He explained to me that there was a little bit left and they put a button in and I had read up on that Drs, use buttons for a much stronger hold Drs. put that in for athletes or weightlifter's but he put it in me because I had very little tendon left. Can't say enough about him. I recovered very quickly. I am having issues with my elbow. I need to see him when I fell,if my elbow is in a certain position for more than 10 minutes I literally have to lift my arm I made a full recovery from his Surgery Now need him to tell me hopefully my Elbow is just a sprain I did hit the pavement hard But I will only go to Florida Orthopedic 's in Brandon on Lakewood Dr. I can only imagine the look on his face when he sees me walk in he has such a good personality he's so upbeat I've been treated by two incredible surgeons at Florida Orthopedics, and Brandon. My first visit with Dr. Derr, she reviewed my condition and walked through how she was going to approach it. She was very knowledgeable and explained things in a manner that were easy to understand. Her approach was to massage the area to prepare for any necessary adjustments. She adjusted my pelvic area on both sides and suggested coming back until the area was corrected and free of pain. I had an annoying foot pain for more than 10 years, would always come and go, usually when…read moreexercising more heavy. Along the years, I've seen orthopedic doctors where I did MRIs and other exams, but I never got any relief from them. When chatting about it with different coaches (tennis instructor, gym coach, crossfit coach, etc) and colleagues, almost 100% of the times I would hear that this was probably plantar fasciitis, so I used to do all the kinds of exercises related to this, but never got it resolved. In the past 2 months, this pain has been more recurrent and I finally decided to give it a shot with Dr. Ken Rogers. I am glad I did!! Dr. Ken was the only professional that really tried hard to understand where the pain was coming from. He asked thousands of questions that I felt were never asked before by other professionals, such as when it hurts, how it hurts, how do I usually squat, jump, exercise, etc. Combined that with his physical examination, he hit the nail in the head! He diagnosed that the pain is coming from the fact that my foot naturally rotates in a certain way when exercising, putting too much effort in one set of muscles of my calf, which is connected to my foot plant / arch causing the pain. As soon as I started doing certain exercises for my calf I felt a 500% improvement in the pain while exercising! Now that the culprit is identified, it seems obvious that this was the cause, but for sure I feel this way because Dr. Ken was able to explain and connect all the dots in a very simple way for me, which I will always be grateful!
