They overcharged me $650 for Zoom whitening during $4k worth of extensive dental work. If you don't believe me, look at Ashley B.'s review and how thrilled she was with this office--that's me! I got locked out of my other Yelp account, so here is the real view of how this office works. Even though they helped me overcome my dental phobia, they refused to be honest with billing. I requested a superbill that I could submit to my medical insurance because they actually would have covered my anesthesia as "medically necessary." My medical insurance company confirmed this! However, I never received that superbill. I only found out they owed me $650 because, during my last cleaning, I asked what my co-pay was. The receptionist was shocked when she looked at her screen; it turns out I had a $650 credit for Zoom whitening I never received! The office manager told me I would have my refund by the end of the month. I never got it, and I still never got my superbill. There is a strict timeline for when you have to submit these bills to insurance for reimbursement, and thanks to their delays, I am now past that deadline. To top it off, Dr. Lam is no longer there--she was awesome. The new doctor is just as dishonest as the management. She sold me MI Paste (which I'm allergic to as it contains dairy). During my next cleaning, even my hygienist was confused as to why they had me buy a $25 tube of toothpaste I didn't even need! I told her I used Sensodyne and my sensitivity was fine; I didn't need a $25 bottle of toothpaste I can't even use. This office, which I thought was wonderful and referred MANY people to, practices dirty business. Best of all, they dropped out of my Delta Care network the second they got hit with the complaint I sent to the Dental Board and two other government agencies. That timing is too coincidental, don't you think? Well, hopefully, after this office reads my review--since they already know the heat is on them--I might "magically" get my refund and superbill in the mail. Wisdom Tooth Removal experience? 10/10…read more I'm a scairdy cat. I know...everyone gets nervous. But I'm next level ridiculous. The front office staff, dental assistants, and Dr. Andre Barakat, were all so sweet, and gentle. They have brand new equipment, and relaxing scenes playing on a TV. Dr. Andre patiently talked me through everything. His demeanor is very calming and he got the offending tooth out in about 30 minutes, with no pain. (He numbs your gums first, so you never even feel the Novocain shot.) The pre-procedure panic, was replaced with relief and gratitude for their patience and kindness, and I couldn't stop myself from asking the dental assistant if I could give her a hug. She said yes, but in addition to being a big baby, I'm also a spazz, and I tripped over a little trash can next to the chair. So between that, and the lingering high emotions from being scared, I don't know if I ever did hug her. LOL. (I would have run around the office hugging everyone, but I had embarrassed myself enough for one day, and promptly went home.) As soon as I got home, I took OTC pain meds, figuring I better get ahead of things before the Novocain wore off. I went to bed, woke up the next morning and didn't need any pain relievers at all. If you're scared, and putting off a dental procedure, just call their office and make an appointment. They will take great care of you!

They're friendly and super communicative, actively going out of their way to ensure my insurance takes care of the service. I'm new to NorCal so I was confused and worried about my insurance but they were so nice and took care of everything for me. They do accept Medi-Cal here!
