We had a great time. We are visiting Idaho and wanted to take our toddler to see some animals. Definitely felt that it was worth it for the price. There's lots of animals to see, and the feed cups were pretty big compared to what we've gotten at other places before. I wish I had gotten their names, but one of the ladies running the register, and one of the men working in the goat enclosure; they were both so kind and welcoming! Scammmerrrrssss! Came from out of town to have the otter experience. We arrived on time and there was another group ahead of us who went first. We were also informed that they believe one otter is pregnant so we were not able to have the full experience we paid for. We decided to make the best of it since we were able to feed them still. Once we got to the encounter, all that was allowed was feeding them through a tiny hole and see them from behind a fence with a small window. When it was our turn, the employee stated they didn't know we were there for the otter experience and that the group ahead of us already fed them. So we were able to watch them play in the water which we could've done as a regular guest as well. They put their hands through the tiny holes but only 2-3 times since we didn't have food. We asked for a refund since we were not able to do anything that was advertised and Shyanne, the manager, didn't have the decency to talk to us and sent someone else over to say there was nothing they could do. Very sad this was my birthday experience and they did not make it right. Didn't offer a discount or other encounter that was open. Spend your money elsewhere because these people clearly don't care about their guests, or animals by the looks of the place. read more

The camel bit me when I was on a field trip in pre-school, yes it may have been 19 years ago but I'm still afraid of that same camel. This camel keeps me awake at night. Then, same pre school and another field trip (guess where?) BABBY FARMS. We went here again and guess what? THE CAMEL BIT ME AGAIN. Finally, it was 4th grade and we went to... Those poor, filthy, matted, depressed and anxious animals. My heart broke and I wanted to help them all. Food was their only motivation. Most laid in their own filth or had bald spots. Many paced and were aggressive. Their habitats aren't maintained and they need help. Please don't go. I didn't name the place when I posted to social media about my experience and yet others in the area knew just where I had been. They also were so sad after visiting. I hope the owners can find more help and treat these wonderful animals better or gives them to a facility that can. read more

Make this a must stop if you have kids and a love large variety of animals. Arrived on a Friday morning and parked free in the gravel parking lot. Purchased tickets and feed in the gift shop and off we went on our adventure. Some enclosures have staff to assist you with helpful advise. All enclosures have signs to help make the adventure safe and fun. We all felt the indoor enclosure to be the most satisfying with the coatimundi, porcupine, wolf, and bunnies for kids to per. The entire facility including the restrooms were clean and well maintained. Check the attraction out if your in the area. read more

Really enjoyed this non profit out in the country. It was established to allow disabled adults and children interact with a variety of animals. Kangaroos, ponies, goats, monkeys, camels and so many more. All the animals looked healthy and happy. They have been trained to be gentle with people. You can buy a cup of pellets and feed many of them. The animals in cages had lots of toys to play with. Concrete paths throughout. Staff kept all the pens clean. A fun day for anyone that likes animals. My granddaughters age 7 and 9 had a great time. read more

This is a mixed review on Babby Farms. I like the idea that animals have a home but......I felt that the animals were unkept and sad looking. We (family of 6) visited the farm yesterday. The cost of all 6 was $60.00. Ouch - but we all had decided that we were good with the price if the money goes toward the well being and upkeep of the animals. It was 105 degrees - we didn't see a lot of water for the animals and no to very little shade. The animals were unkept - meaning the sheep, the camels and horses were matted and just sad looking. The whole overall appearance of the farm made us sad. I am writing to not be negative of Babby Farms - but perhaps to give an awareness that perhaps we as a community could donate to this kind cause of giving a nice(r) home to the animals. I think it wouldn't take a ton of money to improve the quality of this location and their lives. It is my hope that swift improvements can be made. I for one - would be interested in giving a donation. read more

We were very disappointed and sad after visiting here. All the farm animals were very dirty with matted hair and pens full of feces. They seemed bored and stressed. The wild animals had very small enclosures, and they also appeared bored and stressed. Very few trees and shade for many of the animals. The indoor area also contained animals with sadly inadequate spaces and smelled badly. The couple staff we talked with were not very friendly and didn't seem to know much about the animals. I asked the man in the store about the unkempt animals and feces and he said they only had two staff to tend to the grooming and cleaning of the farm animals so they had to rotate through them. read more

Had a wonderful time with our grandchildren at Babby Farms. The staff were friendly, supportive and eager to make our experience fun and memorable. The interaction with the animals was awesome. I was really excited to visit Babby Farms based on their mission statement and that they were a non profit! As soon as I came back to town, Babby Farms was at the top of my list. The staff we encountered were pleasant, however, the signs of stress some of the animals exhibited was shocking. I did not expect to see such stressed primates. I moved to the SD so I have been frequenting the zoo here, and the mannerisms of the animals are night and day. Since the staff was so nice, I decided not to say anything and just went home. I have since learned that some of the creatures here have perished from the poor conditions. If you love animals, stay away from here! You can almost feel the sadness of the animals, not a fun experience for anyone. read more

