They did good work. Broke my molding on the install, but at least the are leaps and bounds better than Gercios in Islip. Those guys (gercios)could not even change my oil correctly. (Did not change oil or filter...just added two quarts to the old oil and almost blew my engine) Ruined my front rotors on my car. Installed front pads BACKWARDS on my wife's Jeep. Gercios is a mess. Lol Anyway bab auto was not cheaper or more expensive, but they did the work well. (Installed new starter on a Nissan Armada...which if you know anything about cars, it is located in the middle of the engine under the intake manifold,,,,freakin Nissan!!! I have replaced many starters in my life but I was not going to attempt to breakdown then replace half the engine to get to this Armada starter). read more

A 30 year old female walks into an auto body shop alone.... Mike will try to take advantage of you. Threatening to fail your NYS inspection if you don't purchase $55 wiper blades from them. Even though your wiper blades work and look like they are brand new. He will also act like he is doing you a favor "we will install them for free." Then when you stand your ground and refuse new wiper blades by saying "fail my inspection, just make sure you make a note that the wiper blades are why" he goes to the garage to talk about you to the other employees and comes back out to say "you know what, I took a look at your wiper blades and you can just change them yourself." These people are the absolute SCUM OF THE EARTH trying to scam innocent people. Safe to say I will not be a returning customer. read more

Can I give negative 5 stars? lol...Let me start out with saying that I'm mechanically inclined & have done most of my own repairs throughout my life. I've done head gaskets, timing chains, brakes, rotars etc. but, I'm getting lazy as I get older & I'll treat myself with a mechanic shop every now & then... if he's reasonable. So here goes my story....Sign out front "Free AC check up". My AC had just gone out on me in my spare pick up truck. Im the original owner & use it for runs up to Home Depot or about town. So, even though it's old I keep it in good mechanical shape. The AC was always ice cold & it went out suddenly one night. I put Freon into the system & the AC compressor worked great again for a couple of days & then went out again. I knew I had a leak somewhere. I brang it to Babylon Complete Auto Care, or whatever their name is. They have 3 or 4 different names on the building. That all lead to the same garage. That shoulda been my first red flag. I explained to the owner MIKE, why I thought it was a leak when I dropped it off. He called me with the diagnosis & the estimate, $465.72. It sounded ridiculously high & I told him so. He explained how it was my actual AC unit & the parts involved for repair. It was the first day of September so things would be cooling off soon but, I reluctantly agreed to have the work done. I picked up the truck & the AC worked as I drove off. Now like I said, I don't use the truck very often & it's not my main vehicle. I probably used it just a few times in September & it woulda been after work or at night. So, not really needing to use the AC. Now, fast fwd to April & on the first warm enough day, I go to use the AC. It immediately blows warm & the compressor didn't kick on! This tells me that the guy didn't fix my simple leak & that he had changed parts that did not need to! I called him immediately and drop the truck off showing him my receipt for six months earlier when I dropped it off in September. He called me back within an hour and explained to me that he pressurized the system with air & although it was leaking he could not find it. He claims that the parts that he put in are working and that's all he's guaranteeing. The rest is my problem & that he's not even interested in repairing correctly because "he doesn't wanna be married to it". WHAT A UNPROFESSIONAL NO TALENT CLOWN!!! This guy misdiagnosed the simple leak & charged me $465.72 for parts that did not need. He had no excuse as to why he did not check the system before or after for leaks during his "troubleshooting & repair"! He said he thought it was the AC unit because he thought he saw compressor oil on the unit???!!!! He refused to make good & skated any responsibility to rectify the situation. My entire life, I always handled things like this like a caveman & to great satisfaction. However, I will be the professional that he wasn't & will handle it through the proper channels. I have already taken the necessary legal steps & intend to embarrass this fool & his Mickey Mouse operation. Can u tell I'm pissed yet? Lol Oh, Btw I found the issue with the AC myself! It was the condenser/ evaporator behind the firewall. $250 for all the parts & I did it in my driveway! What a shitty mechanic & even worse... businessman! I had gone to them twice already, since I had passed them when I first moved in back in 2016. They are very reliable and not overbearing with what they think you need. I got an oil change and they've been so good with it. I was a walk in the last time I went and it did take a few