BEWARE: The front office & billing staff is passive aggressive and impatient (screenshots for reference). I was referred for a gum graft and paid $1.4k out of pocket on the day of surgery. A billing staff member who identified herself as Erin told me that my primary insurance (Delta) had overpaid and the insurance company typically refunds the credit to the patient. When I contacted my primary insurance, they told me this does not happen. I was then told by the same billing staff member that the office - not the insurance - would be issuing the refund, contradicting what I had previously been told. During this process, I received a voicemail from them instructing me to stop contacting my insurance and let the office "handle it" as that would be "in my best interest"?? When I asked for an invoice or itemized statement to understand the charges and credit on my account, I was told that invoices are not provided. And to top it off, I have to get 2/4 teeth revised (without IV anesthetic which the office will not cover) because half the gum graft was unsuccessful. read more

My disabled husband has been visiting this office, and we have encountered difficulties with the front office staff, who have been less than courteous. He missed two appointments this year due to health and medication he is on, and upon realizing this, he proactively called to apologize and even offered to pay for the missed sessions. The staff assured him it was fine and expressed understanding and rebooked him to come in today at 9:30am. Today, when he arrived for his scheduled appointment, he was informed that it had been canceled, and that a message had been left for him. We did not receive any messages or missed calls from them. He told the receptionist that and her reply was "OH" that's all she said like she knew they didn't call him. When he attempted to reschedule, he was informed that due to the previously missed appointments, he would need to pay $200 upfront for the next session. ODD why didn't they say that before? Makes no sense to us. The demeanor of the staff during this interaction was unprofessional, as it appeared that today's visit was intentionally scheduled as a sort of payback for his previously missed appointments, they never intended to see him and planned to waste his time just to tell him that and smirk while doing so. I have severe anxiety and phobias of any dental work. Dr Rasheed and his staff are amazing. They are calming, empathetic to my needs and explained everything. The environment and staff are inviting and treat you like a person, not a patient. I was put at complete ease, and was treated with the utmost respect. I worked with Capitol periodontal group after I had a severe injury to my mouth. I literally face planted into a windshield. I lost my four front teeth and had to have implants put in. It was much more involved than that as I had lost all the bone in my upper mouth. Dr. Khalid Rasheed was amazing. Prior to my accident I had perfect teeth with no cavities I had no idea what was involved in putting teeth back into my head. He was kind and caring and talk to me through each step along the way and what my options were going to be. Terrible experience! Twice during my four visits the doctor was not in that office - he was in a different office. I guess their phones don't work. During a follow up visit today the doctor did not seem to know anything about me. It was to get a new xray on a bone graft - he pulled up the old xray and began to lay out some options. I explained that he was looking at an old xray - once he figured that out it went well. The dental assistant was an angel she apologized for the front office and the doctor using the wrong xray. Had a deep cleaning done and a gum, laser, and dental hygienist assistant did not numb my mouth during the procedure, which was previously done two months ago and was numbed at the time of the procedure. During the procedure I told her she was torturing me . My mouth lwas in so much pain during the procedure that I thought I was going to die of the pain. Five days in pain kept calling by office and they would not acknowledge what they did until I said, they poked me near my brain then they say d I can see a doctor and told me to come in, predisposed my gum and made a air pocket which caused an infection that cost me $3000 to fix from a specialist next door. I will never have their dental assistance work on my mouth again the worst service I received that was my second treatment. The first treatment was with by a man was wonderful numb my mouth cleaned it no problems. Now I am not sure what peri cleaning I will go to. I am now w afraid to get back. read more

I had the best experience with Dr Wu with my extractions and subsequent implant. You can tell she really cares about her patients and want the best outcome for them with the least pain. I was referred to Capitol Periodontal Group by my regular dentist. I had a loose lower tooth and Capitol immediately wanted to extract and do an implant. I said let me think about it. I went back to my regular dentist and she said let's try an antibiotic therapy. 1 year later I still have my lower tooth. I don't doubt these dentists are very good. The staff are so nice amd professional after her treatment they gave her a jamba juice gift card (that's all she could eat or drink after her procedure). If I could give this a zero rating I would! Capital periodontal group are horrible! Dr. Theresa Worsham and her assistant should be fired for the work that they do. I was referred to Dr. Theresa Worsham From my dentist. Without really even looking at what I was sent in for she told me I needed Osseo surgery and bone grafting on both sides of my upper quadrant. My dentist stated I hate sending people to other dental providers that think they have the greenlight to do whatever they want! Her surgery and bone graft failed the very next day and she would not call me back for weeks or respond to emails. I had to go to three other different dental providers due to the screwup she did in my mouth after $3000 worth of work my insurance even stated three times there was no need for this type of procedure and would not pay a penny. When I went to the oral surgeon he stated that there was no work that was done and she doesn't know what she's doing and also they are a corporation just after money. She blamed using crest toothpaste and mouthwash to be the problem why it failed. My dentist also stated that her doing a bone graft on wisdom teeth is very progressive and why would I spend money on something like that. She did not explain herself telling me that's what she was going to do at the endodontist stated that the wisdom teeth needed to be removed anyway! She misdiagnosed my issues her scans were incorrect I paid over $8000 out of pocket and still paying for the screwup that her office did! I have to go back to the oral surgeon to get another bone graft and it is only been five months. I do not recommend them at all and would tell you to talk to your insurance company to see if it is a procedure that is truly needed. read more

