Love everyone in this office!! They treat you like you're family and best of all, Dr. McHaffey is a lifesaver!! He fixed 4 herniated discs in my neck without meds!! Dr is very knowledgeable and doesn't hurt your neck or back when adjusting you. I wouldn't trust anyone else in west Texas with my neck or back!! read more

At my last visit I submitted my sample, was called back to see the doctor and was given my refills and a referral for therapy. Set up an appointment for the next month and went home. Three weeks later the clinic calls me & says I tested positive for another medication that they didn't prescribe me & that I can't see that doctor anymore. I told them that's impossible because I only take what they prescribed me. They wouldn't listen to me or believe me. So now I'm without help, without medication all because someone didn't do their job right. There's no possible way I had anything else in my urine. I wish I could get them to retest me, do a hair follicle, anything to prove I'm correct and they are wrong.

It already took 45 minutes just for the technician to see me, and I thought the optometrist would surely see me soon after so I continued waiting. I should have left. I finally left 2 1/2 hours later. They don't respect your time. When the doctor finally met me, he insulted my glasses. He also didn't ask my goals for the appointment. Multiple times I had to correct him that I was not interested in glasses, I wanted contacts. I also received an an incorrect prescription. The prescription gave me a headache, which I told them about. They told me to try it out and it might have just been because I waited long. I still have a headache after multiple attempts of trying the new prescription. They also made numerous clerical mistakes and called me multiple times when I said I would be busy. They called me multiple times to confirm. I returned their call a few hours later, but they continued to call because they made a mistake copying my insurance down which I confirmed with them a week prior. I noticed several other mistakes they copied wrong. I'm not sure if they are even trying. I would go somewhere else.

OTOH, when I came to him because I woke up with terribly blurred vision he sent me to an Eye Clinic for a more in-depth examination, and when they could not find the cause he sent me to a retinolologist who found that I had suffered a stroke in my eye. Visiting the Mehaffey Chiropractic years ago for treatment after an accident was relieving and the staff very friendly. Now known as the Back Pain Institute, I returned for another go haha and since then everyone then and now is awesome. The employees there are easy going. They make it comfortable to get through your physical therapy quickly. I have two kids and dont always have a sitter to watch them, when i do take them they are so helpful and nice to my kids. They do what it takes to get me through my appointment, whether it be changing their channels to cartoons or playing with them. Lets not forget Dr. Mehaffey haha He's fun, friendly, and very smart, I personally like hearing about everyday situations going on through the media and learning new things he's learned it makes the visits to an appt. lets say "not boring" haha. You can always ask what you need answered and he will fill you in with what you need to know. So yes i would recommend going here. You wont be disappointed. read more

It's the Best in Odessa TX!! I had to go due to an accident I had in June. A driver ran a stop sign and hit me on my driver-side door. I couldn't move or focus for months. Now I can move easily. I don't know how long it would have taken me on my own to be able to stand right, lean over, just move around if it wasn't for Dr Mahaffy. He's a great Dr. and has a great staff. One great thing was I got to talk to him at every visit for whatever was bothering me. Him and his staff actually care about you getting better.Thanks to Dr. Mahaffy. I came to Dr McHaffey with neck, low back and leg pain due to being in an accident. I never knew that going to a chiropractor was like a spa! The heated waterbed, neck ultrasound that I had done did wonders. Dr McHaffney is very knowledgeable and I not only just enjoyed the therapy that I had done there, I also looked forward to hearing what he had to say every time I went, which was also therapeutic for my mind.
