The business voice mail message states "Colorado's Premier Pool and Hot Tub Service and Repair Company" which is not true! I have a hot tub that needed a pump and leak repair. I contacted James through Home Advisor and he promptly came out to check out the tub. He replaced the pump and upon filling the tub found a leak in the system, but said he does not fix leaks ("Premier Service and Repair"?!). He said he had a contact that could promptly respond to the leak problem, but 3 weeks and several phone calls later he has not followed up. If I can't get the leak fixed I would like my money back for the pump repair (minus service call cost) since the hot tub is not functional now - but James is now dodging my calls. I should have read the reviews prior to using this guy. Started off great and then went into a downward spiral. I started off the summer calling around for a person to install a new pool heater and pool filter. James jumped at the chance, at first there were a few delays in getting the pool heater and filter, but he seemed to be honest and getting things done. I had to help him with the electrical install portion as he didn't seem to know the electrical aspect of wiring the pump and heater. We got the heater and filter installed and then we wanted to get the summer started and asked him about opening the pool. He had a special to open and close the pool for $400, which turned into him only opening the pool, unsuccessfully, it was a wreck and we had a pool party scheduled. He had 3 weeks notice about our pool party and still up until 45 mins before people are showing up the pool was lime green and full of debris. very disappointing. My wife said we should fire the guy at that point and I thought we should give him another chance. Big mistake and we did. The pool finally got cleared up weeks later at $100/week. I stopped that after 4 weeks as most places charge much less and I can do the work of upkeep my self. He provided us with a 3 year warranty on the heater and the filter he installed. He made promises to pick up and dispose of the old heater and the old filter, but that was months ago and they are still in our backyard. Well we usually have a pool party each month in the summer, the first one was a disaster with him, the second one went well and our last one was a disaster. The last one we usually have in August, but since the heater has been acting up we moved it to September, well James cuts of all communication. the last thing I heard from him was, 'I was on my way over, but now I am fixing the breaks under my new utility truck that I bought, I will be right over after.' This was on 8/15, and we have not heard from him or seen him since. I have texted and called, left numerous voicemails... Nothing and we still have a broken heater... I have started to reach out to other companies as this guy obviously is a joke. I first thought he was overbooked, now I realize he just doesn't keep his commitments and is highly unreliable. In March, I contacted Back Country Pool and Spa to fix my hot tub jets. James responded right away. He determined that the two pump motors needed to be replaced. A couple weeks went by before I heard from him again. He was out of town, then lost his cell phone, and then accidentally sent the motors to the wrong warehouse. Okay, everyone makes mistakes. Several days later, I contacted him again to see if he was going to come install them. He told me he was headed out, had to run an errand, and would then be over. Five hours later, he texted that he was on his way and running late. He arrived two hours later. The pumps were installed and worked great, but then began leaking several days later. It took four days to get a response, but James did return to fix the leak. An additional part had to be purchased. Four months later, the other connection is spraying water. James returned my call right away and made an appointment to come by. When it was 45 minutes past the appointed time, I called him to see if he was coming. He said he had an emergency with another job and wouldn't be able to get there for another hour and a half. Since we had plans and had to leave, he said that he could come over in the evening. He never called or showed up. I called him two days later, and he has not responded. I am now going to hire someone else to fix his work. James is unreliable, doesn't keep appointments, and doesn't stand behind his work. read more