What a nitemare getting an implant was at Capitol Perio ..Dr. Nath is very personable and makes you believe his procedures turned out better than any others. When i hired them to do my implant I asked to pay cash up front for a lower price which we agreed to $3000...as things progressed I was asked for another $300 for a surgical guide which is almost always used on front teeth to get proper alignment when they drill the hole for the anchor..I reluctantly agreed and paid the afditional money.. After a couple more procedures they then asked for another $650 for what I couldnt get a straight answer for except providing me with a list of procedures as if Im supposed to be able to understand medical terms...The financial person was extremely rude and condescending when i asked her to explain what extra procedure was done with no results.. So The day i get the anchor hole drilled Dr. Nath puts a large glob of red rubber against my upper lip saying it was the implant guide which I thought was strange since I paid $300 for it. Later that evening I google surgical implant guide and it looks nothing like a big glob of red impression material. After Im all healed up I go to my dentist to have the crown made only to discover the anchor was drilled and healed into the bone pointed firward past the outer edge of my teeth requiring my dentist yo have to have a special post made and now the metal from the crown showsand Dr. Nath damaged the gum edges between the teeth so my gums dont fill in between the teeth... Please do not use Capitol Perio for your implant needs, very shady practice read more

Don't go here! I wouldn't take my dog here. I've been an RN for 28 years I have crown lengthening and the office would give me my post op meds for 3 days. They were so rude. The surgery turned out just fine, but the billing clerks were disorganized, rude, and "too bad, so sad". Somebody must have had a boat payment due, because they came up with an extra $288 charge out of thin air. They blamed their software for not printing that extra line item. Yeah, right. WOW!! I'll start by saying that there are a million different places I'd rather be than the dentist (like walking barefooted through hot coal littered with shards of glass). Every dentist that I've been to prior has either reminded how well I've not taken care of my teeth, and/or reinforced why the dentist is the worst place on earth to spend any amount of time. Now, understand that my hatred for the dentist has led to lack of oral care, making my mouth a construction zone that would challenge the heartiest concrete layer and require him/her to second guess before agreeing to work in my mouth. With the understanding of all the above, I have never had such a pleasant experience as I did at Capitol. I had a dental emergency, and although booked for the day on a Friday none the less, they were able to get me in. The wait time was short in the waiting room. Once back in the dreaded dental chair. The focus of the dental assistant was to make the visit as pleasant as possible. Then when Janet came in (the doctor), she was understanding of my fear, but didn't treat me like an adolescent. Janet did the typical pre-screen, but gentle. Then she went in and addressed the issue at hand. No fluff, no abuse, and she didn't criticize or patronize. My mouth was feeling better immediately after the numbing wore off. I was in and out in less than an hour. Amazing! This is a dentist you will not regret visiting. If you do, then you might want to follow up and see a psychiatrist. Make the appointment here (if need of course). read more

