Brought my vehicle to Bachman Auto for a check engine light related to a camshaft sensor. They replaced the part, but then claimed a new oil pressure issue had appeared -- one that never existed before. They pushed hard to sell me an oil pump replacement, which felt more like a sales tactic than a genuine diagnosis. I sought a second opinion. That shop found metal shavings in the oil pan, indicating rod bearing damage -- a serious mechanical issue completely unrelated to an oil pump. When I raised this with Bachman, they claimed there was little to no metal present when they had my car. The odometer shows a 30-mile difference between the two shops, accounting for test drives before and after Bachman's repair. I contacted Hyundai corporate, who reached out to Bachman on my behalf. Bachman was unresponsive and dismissive. Their service manager, Ryan, could not explain how replacing an oil pump would address metal contamination in the engine -- because it wouldn't. When I reiterated this concern, I was told "I'm not going to do this song and dance with you", I was told they would call me back with a quote for the oil pump swap and I have not heard back since then. It has been at least 2 weeks since then. They have no interest in making this right or taking accountability for impacting my life severely. I made two reasonable offers: (1) pay any other Hyundai dealer the diagnostic fee if Bachman covered the engine replacement, and (2) cover costs beyond the original repair as long as work was done at cost with no markup. Bachman refused both, offering only to replace the oil pump at cost -- a fix that does nothing to address the actual damage. The timeline, the mileage, and the mechanical evidence all point to damage that occurred while my vehicle was in Bachman's care. Their refusal to take any accountability, combined with aggressive upselling and dismissive responses, reflects a serious failure in customer service and professional responsibility. Charged me $4000 to do major repairs and it broke down completely 2 months later stating I needed a $3000 repair to the cam shaft. They should have addressed it the first time around. I can handle shoddy work but they're complete rudeness and disregard is not supportable. read more

Where do I begin... When you come in for a oil change service you are not actually coming in for an oil change. You are coming in to "have an appointment with the service representative." The representative then adds your car to the que and 2 days later your car is done.... with AN OIL CHANGE. Speaking of oil changes... My Santa Cruz is under warranty and such and I brought it in for an oil change. I drove it a day or so and then went out of town for a trip. Long story short, the car was leaking oil. I drove back to the dealership on a Friday, they told me they could not look at it until Tuesday. I went to a Valvoline and found out that the oil plug could be hand turned it was so loose. Additionally the skid plates were missing. Love my Santa Cuz, but I never will be back. Armature hour all day long. read more

We arrived at 9:10 am, they "opened" at 9:00 am. NOBODY was around, not in sales or service. When a salesman finally showed up eating a sandwich for breakfast, I asked about a Hyundai 2024 model they had posted on their website. He told me they sold it the day before, which I can believe, so I inquired about any other 2024 models. He did have a couple left and told me IF I went with the lower finance rate I would lose all rebates. Which is a flat out lie, I would lose the Hyundai HMF rebate but not the "Bachman" rebate. So, they want to sell 2024 models at full price OR give you a rebate and charge you outrageous interest. I have bought 30+ cars in my life, my sister works for one of the largest dealers in Ohio, so I know all the tricks, stay away from these clowns. read more

The service department at Bachman will not stand behind their repairs. I took my Hyundai Sonata there because I had positive experiences in the past and wanted to ensure we knew what was wrong with the car. They first said it was the valve covers and I got my brakes replaced too. The "check engine" light came back on after I got the car back, reading a P0011 code. I took it back to Bachman and they claimed it was an "old code" and "my engine oil looked fine." Yet they were able to notice that I needed a new serpentine belt and thermostat, both problems that Ken Towery had already told me about and should have been noticed at the first appointment. Now out $3000 and 2.5 weeks of not having my car, I made the stupid decision to bring the car back to Bachman when the "check engine" light came back on less than 24 hours after having the car back. Even though Vick said it was Option A OR Option B to fix the car, they're charging me $413. Ryan, the manager, tried to make the point that a light switch may come on or off depending on the situation. I pointed out that if I hired an electrician to fix that light switch, I would assume he'd stand by his repairs if the switch continued not to work. I am not returning to Bachman and I will be advising all of my friends with Hyundais to stay away and go to Oxmoor instead. I've been there a few times for service and then I bought my new car through them very recently. Each time I felt valued as a customer. The only complaint with the service department is I always schedule things online and they act like they don't like the way it lets people schedule at certain times, but they've never turned me away. I never felt like they pushed me into anything I didn't need. The car salesman was very thorough, but I also told him I was in a hurry and already wanted what I chose online and didn't want to test drive so he helped get me out quickly so I could make it to my hair appointment. I think the other car salesmen were a bit rude to him, but I won't hold that against the company. They were probably just mad that he ended up with such an easy sale. The finance guy did tell me all the info and asked me to purchase an additional warranty, but when I said no he didn't keep hounding me. It was dropped and we finished up. I now own two Hyundais and will continue using them for their services. read more

The finance department like to take advantage of people because the truck I bought was supposed to have been 32,000 and I had 3777.00 down. On the last line with I had gap insurance $463, key insurance $416 which said I did not want 4 times. Still was put on but the sales price of truck went from 32,00 to 38,000 on last line. The screw people don't buy any vehicle from any Bachman they are horrible people and company. read more

