The pistol range master was more relaxed, and he did become friendlier toward the end. Inside the shop, most of the staff were not much better--although one gentleman and one lady were pleasant. LADIES BEWARD: This range is not for women, or at least that is the way they made me feel. The range is not feel very welcoming. It's a shame, because there aren't many outdoor ranges in the area. I always believed a range should be a place to learn, practice, and feel comfortable, but that wasn't the case here. I was embarrassed because I was the one who recommended it to my group.

Overpriced, shoddy work at best -- Check prices elsewhere before buying here!!…read more I had a terrible experience at Elliott Gun Co. and won't be returning. I was sold a set of sights for $150, only to find out later they retail for $90. I was told installation would be free, but instead of using a proper sight pusher, Elliott used a hammer and punch, leaving visible scratches on the sights. When he handed the gun back, I immediately noticed the front sight looked crooked. Elliott insisted they were "dead straight" and told me that if I thought they were off, I should go to the range and bring him a grouping. When I asked how he could claim they were centered without using the right tools, he said his "eyes are dialed in" from years of experience. I took the firearm to another gunsmith for a second opinion -- and he confirmed right away that the front sight was crooked and the rear sight wasn't centered either. Between the markup, the poor installation, the scratches, and the dismissive attitude when I raised concerns, this was a complete waste of time and money. I strongly recommend going elsewhere for sight work or anything requiring precision.