Had gum surgery cause told necessary due to my teeth being so bad. My share of cost was $1900!! And that's only for the top!! But my insurance was maxxed out after agreeing to procedure. I was given 10 norco. Would not refill despite 2 weeks later I'm still in pain. Told me to take 4 200mg ibuprofen wouldn't even give script for 800mg! so my follow up was in 2 weeks. They called & changed date & time which was ok cause it as actually on my day off. I get there today & told that " no we don't have you down.. looks like we called you yo change" and I say yes, that's correct, you changed to today at this time!! They told me to wait to see if they could " fit me in". Which they did after about 10 minutes do okay. I will say I was told that I needed this procedure to save my teeth, I needed to spend the $ etc. they told me I have to use this nasty expensive oral rinse that stains your teeth. I told them I had reservations about using as in the past it discolored my teeth. She said " don't worry! We will polish you up when you come back for follow up". But today I don't even see the doctor! And I mention the promised polishing and am told" no we don't do that.."it was a different hygienist. Then she says" I'm just taking your sutures out today." Whaaaat??? Sutures?? I didn't know I had sutures!! Nothing in the very fancy & costly folder they gave me said anything bout sutures!! And to explain why I'm still having pain she says is because more of my roots are exposed after surgery! Well I thought that's why we were doing the surgery!! Wtf? So now more root exposure? And it's supposed to improve my teeth health??? Very disappointed 2 weeks out still taking the 800 ibuprofen & from what I gathered today I will be for awhile!! She said my follow up with actual doctor is at the end of August.. they SHOULD be better by then!!!??? It was a very painful procedure more so than I was led to believe & she butchered my mouth with necessary multiple shots of numbing med. This place is absolutely wonderful! I think Janet, RDA and Dr. Berrin are just a gift to dentistry. They have a very polite and upbeat front office staff. I really like their appointment confirmation system, they remind me days in advance as opposed to the day before. As for my service, I was seen their in April for crown lengthening, as I had a very gummy smile. They offered me apple juice and apple sauce as I only had a lite breakfast that morning. They gave me a blanket and were very attentive to my needs. They also addressed that my frenulum (small tissue that connects your upper lip to your gum), which was too long and they cut it back at no charge. My new smile turned out great and I was already so happy. Though at my follow-up appoint Dr. Berrin mentioned that one of my front teeth gum was too long (we're talking a millimeter-if that) and offered to re-correct for free. Absolutely stellar service, fair rates, and a wonderful staff. I couldn't be happier with my experience. read more

I was referred here by my dentist to get a quote for an implant so I could compare the price to a bridge. The doctor was very friendly and professional but they doctor gave me a gum exam which I thought was weird since I just had one earlier that week from my dentist. I had already had gotten two quotes where they took x rays and did quick look for free. Capital periodontal is charging me $135. When I called to complain about the bill they said it's their policy to always give a full check up before giving a quote which is a complete garbage rat policy. They could have easily called my dentist to get my dental records updated the same week faxed over. To me, I would be cautious with any company that has such exploitative and unprofessional policies. I was referred here by my dentist. The first time I had to reschedule. I had never came in yet. The day I tried to go in on my scheduled appointment, I was running 20 min. late so common courtesy, I called to see if I can still make it before I make the drive out there for no reason, the doctor said yes but after 25 minutes they can no longer see me. OK, so I was 2 minutes away at 19 min I had drove so far, I get a call from this office saying they can't take me and I am no longer accepted here because THEY SAY, this is the second time I have done this. Which is NOT true, the first time I rescheduled my appointment I was NEVER late for it. Okay I get it, I was 20 minutes late it happens sometimes but really? When I was having tooth pain I ended up here for an exam to see if they could figure out what was wrong. Turns out I needed to have my tooth pulled. Dr. Nath is great and his staff is very friendly and caring when it comes to your dental work. The first time I was in the office I was in so much pain and they reassured me that everything would be ok with the procedure they would do. I was so upset at the pain, and they made me feel better and comforted me. Since then, I have had my extraction and my implant. His demeanor and confidence is calming, in and of itself. He immediately set me at ease by assuring me I had made the right decision to improve my dental health. Just got a tooth pulled and a bone graft today in the Elk Grove office... Dr. Khalid Rasheed was very attentive, informative, and had a very smooth touch... Did not feel a thing. I have to say I was a little nervous at first, but the whole staff from the Dental Assistants to the front office staff were very respectful and caring. I was also a little embarrassed that I needed implants, but the staff was respectful and treated me with dignity. We even scheduled the follow up visit at one of their offices that was closer to my home. Dr. Rasheed even called me an hour ago at home in the evening to make sure I was doing ok and asked if I had any other questions. This is THE only place to go in the Sacramento area for implants! Amazing people , My Regular dentist Doc Tuschida, sent me for 3D exray. Went to three specialist. NO ONE found, three teeth with cracks up to jaw bone. One Doctor won't name said it could be imagination can't find a thing.( ( Doc Chen ))not only made time for me, in one day. Found cracks in teeth and jaw, and explained wanted results. Spend advisory time with me, very nice ,funny, knowledgeable, sympathetic, gentle. Thought I would have bad pain didn't, feel great. Love the Staff, at every office Cindy, Donna, Jodie .