When we went 6ish years ago, we asked about the shade for people and animals and were told by the owner who was at the front, that they would be planting trees around the property for the essential shade this place needs... there's still no trees. The animals are just baking in this heat with no reprieve.. it's disgusting for humans to "rescue" these animals just so they can be on display and basically "tortured" in the conditions they are contained in. There have been no improvements in that time, and you'd think that would be long enough between visits to see improvement of the care of these animals. There sadly is not. I would not waste your money or time unless you either enjoy seeing miserable animals who have no formal care; or you're going out there to document the horrid conditions so maybe these people who claim to "take care" of these poor animals will take some initiative and get their head on straight. I went back here and I feel like they have done a lot better but they definitely need to get on the shaving of the animals it is way to hot right now to be having these animals will almost full coats. I felt so bad for the black face sheep with "white fur"... also the porcupine was so desperate to be cool due to the heat he was all the way in the corner where the mister was hitting but directly in the sun... ironic. A little spendy for what you get but I am a fan of supporting this organization and happier to pay here than a ream your wallet Roaring Springs day - staff/volunteers are friendly and you can tell are in love with the animals. Tender and kind. The only complaint I have is that pictures on their site don't exactly represent what you can do here. There are pictures of people with the zebra(now in a pen that says "don't touch I bite") and with a lemur on their neck (now it's too old can't do that but he did grab my finger with his tiny fuzzy primate hand and that was delightful) Animal interaction is limited to a few livestock (the yak is adorable) and a small tortoise from what I could tell. Still a good trip - clean and well cared for grounds and animals. A good day for ages 5 and under, unless your kiddo is a real animal fan. My 6 year old was bored until the camel bit my head. He thought that was pretty hilarious. Ps. Barnyard selfies are difficult but NOT impossible. Maybe the guided tour offers more interaction with animals? read more

Fun place for kiddos 2 and up. Animals are well cared for and they don't feel " caged ". Take sun hat, closed toe shoes and water btl. You walk outside in an open area and lots of pebbles, sand and gravel to walk on. Not cheap for an outing but animals are adorable. Especially the oters, monkeys and baby bush. read more

If you love animals this is the place to go, yes the zoo in Boise is cool and all, but trust me this is way better It was very comfortable, the animals don't look all depressed like they do at zoos, which to me is very important. We are moving to Caldwell and couldn't believe a place like this was in our little town! Fell in love via pictures through their FaceBook page (good follow). Well we were in town and headed on out. Here's my thoughts. 1. During the summer it will be hot. Bring water. Dress appropriately. Don't let the hot weather discourage you though. 2. Friendly staff. Tickets are inexpensive and if you are a senior or a veteran than you get a discount.....BONUS! 3. Buy some food! You will love feeding the animals. It's not expensive. 4. Take your time. There are a lot of animals to see. Hooked animals can be fed.....except the feisty Zebra. Pet the animals and enjoy. Just be smart and don't put your hands in your mouth after (parents this means your kids too). There are hand sanitizing stations all over. 5. The animals are WELL taken care of. Don't listen to some amateur YELP reviewer telling you the animals are sick and dehydrated. They all were lively....unless they were napping in the heat. Oh and they love to be petted 6. The staff outside are willing to talk to you.....tell you about the animals and if your lucky you can feed the monkeys. What an amazing time. If you are close. Come support them. We love this place. It's a lot bigger than anticipated and there are so many animals to feed and interact with. First experience was super. Second was dulled a little by a snippy young girl at the register and the fact they have switched to quarters as go for food instead of buying a bag as you enter. It won't deter us from going but customer service first time around was very friendly and second time was so so besides the lady in the rain forest area, she was super nice. read more

My family went for the first time on Saturday 5/16/2020, I've been following them on Facebook for awhile and we were absolutely blown away! The staff was friendly and answered so many questions, gave us stories about each of the animals so that we felt like friends not visitors. I have an autism spectrum son and adhd in all three kids so the wide walking paths and limiting how many people in the petting pens was phenomenal. Thanks Babby Farms we will be back soon! Such a cute place. A lot more than I expected! My 2 year old had a fun time but would say 3-4 would be a perfect age. It's hot out there so take water and a hat. It is a stroller friendly place also. Take quarters to get food to feed the animals and maybe a cup to put food in for the little ones so they can feed the animals safely. It took us a good hour and a half to go through the whole area (with a 2 year old lol). A little out of the way to get to but worth it. We will be back! read more

Babby Farms is so much fun. There is so much to see and so many animals to feed. If you are an animal lover this is your dream location. I would say it is for ages 4+ as I watched a little one get knocked down by some of the animals. The variety of animals this place has is incredible and I have yet to meet a staffee that isn't professional and outgoing. Love is an understatement of how much I enjoy this place. And there are PONY RIDES..............so much fun for a few hours on a weekend. read more

My friend paid for a goat and lab and gave them to me. I filled out the paperwork and bought them collars and we put them on them and i was told i can pick them.up at the end of August. Well I went out to visit them again and the goat was missing its collar .. then I was told this evening the lamb was sold from under.. nice way to run a business. Themn i was told that the receipt i was sent by email isn't valid for the goat and lamb and they paperwork i filled out doesn't count and they are just going to refund the money to much friend who bought them for me.. so what good was filling out the paperwork, buying the collar, and getting the receipt sent to my email?
