I was walking home from the bus station one day and saw this place. I figured, why not call? What's to lose? They immediately were so kind, took my insurance, helped me. My PT, Dahne, is absolutely incredible. She has helped me go from barely being able to walk, to being able to climb Katahdin and run seven miles. She has listened to my goals and helped me achieve them- and it's hard work, but she pushes me and teaches me about how strong our bodies can be. I have never met another person that has inspired me so much in my fitness journey. I am so, so grateful for her. I'm still healing- MCL still gets spicy- and I'm so glad I have Dahne to help me. Being a chubby girl with an injury is embarrassing. But I never feel judged here. I cannot recommend enough.

He is thoughtful, careful and answered all my pesky questions. His advice when I went back to the gym was very useful and kept me from hurting myself. He has a great sense of humor and is quite the multi-tasker. It's a no frills location, but all the equipment is in excellent shape, so who cares. He and the other PTs are meticulous about cleaning their equipment and everybody wears their masks. I was (almost) sorry to be done.

I only…read morerecently even heard of pelvic floor PT and had lots of questions about what it is, who it's for, and what the background of the PT practicing it would be. But, after years of multiple OB/GYNs not taking my concerns around pain seriously ("It's all in your head, just have an extra glass of wine, haha", and "use more lube" being the most common responses from well-intentioned but problematically uninformed docs), I was willing to try anything to address pain issues. Allison has a beautiful and well organized website where it was easy to book my first appointment. I signed up for the intro package which included the first assessment, 2 follow-up appointments, and a phone consultation all at heavily reduced prices and I'm glad I chose this option. Her office is a lovely, comfortable space and I appreciated the initial thorough discussion of my background, and then her in-depth explanation of pelvic floor PT, how she works, and what to expect. She has this great 3D model of the various layers of muscle and tissue that make up the pelvic floor which was really helpful to visualize. Like budgeting and taxes, this seems like basic knowledge that would have been helpful to have learned back in grade school, am I right? For the physical part of the assessment she could not have made me feel more comfortable and explained each step before doing anything. She was able to pinpoint the location and movements involved in my pain right away, which was a huge relief because 1) it was validating to finally have a medical professional acknowledge that the pain was real, and 2) now that I understood the where and why of the pain I could FINALLY address it! She gave me a ton of exercises (some were similar to adapted yoga-like stretches that target my problem areas, others were breath-based, and others were physical related to stretching extra-tight muscles), tools, and resources. I left feeling so empowered. She helpfully sends an email with a personalized page of all the of these resources and explanations/reminders of how to use each. Results? After actually following up with my homework and resources: no. more. pain. Life changed.

Because of her I was able to make the most out of my vacation to Okinawa, and to do a 2 mile hike through the jungle, use a rope to climb up a 30 foot rock and dirt wall, and enjoy an incredible waterfall, as well as take s 200 step stone staircase down to Maeda Point to snorkel. Later I used them again when I strained/tire my rotator cuff. By doing the exercises and seeing them 1-2 times a week for a few months, my pain is gone and I full function of my arm. Becky and Steve worked great as a team. I recommend them highly!

And MMC doesn't have an outpatient OT! I specifically come here to this location for their aweaome OT (and sometimes PT, depending on need). I've been VERY happy here over the years; it's clean, quiet, prompt and I feel valued here!
