The sculptures were lit up with colorful lights, which made walking through them feel like a winter art exhibit. Even though some sculptures had started to melt due to warmer temperatures this year, it was still really cool to see the level of detail and creativity. Knowing that each piece started as a massive block of snow made the experience even more impressive. Transportation: We drove our own car and parked in downtown Breckenridge. Parking is paid, but we arrived at a time where we only had to pay $0.50, since parking is free after 8 PM on weekends in downtown Breckenridge. Price: Admission is completely free, which makes this experience even better. Crowd: A small crowd of people were there spread out. It was one of the last nights to view the sculptures. Experience: It was amazing to see what the artists were able to create from huge blocks of snow. Walking through the sculptures at night made it feel more immersive and fun, and it was a unique winter activity to experience before leaving Colorado. Everything was easy to walk through, and the setup made it enjoyable to take your time and really look at each sculpture. Overall: I would highly recommend checking out the Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Competition at least once, or even twice, since the sculptures are different every year. It's a free, unique winter experience and definitely worth seeing while you're in Colorado.

Regarding the conductor....He added so much by giving insights into the music. For example, one piece was converted for a symphony from four-handed piano pieces. In addition to describing this change, he had the pianist play a small portion followed by the entire symphony playing the same portion. Hearing the transformation made the piece more interesting. I will definitely be going back!!! And, here's the thing; get the "cheap seats". It's a small concert hall; the last row ain't that far back. And if you want to be truly adventurous (super cheap) during the warmer summer nights, bring a blanket and a picnic, and sit outside - you'll be under the stars while listening to the beautiful music.

Less great news is Vilar could really use better signage for directions... I can't tell you how many people got lost... if you come up from parking and are facing the ice rink, look to your right and there is a down escalator. Take it to go to Vilar... ish... don't worry you'll get there! I believe in you? The venue is very nice and intimate. Just a few things to note, it is a stay in your seat venue so consider that if you are deciding to go see a show. Please also be aware that they are a no photos or videos venue. It is an odd experience as there are several people in the crowd who are clearly there as it is simply something to do and would not otherwise have attended a country concert. It was an enjoyable experience overall and they clearly gave a lot of thought to their seasons program. I would encourage going, but don't expect a normal rowdy concert experience!

It's like shut up and sing and dance, stop giving political messages about your WOKE DEI agenda. This performance was Anti-America and trying to rewrite history to trash the founders and its history. This Mr. Magoo need to go back to his six flags dancing commercial and put this horrible production out of its misery. Save your money, go to Branson, Go to Vegas, go anywhere but this Vilar center. Oh yeah, they had a stage light literally shining in the eyes and blinding audience the entire time until halftime when someone had to scream out for them to finally turn that off.

It happened between 12-3pm under a tent in front of the Solaris. First heard about it in the Vail Daily website that shares daily events in town. The jazz show was in the midst of the Vail Farmers' Market so it was a nice addition while the Farmers' Market was going on. The tent was small but it was still awesome jazz music and it was FREE!!! So you can't really beat that. If you like jazz, come check this out. There are only a few free shows left. Here is some more information from their website: "Vail Jazz @ The Market.
