Since it wouldn't let me get past that page because I didn't fill the insurance part in, I decided to go early for my appointment on Monday morning and fill it out then. When I got there, early, and told them about being unable to fill in the form because it wouldn't let me past the insurance page, the receptionist told me that I wouldn't be able to be seen today because the form was lengthly. I explained the above to her and that I got the form on a Saturday and they were closed so I couldn't call to get my questions answered. She shrugged her shoulders and said again, the form was long and I wouldn't be able to been seen. She said I should have just put N/A in the insurance part. How was I to know that? There were no directions saying that. I explained it has taken me 5 months to get the VA to authorize the visit. She shrugged again. Could I come in tomorrow. I said no. I do have a life. And she shrugged again. I picked up my stuff and left. Don't you think I could have filled out what I could get done before seeing the doc and then finish it after? You can also bet no matter how long the form was, I could have finished it before my wait was over since there were 2 other people waiting before me.

I didn't know where to start but I trusted YELP reviews to FHS Chiro. My first visit with Dr. J was great, he didn't try to make me do x-rays and try to see me 3-5 times a week, sell me supplements, homeopathic oils, etc etc. He accessed me and based off his knowledge, experience, and education he was able to see what was going on with me and get a plan in place. I was seeing him every other week, down to every 3rd week. I never felt that he was taking advantage of my claim, like A LOT of chiropractors do. My appointment was never an in and out 10 minutes. It was always a genuine how are you, let's talk, let's go over movements, things I can do day to day to improve myself and make changes to have lasting effects. He is not your stereotypical chiropractor, I would describe his techniques as modern: chiropractor/physical therapist/massage therapist in one. Functional health at its best. Since then, we have been sent to numerous specialists to try to figure out the best course of treatment to get the fluid out. The specialists said that the fluid would clear on its own, but visit after visit the fluid hadn't cleared and there was still no treatment plan other than to just "wait it out". That's when Dr. Asad suggested chiropractic treatment for my baby. He explained how if his body wasn't properly aligned, the fluid was essentially stuck with no where to go. After his first adjustment, not only was his range of motion significantly better but he also started sleeping longer stretches. We continued with the chiropractic treatment and when we went back for a fluid check, it's finally clearing! I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Gutierrez. Not only is he a very thorough diagnostician, but he is gentle and effective. I like the use of the table that lowers the patient from a vertical to a horizontal position and then back up again. This way, if you are in pain, there is no struggle to get into position for treatment. And, as an added bonus, you don't undo treatment that has just been done, by straining to get up from the table. The staff is just as good at what she does as he is at being a chiropractor. Concern, competence and compassion are the words at work here.
