One doctor said I had nerve damage, and another doctor said I was having seizures. I went from one doctor to another who just put me on one drug after another. I spent my days in pain and drugged up and loopy. After much recommendation and insistence from friends who used him, I took myself to Dr Polley, who ordered a full battery of tests on me. I was really not excited about his aggressive regimen of coming in at least twice a week, with it slowly weaning down to once a week or once every other week in order to deal with my neck pain. It's hard and difficult to commit to a regimen like that when a pill might solve anything. I committed to his regimen and after 6 months, I was a new person. The pills went into the trash, and my neck felt better than ever. Being in pain is so frustrating, and finding answer to your medical problems is priceless! Dr Polley is an amazing doctor with a phenomenal bedside manner. He staffs his office with people who are just as caring as he is. Simply put, your health is important and means something to them. Along the years, I've seen orthopedic doctors where I did MRIs and other exams, but I never got any relief from them. When chatting about it with different coaches (tennis instructor, gym coach, crossfit coach, etc) and colleagues, almost 100% of the times I would hear that this was probably plantar fasciitis, so I used to do all the kinds of exercises related to this, but never got it resolved. In the past 2 months, this pain has been more recurrent and I finally decided to give it a shot with Dr. Ken Rogers. I am glad I did!! Dr. Ken was the only professional that really tried hard to understand where the pain was coming from. He asked thousands of questions that I felt were never asked before by other professionals, such as when it hurts, how it hurts, how do I usually squat, jump, exercise, etc. Combined that with his physical examination, he hit the nail in the head! He diagnosed that the pain is coming from the fact that my foot naturally rotates in a certain way when exercising, putting too much effort in one set of muscles of my calf, which is connected to my foot plant / arch causing the pain. As soon as I started doing certain exercises for my calf I felt a 500% improvement in the pain while exercising! Now that the culprit is identified, it seems obvious that this was the cause, but for sure I feel this way because Dr. Ken was able to explain and connect all the dots in a very simple way for me, which I will always be grateful! He asked How did I manage to rupture a bicep tendon like he said it's not like you're into sports like a baseball pitcher or weight lifter That's more likely when you would see that type of injury Rotator cuff's are common but he somehow he changed my mood maybe I felt a I was in the hands of another Awesome Dr. With a great sense of Humor can't explain but I was ok He said let's go and look and see these injuries as you can't go more than a certain amount of days or there's a chance the Dr. Cannot fix it So he scheduled for surgery ASAP. He explained to me that there was a little bit left and they put a button in and I had read up on that Drs, use buttons for a much stronger hold Drs. put that in for athletes or weightlifter's but he put it in me because I had very little tendon left. Can't say enough about him. I recovered very quickly. I am having issues with my elbow. I need to see him when I fell,if my elbow is in a certain position for more than 10 minutes I literally have to lift my arm I made a full recovery from his Surgery Now need him to tell me hopefully my Elbow is just a sprain I did hit the pavement hard But I will only go to Florida Orthopedic 's in Brandon on Lakewood Dr. I can only imagine the look on his face when he sees me walk in he has such a good personality he's so upbeat I've been treated by two incredible surgeons at Florida Orthopedics, and Brandon.