So normally, I hate car buying. I've had so many bad experiences from being chased off the lot by an aggressive salesperson to telling off an aggressive sales person. But my experience with Steven Clubb at Bachman Hyundai elevated car buying to a whole new level. As we all know the car buying market is extremely competitive and many dealerships are adding fees just because they can - Jeff Wyler wants $5000 over sticker for any new car not even on the lot yet. I started by calling Steven Clubb in May and telling him what I was looking for - he suggested a Hyundai Elantra and sent me over a copy of the sticker. With $500 down he held it for me and it arrived yesterday. I stopped by today and just over one hour, I was out the door with my new car and a smile on my face. The price was exactly what he quoted me - sticker, plus $249 fees, plus tax - minus a $500 dealer rebate. I actually ended up paying less than quoted. Steven Clubb kept me up to date on shipping and showed me all the features of my new car. I'm really excited to have a new car without paying dealer premiums or extra shipping fees and I will get 54 mpg!!! I called to have an appointment scheduled for my hyundai azera to get serviced for an extended warranty coverage. The guy on the phone kept calling it a recall and couldn't understand that it wasn't a recall. After we finally got past the point, then it was onto why I wasn't having my vw bug serviced and it didn't have a recall, I had to explain that wasn't my car that again, I had a Hyundai Azera, this seemed to have frustrated him. Once he realized I wasn't servicing my VW bug, the car that showed up under my phone number he said "great, let's set an appointment for Monday." I was checking my schedule for my availability but, he explained that this was an appointment to schedule an appointment to just look at my car. So, I had to schedule an appointment for an appointment and he wasn't even sure he had the part to fix it. He then transferred me to parts and I had to redo the whole process. This time I had to set the initial two appointment, then set an appointment to order the part, then set another appointment to have it installed. I work 12 hour night shifts and this dealer is the closest to my house (45 minutes away). She recommended a night drop but, if I did that the dealership would be closed, everyone at my house would be asleep, no shuttle service available, and I would have to get a taxi or Uber home or to work almost an hour away. So staying up all day for these appointments are worthless. I have the documentation, my car is showing the signs for the "recall", and it's a $20 part. So, I don't understand why, if by giving them my VIN they can't just order the necessary part (it's a clock spring by the way) and set an appointment to install it? By the end I even offered to pay for the part if they would just install it so it would be under warranty, apparently that wasn't an option as it was completely ignored. So, now I guess I'll just order the part and install it myself and pray my airbags don't deploy in the process. read more

From the moment I arrived at Bachman Hyundai I had a bad experience. The young girl working the service desk on the Hyundai side was so vague in her instructions as to what I needed to do, where to go and what was expected that I was left standing there in the garage by my vehicle simply clueless. I finally just sat in my car and waited and that's when I noticed a door in the corner that said customer waiting area (or something to that effect.) They finally checked in with me and told me it would be a couple of hours to check/repair my a/c so they got me a loner car and sent me on my way. My appointment had been at 1:30 and by 4:30 I still had heard nothing. I started calling and calling, sometimes getting a recording saying the line was busy and other times getting the answering recording. I continued to call and leave messages until closing time which was 8pm, and still nothing from them back! The next morning I began calling again at around 9am. I finally heard back from Bachman Hyundai at 1:17pm this afternoon. When I expressed my annoyance at not getting any communication back to me he simply said "I didn't have anything to tell you" and to come pick up my vehicle that they didn't find anything wrong with my a/c. Called twice to inquire about getting new keys/fob re-coded. Both times was directed to a two different employee's voicemail. Neither of them could be bothered to call me back. I took my Elantra into have a brush/scratch plate replaced. After it's installation the service advisor told me that they were missing a couple of the clips needed to completely secure the plate, but that it would be fine to drive without them u til they came in. He went ahead and charged me for the clips so that once they come in I can drive in get them put on and go. It's been 3 weeks and 4 voicemails later with no word on the status of these clips I've prepaid for! The parts department doesn't even show a record that anything was even requested. I'm a very loyal customer if tested right, before moving to this area I received all my services and even bought 3 cars through my last Hyundai dealer. I was hoping to buy the a new Kona and Elantra here but if this is how they treat their service customers then I'll gladly drive over the bridge to Louisville and checkout the other Hyundai dealers. *Update* - I finally got ahold of Monty in the service department, he's the service manger and new to the position, and he did a great job getting my problem resolved and very quickly. He and Mark help change the rating from a 1 to a 3 and hope to work with them again in the future. I do believe in second chance and these two have made it worth me trying again. read more

Less than one star if possible! Don't trust these guys! I planned on purchasing an Elantra Limited that was in transit. I was told on several occasions over two days that it was available by two different people. I went to the dealership early in the morning and made a deal for the car putting $1,000 down. We shook hands over the deal and I went home. Four hours later they called and said that the car had been sold to someone else and that my deposit would be refunded. I imagine the sales manager had a friend or relative that wanted the car instead of me, although they denied it. Anyhow , DONT TRUST THEM. They don't follow through on deals. read more

I Made an appointment online in advance and had to wait 4 hours in the waiting room only to leave paying for a diagnostic- which i told them was the issue to begin with- and being told they were unable to fulfill the 3 hour service my car needed until the following day. There were no updates on the status of my vehicle or service throughout my entire four hour wait, despite my numerous asks. I watched serval customers come in after me and leave before me. read more
