The word 'frustration' is not even enough to express our experience with Musical Expressions…read more Our 10 year old son was going to attend a piano recital organized by the company. We paid for it a month ahead of the time, cleared our schedules, even had extended family informed. It was supposed to be at 9:45 this morning at a church. We had grandparents from out of town drive 2.5 hours so that they can be a part of it. We bought our son a new suit and dress shoes, as we were emailed by the teacher about the dress code, no gym shoes. We bought flowers to give to our son afterwards to congratulate him. Not even mentioning hours of practice he did for the event and the excitement he had. ALL to get a call 10 minutes prior the event, when we were already in the church parking lot, informing us that the event got cancelled. THE REASON: they could not get into the church. There was ONE, SINGLE, point of contact they had with the church, who failed to show up to let them in. I went to the office as I believe I needed more of an explanation. The staff and owners did not even accept responsibility for this: 'Church person did not show up!'. When I said the place you pick is your responsibility, all they can say was we can happily refund you for the recital money. How are you going to refund the disappointment, frustration and waste of time? Also couple months ago, our teacher was not available for two weeks. Their scheduling is so NOT flexible that they could not schedule make up classes for us at all. We ended up specifically demanding a refund for those classes as they tried to schedule something for weeks but were unable to do so. Our son has been taking classes here for two years now. We love our teacher. But this level of ineptitude displayed by the staff and the owners is just beyond comprehension.

Never in my life have I experienced a private music school with teachers as exceptionally talented,…read moreknowledgeable & personable as SoR Naperville. It's a classy, extremely high caliber music school disguised in a humble, charming building and taught by humble charming people. Additionally, randomly, their bass teachers are also really, really, ridiculously cool. And smart. And funny?! And for some reason their rooms always smell the best?! Anyway, just my observation as someone who walked by it on the sidewalk once and definitely not the bass teacher with the essential oil diffuser (it's cedarwood oil). On a more serious (quarter) note: enrolling your kids here opens them to an extremely supportive, positive, driven community while at the same time exposes them to the highest caliber private & small group music instruction in Naperville.

It's about the The Music: you will be amazed with what the teachers at School of Rock will do with your child. We have done at least a dozen performances series, as well as private lessons, for years. Huge shot out to Adam and Sean!! It's about Teamwork: my 12 year old son practically calls School of Rock Napervillle his second home. It is truly like a family here! Great life lessons are learned behind these doors: Respect, Empathy, Team Skills, and Positive Communication and Affirmation. It's about Passion: my son has found his soul here. He now goes to his piano to wind down and release any stress. This is a life-long gift. We treasure this beyond words can say. School of Rock is a gem. I would recommend starting with a one week Summer Camp. Surely to amaze!!!

A gem of a theater that deserves more notice! I have seen several productions at Vero Voce and I…read morecan honestly say that they are doing all the right things. As an adult theater - the shows range from safe to edgy, which is great to see as it appeals to a broad audience. I'd like to see more edge but all theaters have to keep the lights on, you know? They attract talented actors and directors. The black box is minimal in all senses of the word, but it never hurts the quality. I'd rather see a bare bones set if the show is done well than big budget designs with terrible direction or acting. As a children's theater - all efforts are made to teach their young performers more than just how to stand and look cute. The shows are fun and less "cheesy" than your average kids' productions. You can tell how much work goes into these shows, both on and off stage. Parking is free, there are plenty of refreshments that aren't priced to break the bank, and the staff is warm and welcoming. Sure, there is room for improvement. But for a theater company just now in the end of their second season, they are running like a well oiled machine. Seasoned professionals are behind this operation, and it shows. Check them out!!!

Awesome services. Not only do they teach guitars and other instruments, and voice lessons, but they…read morealso have student workstations set up to teach producing your tracks using iMacs and Apple's Logic Pro X music editing software - which by the way is both known as the software to have, because it's great with medium and pros, but with a little learning curve, also with beginners. It's a great value for parents to get their kids someday, it won't break the bank, and Logic was wisely chosen as the program to teach at this place. They're a great value financially, but the main reason why you'd want to take lessons is because of their very talented teachers. They're all 20s and 30s, so they don't teach the old school Led Zeppelin school of rock oldies. They are more in this day and age of music like hip hop, pop, and electronic EDM. Their sound booths are super large, and their production studios are also very large, loaded with multiple instruments, and super cool. Again, it's cool that they know how to record and produce your music, and that they can add other instruments to your tracks, but in my opinion, what I think is the coolest, is that they have a dozen computers with affordable software parents could buy so that their kids could produce their music on their own. They're really good at showing off, but what got my kid really excited was that she could do things, like copy and paste harmonies of her voice, and as piano and drums, etc herself to her own music (which was great as her vocals and her guitar, but it's truly professional and sellable by electronically/programmatically adding much much more to her basic songs. Excitement in your kid - that's where they really Excel. But holy cow, these guys will take your semi-talented teenager and turn them into the next Taylor Swift or Calvin Harris or Beyonce. Absolute Music Academy is way better than any other place we've been, and we've been to 3 vocal coaches, a guitar coach, and SoR. There's no comparison if your kid wants to play today's music and honestly, quite possibly, turn pro. Good luck. Very affordable. Have fun!

I go to the farm for pickup every week, and I love the variety, that I can pick and choose between over a dozen different herbs and veggies, the extras they often have, the UPick tomatoes and beans and etc. It's also such a relief to know where my food is coming from, that there are no chemical fertilizers or pesticides in it, that it's not downwind a feedlot so no chances of salmonella outbreaks in their leafy greens, that it hasn't been sprayed to ripen -- the peace of mind itself is invaluable. They have three seasons (spring, summer, and fall) that you can sign up for (that often sell out early, especially the summer season), as well as Thursday farmstands in the afternoon. Also, at the beginning of May they sell seedlings, with prices cheaper than The Growing Place, and most of the plants I buy from there thrive in my garden with no additions required (I put compost in the hole and around the base when I first plant them, mulch around the seedlings, and that's pretty much it, by mid-July I'm getting more tomatoes and basil and etc than I know what to do with).
