They are located in the small downtown of Ochlocknee Georgia a little off US 19. Just know that all those vehicles parked on both sides of the street on any Thursday through Saturday from 4-9 pm are for people eating @ Billy's. While in Thomasville we got a recommendation to try Billy's and decided to drive even further from Tallahassee to give them a try. We are so glad that we did. We had fried grouper, fried catfish and fried shrimp with cheese grits and coleslaw as sides. Both fried fish choices were delicious although the wife would have liked a little more corn meal in the catfish breading. The shrimp were ok. Cheese grits were very good and the coleslaw was ok. Oh yeah, the hush puppies were good too. Portions are generous. Sides are a la carte and inexpensive. We even got a cinnamon bun to take home and share later. It was really sweet with the syrup and cream cheese frosting they included to add to it. Service was super attentive and the owner came out a couple of times and made the rounds to check on his customers. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the experience. We plan to go back because it's a pleasant country drive to get there. Definitely could combine it with picking up some cheeses from Sweet Grass Dairy, baked goods from The Bread Wagon and fresh produce from the Farmer's Market in Thomasville. Just have to make the trip on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. P.S.-There was fried catfish that came home and it was delicious reheated the next day. Cheese grits too.

We ordered fried mushrooms that came out fast. They were hot and juicy. Fried shrimp was perfect. Burgers and chicken sandwich were also good. Cheese grits and sweet potato fries hit the mark.

I always start by ordering an appetizer crab claws. They are usually big and you get about 16 of them. They were a little smaller today but still delicious. I do like their tartar sauce and cocktail sauce, which is on the table. The tartar sauce taste just like I would make it and the cocktail sauce has a little less horseradish than I would put in, but it's still very flavorful. The fried shrimp is excellent. My friend likes the sweet potato fries and I like their slaw. The crabcakes Were crabby and not too much bread. Today I had the fish sandwich which was a catfish fillet on a hoagie roll. It came with lettuce, tomato, onions, and dill pickle. The dill pickles were great and I don't like pickles. The catfish was perfectly tender, coated in cornmeal and fried. I always enjoy the trip up to Attapulgus and my service is always spot on. Oh the cheese grits were good. The only thing that I dislike is that the food comes on disposable plates and Styrofoam cups. But at least that way they don't have dishes to do. I'll come back again.

Jesse was our server, he did an incredible job. As someone who worked in hospitality for 10 years, I give the food and the service 10 stars. I watched as the other employees handle a high maintenance customer with kindness and respect, which shows how well they treat their customers. Can't wait to go back, thanks again, Jesse!

Got their version of BamBam Shrimp on a bed of greens.to start. Presentation was on a bed of chopped iceberg lettuce, no side plates were offered, and we used our single paper napkin to keep our silverware off the table and wipe our mouths. No linen napkins. I did surf n turf, medium well which most kitchens struggle with. No different here, cooked well all the way through. Baked potato was genuinely cool to the touch. Collard greens were excessively seasoned with vinegar. Not good at all. The presentation was shockingly bad, one side on my plate had a rim of black pepper, the other side had a rim of butter from the shrimp, that's my best guess. Shockingly bad. My wife ordered ribeye medium rare. The outer part was well done and the inside was very rare, cook temperature way too high. Baked potato cool to the touch again. From my seat the kitchen looked chaotic and undisciplined, no quality control at the pass at all, no floor manager present anywhere to be seen. Sometimes my view was blocked by employees clocking in to work. This table should be the last to be assigned period. Non culinary folks could find easy ways to improve this place, linen napkins, side plates, hot food, precision cooking etc. The lack of oversight for the food preparation and presentation of the food killed the experience for sure, no supervision or management of the kitchen and food.

The brim or blue gill fish come from Lake Okeechobee in Florida and are all tagged. Under current laws, they cannot buy your fish unless you are licensed to sell. Shrimp may be from the Florida gulf or Louisiana. But it is all good. They will clean the shrimp anyway you want it. I like mine off the shell with the tail on and deveined. You will want to wash them one more time at home to remove any leftover residues. Mostly I go to buy shrimp and it's always good. I get the jumbo shrimp to cook on the grill. Cleaning of your shrimp is done while you wait. It doesn't take long. They also do a great job at cleaving the fish you catch. They charge $1 a pound and if you want the skin off the filets they it's $2 a pound. It's really not worth the mess and effort to do it yourself. Just let them do it. Expect to leave your ice chest with them. Depending on how busy they are and the time of the day, it could be ready the same day or the next morning. They accept all major credit and debit cards. They will give you ample ice with any order. Whether you are buying or just getting cleaned. They Lao have frozen seafood as well but some of that might be imported which I never buy. All employees are very courteous. They will be glad to help you carry your ice chest to and from your vehicles. Harper's has a huge wholesale business in the back with semi-trucks that delivery seafood all over the place. This is not a small operation. They know seafood. They buy it on their trips as well. I have posted some priced which were effective Sep 2019. I recommend Harper's.
