It's not secret that Parish Family Dental is an amazing place. I actually changed my dental insurance to be able to go to this practice specifically. I used to go here when I first moved back to Sacramento, so it is great to be able to return to this dental office! Amber cleaned my teeth yesterday and she is amazing. I have a lot of anxiety around going to the dentist office as someone who has struggled with disordered eating for years. She handled me with care, compassion, and understanding. The way she approached explaining everything to me made me feel so extremely safe and seen. I love this practice and I look forward to being able to go here for my cleanings going forward. 10/10 experience! The office itself is clean, decorated nicely, free water, and beautiful. When picking someone for any part of you health it's a roll of dice. However no gambling needed when picking Parish Family dental. Take a stroll with me on my visit. I walk in and the front door front desk staff is super cool friendly and smart, they know what's going on. Then i get taken back to my Hygeinist she was on top of all things needed with my teeth. She went step by step several xrays, pictures and my favorite part scraping. Lets ge those pearly white please. Then the dentist came in again super friendly asked me if i had any concerns and then went over my exam in very detail even using AI and pictures,xrays all wich i was able to see. The front office staff was very helpful and kind, the hygienists were professional, courteous, and mindful of each patient needs. My husband is so annoyed about my pickiness when it comes to dentists. We don't have to agree on the same one, but this was our last effort before we split ways. That said, I almost gave up on them. I had a couple of cleanings and it was okay. I mean, if no awkwardness or billing confusion happens then is it even a real dentist visit? BUT my latest visit was the best. The hygienist, Regina, was efficient and down to earth, and it was good to catch Dr. Parish this time. My husband seems to like it here, too. Not sure if he'd recommend wisdom teeth extraction, but that's not my personal experience to tell. read more

Although Dr. Parish is conveniently close to my home, I just can't find myself liking the staff. On several occasions I've had " miscommunications" with the office staff. For one Jordan is extremely rude. She definitely lacks customer service. When speaking with her you could tell she's annoyed, she sighs heavy and is just very unprofessional. Another experience I had was my 7 yr old getting a tooth pulled and Dr. Threw it away and acted like it wasn't a big deal. He just threw his arm ups and said "o well!" My 7 year old was so sad. Like I said I've tried to like this office for over 3 years, but I think it's time to move on.... read more

Sonia and Dr. Poline are THE BEST!!! I had a job that other dentists in my area had given me faulty information on and were ready to do a very costly procedure unnecessarily. I went in and Dr. Poline and Sonia took great care of me. They were super professional, friendly, and took great care to ensure I was comfortable with the procedure and informed me of my choices. They were able to do a much better job than I expected! And they took care of the procedure it in a shorter time frame than other places were quoting and and the pricing was reasonable. I am terrified of dentists, the whole process scares me. I had a recommendation from a friend to go to this practice and I'm so grateful I did!! The office staff is amazing and really set the tone for a great experience. My hygienist was Mitzi and I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful she was!! I expressed my concerns and she was so open to hearing my fears and was so calming. Not judge mental at all! After only a few minutes of talking with her I knew I was in good hands. My nerves subsided and I wasn't scared. I live over 40 minutes away from this place but I will have NO issues driving out here for this kind of experience. My whole family has been coming here for 20+ years-- they are the best. Dr. Parish took over for our previous dentist (Dr. Wheaton) who retired, and he remodeled and updated the office as well as the technology. The office is always on the cutting edge with the most current treatments. As modern as it is, they haven't lost the family feel, which is why we haven't gone anywhere else. What a wonderful experience! I had only been with Parish Family Dental for a short time when an a dental emergency occurred the Friday before Christmas when the office was closed. I called the emergency POC, Loran, explained my situation and she said to meet her and Dr. Parish at the office for X-rays. The x-rays showed that I would likely need a root canal. Dr. Parish gave me the option of getting the root canal or having the tooth pulled. I decided on the root canal and Parish Family Dental was able to refer me to a specialist that day. I had my root canal completed, which will allow for a relatively pain free Christmas! The people working at Parish Family Dental are so kind and professional and Dr. Parish has a great way with patients. There are so many dentists in the Sacramento area and I am overjoyed that I was lucky enough to find Parish Family Dental. 5 stars all the way. read more

