My server immediately came to the table, brought me an unsweetened tea. I was torn between shrimp n grits or the Parmesan crusted black grouper. My said both were great. I chose the grouper. My entree arrived and it didn't disappoint. A large thick piece of grouper cooked perfectly surrounded by a crispy delicious crust. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and tender with a tasty sweet glaze. The greens were also on point - lots of bacon pieces and a sweet/spicy taste. Lunch came with a large crispy hush puppy. With tip - lunch was $50. A bit pricey - I don't mind paying top dollar for a top quality meal and service. Well done Jonah's!

Not really worth the wait. Decent food. Friendly staff. But nothing super special. For Thomasville, I get it, but I live in Pensacola where there is a place like this on every corner. I had the grouper sandwich (blackened) and the fried green tomatoes for a starter. The FGTs were very good. The sandwich was average except that the ciabatta bun was exceptional. Cheese grits on the side were above average. Brussels sprouts were just like any bistro Brussels sprouts ever (man, I wish this trend would die, but I keep ordering them hoping to be surprised.) The place was PACKED (as usual) but the staff were friendly and attentive. For me, however, this is expected in any restaurant. Therefore: 3 stars for decent - if unimaginative- food and good service. Will not come back unless there is no line ... albeit an unlikely scenario.

Dinner night in Thomasville, we decided on George and Louie's Seafood restaurant…read more It's reminiscent of the old order at the counter and service after pay, restaurants of my youth. I settled in for the fried shrimp, sweet potato fries and coleslaw, while Dawn had the Greek-shrimp salad. We were served quickly and the shrimp was fresh and cooked nicely. I like my fries just a little more crispy than what I received, but they weren't bad. The slaw was good, with just a hint of dill in the mix. Dawn absolutely loved her salad, it was seasoned just right according to her. Everyone was friendly, the waitress made sure we were okay, and the ambience was good. It's a little pricey for everyday dining, but it was definitely worth the price. Give George and Louie's a try if you are in the Thomasville Ga. Area!

Food: I ordered the blue cheese burger, tots, and an ice tea. With tax, $18.33 The burger was very tasty, but it's barely bigger than a slider. The photo I took shows a normal tot in relation to the burger. Tots: cooked right and a good portion. Tipping: optional, and I'm still not sold on tipping for counter service. But here, they do bring it to your table. The issue is the credit card screen; you have 4 options: 20%, 25%, 30%, and "no tip". As I didn't have the option to choose less than 20%, I chose no tip. (Did cash tip the server though) Food good. Service good, value and portion not so much.

As we aged we realized not all coffee was the same, so our quest for a better tasting coffee lead us in many different directions. Along the way we learned a lot about coffee; the difference in the origins of the beans, the taste and aroma characteristics of each one. Pecan Hill Coffee Roasters is the result of our search for the elusive perfect coffee. Have we found the perfect coffee? Depends on who you talk with. While we feel we are close to finding it, we still experiment with our roasting and blends in order to continuously improve our coffee. Our children and grandchildren all participate in the business. They sweep the floors, apply labels, help bag and ship. they taste the different flavors and blends as we pull samples to brew in order to assure consistent quality. Our blends are the product of my nephew and his chemistry degree. They are unique to us and we think they provide a different level in the quality and taste of our coffee. We believe our coffee is as good as any, and better than most. And if you don't believe us, just try it. For more information, visit our website today!
