In that four months my foot became infected several times after all the stitches broke and I was left with a gaping infected wound that took over a month to heal. Was never told about going in for wound care. Communication was poor, no response on several occasions when I called or messaged the person responsible for communication, Becky. When I asked Dr. Hunt why the communication was so bad, he said that he had poor people working for him, and immediately threw her under the bus. The portal for Foot Clinic didn't ever work, contributing to the lack of communication. The places I went to did not receive current X-rays or information regarding what was done. It is now eight months since the original surgery and will finally be able to wear a shoe again. I cannot recommend The Foot Clinic based on the failed surgery and poor follow up care. They didn't communicate important information and left me waiting for 4 months, and then I was the one that had to suggest I get a second opinion. Being charged for follow up care was the final straw.

After aggressive PT, additional nerve stimulation was needed to prevent falling. That's when I went to SFT. I had researched various options with my PT team & on my own before my appt. After a brief history I told him which dorsiflex stimulator I wanted a referral for. I showed him what I could do on my own. Then I admitted my preference to being barefoot. He agreed & sent my referral off. I promised if it didn't work I'd be open to wearing shoes at home.