Everyone that I had interactions with at both locations was extremely professional and nice. I had an emergency and they were gracious to fit me in same day no problem. I then got scheduled for treatment. It was an extraction along with root canal and crown. I had previously lost 2 other teeth which left a gap due to not having adult teeth under the baby teeth (those baby teeth lasted till I was 47)..so to add another missing tooth was devastating since I wasn't able to get the implants done when I wanted. I have to give a HUGE thank you to Katrina..she was very calming and when she heard my story mentioned I should get a temporary plate to cover the area while it healed for implants (which is 6 months). I was soo thankful for her consideration. And she said to not pull the tooth that day but take impressions for the temporary plate and then have the tooth pulled same day as I get the plate to avoid being able to see the missing teeth. Her kindness and consideration brought a tear to my eye because I have a long history of tooth problems. They do same day crowns as well! Wow! No waiting weeks with an uncomfortable temporary crown! I will say I will continue to have my dental care there and would have no problem recommending this office! read more

I don't do a lot of these negative reviews, but I feel I need to say something to those new to the area. I just moved here from the Bay Area. Apparently there is a difference in the expected quality of care here. I have never seen some of these practices. Here are some oddities that strike me as weird. Of course every dentist is different. 1. On my first visit, at the end of my cleaning a man comes in to the room, I assume he is the dentist who begins to ask the hygienist which teeth she sees issues with. He pokes it and says yes. They dialog back and forth he never looked at my whole mouth, he only checked what the hygienist called out. I never actually spoke to him or him me. He spoke to the hygienist. After he leaves I find I have many cavities! Mind you I have been under dental care consistently. It is very hard to believe I have all of a sudden lots of cavities! And one needs a crown. What the heck? I questioned it but went ahead and made the appointment to get started on fillings. 2. On my second visit, I again was never introduced by anyone. I had to ask every person who they were. An assistant gave me the gel and laid back in the chair. And then a woman come from behind me and said "do you have any questions, I'm going to fill your tooth" while she put on gloves. Yes, are you the dentist? She said yes and her name but never actually addressed me. She next came at me with the needle which was super gentle and I never felt pain. After I asked which teeth she was filling? She never explained the X-ray or showed me the cavity. I suppose I was just supposed to trust them. No choice now. 3. This was the weirdest. After a very few minutes of drilling.i mean 2 mins top. She leaves. And another person comes in and starts working on me to fill the cavity after the dentist left!! I had to ask who they were and what the heck why was the dentist not filling the tooth. She said she was a Restorative Specialist. Ok new one on me. She completed the filling and sent me on my way. I never had anyone check that filling after. 4. Later that day when the feeling came back a few hours later I could tell the filling was not "finished" there were jagged edges which cut my lip. And I can't floss between teeth. There is a bunch of excess filing that should have been cleared out. So I call the office to ask to see the dentist to have it corrected and checked. Now I'm questioning if it's a good filling. The office says, no the dentist would not see me, my only option is to see the assistant again to try and buff it out. So bottom line, I did some research and yes there are specialized roles for assistants to do the cavity, but the dentist is supposed to check it after! I called my old dentist in the Bay Area and they would never think of having someone other than a dentist touch an open cavity. It's done by busy dentists under careful observation. I see a lot of happy customers of Parsh Dentistry so I assume these practices are routine here. But for me. No thanks! When a dentist can't take the time to show me the X-rays and discuss issues themselves or look at a filling when a patient calls in with an issue....I am out. read more

All I can say is WOW! Getting my teeth fixed has been a dream of mine for the last 30 years! I saw some pictures on Facebook of before and after photos and I immediately contacted Dan at Parish Family Dental. I called and was greeted by an amazing secretary and she was so happy to get me booked for an appointment. Three days later I showed up and was greeted by the whole Parish family team. Dan asked what I wanted and he showed me several different options within my budget. I decided to do everything I ever dreamed of. Just to let you know I Got there at 9am and left at 6pm I couldn't believe how something like this was even possible let alone all in ONE DAY! Dan and his beautiful staff took their time with me and made every adjustment possible to make my teeth look amazing! Take a look at the pictures below and I'm sure you will agree. Dan and the team even got me Wingstop for lunch. Little did Dan know that wingstop is my favorite. I just want to say thank you to Dan and the whole team from the bottom of my heart.