hours, but I am very happy with the service and how they don't It's a nice little place and you can enjoy the town while you wait. On top of that, they post this big obnoxious AC advertisement sign on the edge of the parking lot, which makes it impossible to see oncoming traffic if you're trying to turn onto 109. The owner of this auto repair shop is Mike and Mike is a true con artist. Mike will smile to your face while he lies to you and takes your money. Mike will either overcharge you for work done, charge you for work that was never done, or tamper with your vehicle so that your vehicle will continually need to be fixed on a regular basis. If you are a regular customer of Mike's, then I am sure he has done all 3 of those things to you already several times over. Mike is a smooth talker and he coned me a few times but the worst he coned me was with his oil changes. I would bring my vehicle to Mike to get my oil changed every 3,000 miles and Mike was either not changing the oil or he was using dirty recycled oil. Both are bad and my vehicle's engine was eventually permanently ruined. I had a persistent, slow, non visible coolant leak in my 2004 explorer for the past 3 seasons. I found this shop through a recommendation of a friend 2 weeks ago. I called and spoke with Mike and explained my problem, he was able to get me in the next morning to my surprise! I dropped off my truck and explained the problem and he assured me they would find the problem and call me. I got a call the next day that it was the heater core. Mike broke down the cost and I asked for a quote on additional work while Ok-ing the heater core repair. While the dash was out they repaired a few other HVAC components and also changed the oil. 2 days after I dropped it off, the truck was ready to be picked up. Mike explained the invoice while I paid. The leak is gone and I was very pleased with the service! Nothing seemed out of place when I got back in my truck. The shop is very professional and very clean. ***DO NOT GO HERE*** If I could give no stars I would. I seriously can't believe what just happened, The real character of a mechanic shows when something goes not as planned. A 2016 Honda lease, had my tires rotated here in the fall. My tire lug key for my Honda's rims was never put back. I am 100 % certain it was the shop, as no other tire work had been done ever before or since. Had a flat this morning heading to work, went to change to the spare, the special package with the key you MUST have to loosen the lugs was open with the key missing? I never touched it, the car is a new lease, the package with the key was sealed before I had the rotation done, and opened and missing the key this morning. Searched all other possible areas they might have put it with no success. I was forced to call Honda roadside assistance as I was stuck with a flat, have a bad heart and had only one tow. When I got to the Honda dealer and called the shop, I was told how the dealer was gonna rip me off and mike I believe, only talked about that they could do it cheaper? Really? Meanwhile was not taking any ownership for not putting the lug key back? Or even open to the possibility of making a mistake? but immediately flipped it on me, and said I am responsible to make sure the lug key is back etc. After getting a new tire at the dealer, which would not be my preference, I went to the shop. Out of the 5 or 6 they had laying around ( even though they supposedly never forget to put them back) one was a perfect match and fit in the shrink packaging perfectly. He still denied it was even possibly mine and they didn't put it back. Still took no ownership or was slightly even open to the possibility that they messed up. I will never go there again, today cost me $600 in lost wages and a lot of time and stress. They could have at the minimum said it was possible and took ownership or said sorry? I wasn't asking for anything monetary. I am beyond angry and it really cost me so much, consider this a coolheaded review, and my mind is truly blown at how I was treated. My 2006 LandRover overheated recently. Brought it into LandRover to see what the problem was. We knew the coolant was leaking. When I booked the appointment, I specifically said will the truck be seen or will you have an overflow of appointments from the previous week. I was assured the truck would be looked at. Truck sat for two days. Then was "tested" for a few more days. After 8 days at LandRover, they wanted to do more testing to find the problem. After spending close to $500 later and no solution to the problem, I called Hobie Lopez-Garib because I knew her husband had a repair shop. I'm so sorry I didn't go there first. I dropped the truck off to Babylon Complete Auto Repair, her husband's shop, on Tuesday morning at 8:30 am. Mike called me at 10 am to inform me of a crack in my water pump. I asked for an oil change and an inspection since the truck was in the shop anyway. By 2:30 pm, Mike called me to tell me my truck was ready. I can't tell you how impressed I am with his professionalism, his work, his customer service, his shop. His prices were fair and reasonable.
