Excellent popcorn!! A must try! The two ladies who run the place are kind and generous. They let us try any flavors we wanted. There are a lot of flavors to choose from. You can also mix flavors! Some of my favorites include caramel, dill pickle, cheesy ranch, and s'mores. They also offer a wide assortment of candy, taffy, and freeze dried foods. I love popcorn and I'm so glad I found this place. They have the best popcorn and it's always fresh. Their are so many flavors to choose from. I've tried several and haven't been disappointed. Some of which I wouldn't even think of as popcorn. Ever since I discovered Back In Time Popcorn my husband and I have probably gained 10 pounds. They do have more than popcorn. The store is filled with candy, which I love also. So needless to say I've started working out again to enjoy all the goodies they have. The owners are very nice, friendly and let you try as many flavors as you'd like. They offer shipping too. I just shipped my daughter some for her birthday. Finally had a chance to try some popcorn from here after having this place in my bookmark list for a while. I got the Dallas Style as it sounded unique. I'm from Chicago, born & raised, so I've had Chicago Style from the likes of Garrett's and other famous popcorn spots throughout the city so I wanted something a little different. First take, I'm not all that impressed. Not necessarily because of a mix imbalance but because of the lack of flavor. The Dallas Style is buttered, cheddar & caramel. The only difference is in the addition of buttered popcorn to the mix. However the cheddar and caramel (and even the buttered to be honest) was very lackluster in terms of Bold flavor. Being from Chicago, I'm used to popcorn being flavored so well that as you're eating (with bare hands), your hands become covered in the flavor of the popcorn, like Cheetos, to the point where you can lick your fingers afterwards and still taste great flavor. I ate half my bag of popcorn and my hands were CLEAN. The flavor never popped in my mouth. Just wasn't seasoned well enough to me. Honestly, I could've gotten better out of a grocery store. Maybe it was just an off day. Perhaps I'll try them again sometime in the future. read more

I wasn't expecting the large variety of popcorn to choose from but was pleasantly surprised. This place also has candy, but I would not recommend the chocolate covered bacon. Sounds delicious...that's what I thought, but tastes like oil stick with chocolate. (No fault to the shop though). A MUST try if your a huge pickle fan like myself.... Dill Pickle Popcorn!!! Yep you heard me correctly. Dill Pickle Popcorn is so good, I thought I ate a pickle. I also got Salt & Vinegar, and White Cheddar! My family moved to Conroe 7 years ago and would get popcorn from here every year. The first year we went we got the christmas tin. They told us every time we bring it back they would honor the refill price from the year we bought the tin. We clarified and they wrote the price for a basic flavor refill on the lid and said this price was locked in so long as we have the tin with the lid. Every year they had honored it without issues. Today I went in to do like I always do to get it for Christmas and they refused. I tried to explain why I was confused and say how I had been told this price was locked in and she just kept saying, "the refill price is ____. We upped the price. Would you like a refill?" No apology or explanation of the fact they weren't going to honor the locked in price we were promised. The new price was about $10 more than our refill price. I'm very disappointed both in them not honoring the price they promised and the lack of any kind of apology. read more

This is my absolute FAVORITE place! I live 30 minutes away but will drive all the way over to get their popcorn. It is the best!!! After reading the reviews, my husband and I decided to make the 40 minute drive to Conroe for popcorn. Let me tell you... it was TOTALLY worth the drive. Their Chicago mix with extra cheddar popcorn is the next best thing to Garrett's Popcorn in Chicago. Rebecca is the young lady that helped us, and she was so nice. Rebecca made great suggestions based upon what we told her of preferences were, and gave us samples to try before we purchased. I saw this place on yelp, reviews looked good but I was skeptical, especially because it's 40+ miles from my house. Boy am I glad that I gave this place a try. The only reason I am giving 4 vs 5 stars is that my bag had quite a few hard kernels and while I'm aware that it's an unavoidable circumstance, the amount was enough to be a nuisance. Tried a place here in town but did not compare to Back in Time. Great customer service too! I recently ordered some popcorn online and because of UPS it didn't show up till 5 days later.
