-putting taste that can only be described as dirty sink water. It was not edible. When we brought this to the attention of the woman at the front and politely requested a refund, we were told, "everyone else liked it today," and "I can't give you a refund solely based on how it tastes. If there was something wrong with it, we could refund you." That response was frustrating and illogical -- the taste of food is absolutely an indicator that something can be wrong. Instead of addressing the issue and prioritizing customer service, they chose to dismiss the concern and keep the money. We won't be returning. read more

This little thai place is hiding in Ringgold by the United Grocery Outlet. Saw it by chance and got appetizers of dumplings and crab ragoon. Crab ragoon is like cheesecake yum. Only had it like this once before. Really tasty!! Returned with hubby with thai fetish... entrees of spicy beef basil, panang curry, and pad see ew (knew these as drunken noodles prior favorite thia restaurant). Always get thai tea. The nom-tok (beef) was soaked in baking soda...wayyyyy too long. Its mouth-feel and taste was totally off due to having been drowned in baking soda (a trick in the Asian restaurant industry to tenderize meat...meat that you hope is beef). Don't soak so long and rinse thoroughly. It was gross. The papaya salad was OK. veggie rice was a little off but tolerable. Took 40 mins to get my take-out order ready. Not acceptable at all. I'm trying to be fair; however, they were not busy when I walked in and gave my order. One small family was ahead of me. I made and paid for my order. They told me it would be a few minutes. Understood. I said I am going next door to do some shopping and would be right back in a few minutes (so they could prepare the food I'd just paid for). Came back in 20 mins and still had to wait another 20 mins. People that had come in AFTER me had already had their food (dine-in and take-out). NOT COOL! You prepare the orders as they come in. If my food sits there for five mins for me to get back my problem, not yours. It was apparent they were understaffed. Got it, but don't ignore my order that was put in before others that were half way through with their dine-in that were not even there when I stepped in to place and pay for my order. Ambiance is lacking. You have to go to a central location to get some napkins and plasticwares/chopsticks. Overall, I'm generous in providing a three-star review. With all the other competition, I don't know that I'll give them another try anytime soon. Another lesson learned for me, is to NOT tip until you receive your order. Had I not tipped as I paid for the order, I would not have left any time at the time of pick-up. That part is very much my fault. Again, lesson learned. read more

They had reasonably decent food for a reasonably decent price, though standards did start slipping in the aftermath of the pandemic. However the new owners have taken it to a new level, keeping elements of the old menu but adding some great Thai dishes. Everything tastes fresher and the pho might possibly be the best in Chattanooga. I hope word gets out, they're a hit and they can maintain the new standard for a long time. It really depends on what you're looking for; temper your expectations accordingly. If you want inexpensive Japanese/Asian-inspired food for lunch, this place ain't bad...just not the sushi. Their M-F Lunch Teriyaki Chicken special is a good value ($4.99 for a load of food) The teriyaki sauce has a sweet flavor and thick consistency. The chicken was clearly white-meat chicken, with no breading (the way it should be for teriyaki chicken); I did not encounter any tough, chewy, or otherwise inedible parts. The "Sushi". I guess technically you can call their options sushi but they're all Maki type rolls; none of which contained traditional raw fish options. Perhaps I'm too picky but if you're going to charge $4.75 for one roll, you should use top quality ingredients. I tried a "Philadelphia Roll" which contained rice, seaweed, avocado, smoked salmon, and cream cheese. The roll itself had a decent presentation but lacked flavor. The smoked salmon's flavor was so light and delicate, it was easily overpowered by the thick vein of cream cheese (too much, really). Maybe replacing the cream cheese with peeled cucumber would improve the overall taste and balance (?). I'm not sure where it all went wrong exactly but the roll as a whole just lacked flavor; it was bland - even the soy sauce couldn't help it. It wasn't repulsive, but I didn't even bother finishing the remaining pieces - it wasn't worth the calories. Condiments: The "Yum Yum" sauce (I think most other places call this "shrimp sauce") was tasty; I couldn't tell if it's homemade or if it's off-the-shelf stuff as I am not a connoisseur of shrimp sauce. The "wasabi" offered with the sushi: Please consider using a better quality product, or nothing at all. The neat cubed shape made for a nice presentation but it was more like a greenish, grainy horseradish paste, pressed into a cube. The pickled ginger: It was pink. I didn't try it. The soy sauce offered in packets was definitely the "bargain basement" soy sauce; it had hardly any flavor at all - it tasted more like salty brown water than true, aged soy sauce. "Silverware" - finally, an establishment that offers "plasticware" worth using! Don't change this part. If you're looking for Japanese food that will awaken your palate and provide a party in your mouth, keep looking. However, if you're looking for a cheap lunch that's not too bad, give this one a try - just not the sushi. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was clean and well-lit. The only Japanese restaurant I can go to and consistently not have my meat dry and chewy. Its become our go to! The sushi leaves some to be desired with variety.
