I call there Brandon office today 7/1/24 and all i got was the number for the Dr. Administrative assistant with no voice mail. I am a nurse and FOI does not deserve a one STAR, but that the only way it would post this review

Both my husband and I have come here out of convenience to see an orthopedoc doctor for sports…read moreinjuries relating to running - the office is closest to our house and only one of a few Ortho docs in the area. ** We've had bad experiences every time we've come here ** 1) Each time we've both waited almost an hour and a half or more just to be seen - I understand waiting at the doctor's office, but going on lunch break or before or after work it's not feasible to get in at the time appointments are made 2) While waiting, we just hear the staff is right outside of our door chatting about. There's no one checking in on you, they bring you into a room, tell you to wait and you're in there..for a while. While you hear them outside just talking about their weekends and other nonsense. 3) The Doctors we've seen aren't geniune or friendly. They're very straight forward and want to see you repeatedly to eat up your insurance. Even when there's no need, they recommend PT at their partner office instead of working through self care. 4) The front staff is clueless about insurance benefits and I've seen them use a 'cheat sheet' for reference - they go back and forth asking others questions instead of knowing how to process payment 5) Surgery is always encouraged here. I've been for a cyst on my food where surgery was my 'only option' for relief, when I ended up having it go away on its own eventually and with self care. My husband had 1 surgery, no proper care or follow up afterwards, and ended up needing a second surgery to get him to running again. It took almost 2 years total. I am definitely going to another to orthopedic doc going forward. I'm currently marathon training and will need care ongoing - but want to find a trustworthy doctor. I'd would rather drive farther to see a better doctor.

Last year I started having back pain that was radiating down my thigh and was impacting my ability to move around. They recommended Dr Coulter try active release therapy (ART) on my lower back. I was at the point of getting surgery but decided to come here first to see if maybe getting adjustments/alignments could help me. Dr. Mark was my initial chiropractor and he was very caring, thoughtful, and informative about what he's doing, where he's adjusting, and the process of the what he thought was the best treatment. He recommended Dr. Thomas! Dr. Thomas is also a chiropractor however he specializes in muscle tissue breakdown - longer story even short, Dr. Thomas has relieved damn near all the pain and inflammation I had/felt in my legs and feet. I went from this being my last resort and going to surgery to visiting Dr. Thomas every so often or when I feel my legs starting to get tense on me. The pain that I had compared to where I'm at now is night and day. I went from having to always have shoes on even to walk around my house to being comfortable in sandals and flip flops for HOURS without ANY pains in the slightest. I'm very grateful to have found this practice and the amazing individuals who work here as well. The entire staff is very friendly, engaging, and they certainly make you feel like you're important.

Made an appointment with Dr Michael Miranda at FOI's facility on Lakewood in Brandon. We had met Dr Miranda at a knee replacement seminar he gave a while back. I knew he was thr Doctor I wanted to see. As it turns out it was nothing serious just a flare up. I was given some exercises and if it continued give him a call back. I have to say #1 Lakewood is a beautiful facility. Everyone was super nice and caring from check in to xray. Dr Miranda and his staff took good care of me, giving my knee a thorough exam and explaining my xrays. Interedting to see what looked like from the inside. As I said there nothing wrong and no prescriptions which is ok with me. I can't imagine seeing anyone else but Dr Miranda. I totally trust him and other doctors I have seen st FOI.
