Today was my second experience with both Jon Sales, for stretching, and Daniel for massage at Back to Normal Bodywork. I'm old and have sort of wrecked my lumbar back: It was really painful. I started with Jon, who was patient and gentle and took me through several stretches I would have told you I couldn't do. Then Daniel spent an hour working on my back. At the end of the combined 90 minutes I was able to get off the massage table under my own power and had next-to-no pain. I'm going back for stretches once a week and massage once a month. Thank you Jenna you're a healer!! I went there yesterday with knee pain and also numbing in the right thumb and pointer finger do to narrowing in my spine. I usually get injections for it but I thought I would try this and the knee pain I've been wearing a brace. I am in my late 60s and my body is just banged up from a lot of jogging, athletic sports, etc., it was the best session I've ever had my knee today is not hurting slightly tender but I'm not in pain and it really improved. I am a middle aged female, and not an athlete at all, so I wasn't sure Daniel was the right fit for my chronic back and hip pain. Sitting for 10 hours at my job everyday has really done a number on me. I've tried chiropractors, massage, and physical therapy with much disappointment, so I was desperate! Daniel was recommended by a friend who knew I have been suffering for more than two months with serious neck, back, shoulder pain radiating down my right arm. I went in today because I had horrible sciatica on one side and I have tried massage, chiropractic at multiple places, alternative medicines and anything you can think of. I was so nervous and didn't know what to expect for my first session. Daniel was awesome, didn't make it awkward he was so friendly, welcoming, and respectful. An ad for this amazing shop came across my FB newsfeed last week and I answered the ad. Being a dental hygienist for over 25 years has left my back, neck and shoulders needing a lot of work. My daughter is a competitive gymnast and trains over 30 hours a week. Daniel has been a god-send in terms of keeping her healthy and injury-free. In October 2017, she made the 8-10 year old National Team with USA Gymnastics, and training for this milestone required her to upgrade many skills that typically take years for gymnasts to perfect in less than a year. Daniel worked with us with regular massage therapy sessions, stretches and exercises to keep her healthy in between her sessions, and thankfully she has been injury free! Recently, she had extreme pain in her upper shin and we couldn't figure out what was wrong.
