OMG! One of best pumpkin patches ever! They have everything they have giant gift shop plus lots of food and snacks and drinks for all ages and tons of activities for all ages and lots so super cute farm animals you can pet and feed them and it is absolutely so beautiful breathtaking view! Large pumpkin patch you get any size pumpkins or they have an area with tent you can extra pumpkins in boxes all sizes shapes and colors and you buy ticket online or buy your tickets when you get there and the service is super awesome the people are so friendly happy and caring helpful and so kind and super helpful and they have super fun shop food and fun goodies it is really adorable everything is very organized clean and always sanitary and everything hers restocked always. Plus everything they are sale is home made fresh from the farm and the ground I appreciate the farmers so much for working 24/7 and 7 days a week making sure we have fresh food products! The farmers deserve have an day decided to them and or month and unbelievable people and they deserve extra credit for everything and their needs to farm fairs to celebrate them and plus they have family and all generations learning the tricks of treads of the farm life and thank you so much for bringing us joy and happiness and with all ur incredible work support for the community! I had heard good things about their pumpkin patch last year and wanted to check it out this fall. The pumpkin patches I've visited in the past didn't have an entrance fee and $10 felt like a bit much to pay per person (especially for a 2 year old!) But now that we've been I think that the amount and variety of activities justifies the price. It's also nice that everything inside is included in the admission fee. My three kids had a blast exploring all of the grounds with various cute playground structures, swings, and slides. Several gardens, a tug of war station, a zip line, a small petting/feeding area, bunnies to watch, giant jenga and connect four - all generously spaced out with plenty of shaded areas and seating for parents and grandparents to relax. The corn maze is large but not TOO large. We took a photo of the maze map and were able to make our way out in 15 minutes (we took our stroller in without a problem). The tractor ride up to the pumpkin patch was a lot of fun for the kids and the views are very pretty. They did a great job of sanitizing in between rides as well. You can pick your pumpkins from the fields or from the store - both options are $0.50/lb). One thing I wouldn't recommend is their food. While very reasonably priced ($3.50 for hamburgers, $2 for hot dogs, and $2 for fries) the line was excessively long, the food took forever to arrive, and also wasn't very good. Not worth the price. Half of the activities we cannot do because there aren't workers present to supervise. The play areas could use a good cleaning. The general store doesn't really have anything stocked except a couple of second hand Halloween costumes. The carousel isn't running. Back Home on the Farm is a great place to take the kiddos! We have truly enjoyed our time visiting this establishment year after year. We look forward to visiting each fall for the tractor rides to the pumpkins, pig races, visiting the animals and more! Great pumpkin patch for adults and kids. There was alot to do and it was well worth the admission of $10 for each adult. The location was pretty far off the main road and it smelled horrible. I have now been to this "farm," twice. It is not a farm. Nor is it a pumpkin patch. It is a novelty for tourism and nothing more. They have a really neat carousel. It is very old and some old toys/memorabilia. They have areas for kids to play. The main issue is the stuff geared for kids is average at best. This isn't a pumpkin patch. They get pumpkins like a grocery store would and then scatter them in corn fields and call that a pumpkin patch....ummm no... Today was my second trip with my daughter. It was a school trip. From the moment I arrived the person who greeted me was rude and unfriendly. She had an irritated and annoyed expression and her tone when speaking to me was unfriendly. I told her when she asked who I was with, that I was with my daughters preschool and the name....she said "well they are over there and you're late. Ummm really!? Since when do I have to be on time for a get together for a kids preschool. Her behavior got worse. When we were being told where to go and what was going to happen next she was almost like a drill Sargent. Before we could ride the carousel she admonished the adults ahead of time that they can take photos but if we use our phones to call people she will ask us to leave and rejoin when we want to spend time with our children as this is what we are here to do. I'm sorry lady but a lot of us work. We take time away from our jobs to spend time with our children and if say my boss was to call me I'd take the call. Mind you not a single person had used their phone the entire time up until that point anyway. Her behavior was unnecessary. This is a service. She is providing said service as she is in the service industry. Then onto pumpkins. Instead of being brought to the one at the top of the hill where the medium sized pumpkins were. We were instead dropped at the ones that were really small. Sure fine ok my kiddo is small and she cannot carry anything heavy and neither really can I but that isn't the point. The point is to get a pumpkin not a fall sized decoration time gourd or pumpkin. Then the kicker of all....I had to use the restroom so I attempted to get into their main area/eating/gift shop and was told that they won't be opening that until noon and I could use the, and I am quoting here:"very full porta potty that was at the entrance or go down to the bottom of the hill and use the porta potty there! " seriously. What place is "open" and doesn't allow people to use their actual bathrooms? I ended up holding it as I cannot hold my daughter who is 2.5 and into everything in a porta potty and also be able to go to the bathroom. Gross! I won't be back, EVER again. It isn't a pumpkin patch, it is a corn field with pumpkins thrown around. It isn't a farm as I didn't see anyone working. They do pig races. It was awful. I do not recommend it to anyone. I gave it 2 stars because of the carousel. Otherwise it would have been 1 Star. My daughter had fun....she is 2.5....she also likes to play with popsicle sticks so....she isn't exactly the best bench mark for a good time. read more

We had an amazing day of making memories at the Fall Tea hosted by Back Home on the Farm. There is so much to do! We loved the flower maze, cow carts, believe it or not museum, slide, and so much more! We will certainly be back. The tea was very child friendly! read more

By far the best pumpkin patch, corn maze, and fall destination in Harrisonburg. They have grown so much since we started going here 7 years ago while I was at JMU. Lots of activities for little ones like a cow buggy, hay rides, face painting, and pumpkin picking. Huge corn maze. Large greenhouse that sells mums. Also great food at the little country store with home grown canned food and popcorn. read more
