Unless you've got $600 and 90+ hours to waste…read more I wish there had been a yelp review before I endured 3.5 hrs, twice a week listening to a teacher/instructor read straight from a book. OMG! No explanations. No formulas. No examples. No interaction. No discussions. NOTHING!!!! Our instructor Dennis read on and on for 3.5 hrs straight, in a monotone until it was time for us to go home. I could have learned more had I taken this course online. What a complete waste of my time and money. The RE course is difficult and Dennis is only a mouth piece. Everything I learned I did so on my own studying at home, which left me with the question, why go there? Every class I/we attended, left us more frustrated than the last. Three out of six students from our class dropped out. That's a 50% rate!!!! They left midpoint (they were smarter than me and did not further waste their time) while two new students; who failed the final exam 3 times, joined us 4 weeks into the class as it's required. Dennis's passing rate is not great and you will struggle. He really should not be teaching. A class short of taking my final, feeling unsure, I decided to throw in the towel and bite the bullet by enrolling in another school for guidance. My new school, "teaches by example," answers our questions in real time, and has a 95% passing rate. My instructor Art doesn't waste time "reading from the book" knowing well enough, this is something we can all do on our own. He covered more in depth material, info, and Q&A with interactive discussions on the first 2 classes than in the 9 previous weeks of class with Dennis. I feel bad leaving this review because Dennis is a very nice man, but it may save someone $600 and keep them from enrolling in something that might not work for them. Don't be fooled. Anyone can teach RE but not everyone is an "instructor." Do your own research. There is much you'll need to know and learn and I am sure the school has other teachers available. For myself, this experience left me in the dark, frustrated and questioning my own ability to learn. I finally "understand" the material, real estate law and it's terminology, but it came at a very high cost for me, $1200!!! DO NOT waste your money.

However, the class I took at the Orland Park location on 2/7/24 at 6pm was my best class experience. I don't recall the instructor's name but her enthusiasm about CPR was top notch. She was professional and thorough and encouraged the participants who were having difficulty. I appreciate that she was respectful of our time. I would recommend this company and instructor!!

Enrolled our child over the summer of 2024. Fast track classes since course was offered over 4…read moreweeks as opposed to the semester long period typically of high school- which we thought would be better. Well, read on. Child states classes were incredibly boring (instructor was lazy and rolled around in his chair, while teaching) and videos were "out of touch". It did not captivate my child's attention nor did it pique any interest in learning. We enrolled our child in this class for drivers education. He turned 16 in late spring. Classroom is sufficient but the students state "an old fat man that never stands up but rolls around on his office chair". Incredibly boring and monotone. Part of the class includes a "behind the wheel" driving with the instructor. Scheduling "behind the wheel" (BTW) instructor times was, to say the LEAST, one of the worst and most horrific experiences ever! EVER!! Instructions were very unclear on how to schedule - no phone calls allowed, only texts. This could be perceived as innovative however it was in fact obnoxious! Responses to texts were untimely (up to 10 hours later), during hours "outside of normal busier hours" and inconsistent, ie no response after several follow-ups). The scheduler was mean, rude, uncooperative, prejudiced and lacked any sense of decency. She refused to give out her name, so henceforth will be known as "Karen". Karen claimed that students needed to finish class work before being scheduled for BTW and, that they would need to practice driving before BTW scheduling occurred. WTF!! - I thought the instructors were to teach them with their specially equipped cars(brake on the instructors side)!!! That's why we send them to driving school - to learn how to drive with equipment that's not accessible to the public!!! We as parents do not have the proper automobiles that are equipped-the instructors should be taking this on as that is what we pay them for!! We as parents have the responsibility to hone our children's BTW experience after the basic concepts are taught! Seems this school is backwards and doesn't want to be held accountable for the outcome and wants the students that have driving experience! I do not recommend this school at all if you want to get your children licensed for the first time. It was not very expensive but I suppose, you get what you pay for. Never, ever have I encountered such terrible customer service from a person; I do not understand how this business still exists!! Whether it's "Ken's Driving School" or "1st Breese" (Breeze?) -- stay far away.

When we first started swim lessons, my kiddo was terrified of the water. I honestly wasn't sure how it would go. But thanks to the incredibly patient, kind, and skilled instructors, not only is my child no longer scared--they are absolutely thriving. What makes this place truly special is the family atmosphere. Everyone knows my kiddo by name, cheers them on, and makes them feel like they belong. It's not just swim lessons--it's a community that genuinely cares. We've gone from tears at the pool's edge to being asked daily if it's "swimming day" yet. I can't thank this team enough for helping my child grow in confidence and fall in love with swimming!

Bear Paddle has small group classes for kids based on their proficiency and age. Lessons are fun…read moreand non competitive. Instructors, called coaches, provide instruction and correction when needed to meet specific goals for each class level. When goals are met, the kids get patches and graduate to the next level. Bear Paddle also offers special clinics and camps during breaks from school. Pool is filled with warm salt water. Locker room has stalls for changing and showers are available. The Kid Wash also allows kids to rinse off before and after class in a fun way. There's an adjacent room with tables, and chairs, snack machines (I don't think they are working at this time), and kids' movies. Kids seem to like it.

We had a wonderful tour by Paige. I went back the next day for an aqua fitness class. It was great. Paige is very good at teaching this class. We did exercises that I didn't even know you could do with pool noodles. The facility is nice and clean while locker rooms were great. We checked out the events that they had coming up one being a sound bath the other float flex which they show movies and you can float on a float in the pool fun things to do with your family. It's a great perk for the Joliet area. If you get a chance, take a tour try out of class. The staff is very helpful on accommodating.
