The truth is these are fields of dreams, the broken dreams of aspiring little leaguers. In all seriousness, these fields are of great quality. They are maintained because little leagues use these for their games. The only downs side is that the grass is not uniform. That means that the grass can be bumpy so watch out for twisted ankles!!!

We came here for a kid's birthday party, and this park is so nice!…read more It's very spacious, lots of free parking, and lots of features. There is an extensive playground with different types of swings, merry-go-round things, a large playhouse thing, and several slides on a little hill on the playground. In the area with the slides they have turf material and there is a recycling box with cardboard so that kids can use it and also sled down the hill. They have different types of courts like for basketball, pickleball, tennis, baseball. There is lots of space to walk on the gravel path, and there is sort of a pond area (which appears to be less maintained). There are many picnic areas that are shaded too. I really liked that the area the birthday party was located had a gate so that kids wouldn't run out and away. The playground also had a gate on it too, which is great for childrens' safety and parents' ease of minds! We noticed the bathrooms are somewhat high tech with lights to activate the automatic doors and lights to indicate that the bathroom is occupied. I didn't go in, so I can't comment on cleanliness/upkeep. Wish this kind of park was more common. I would highly recommend this park!

New magical bridge playground opens this weekend. It's not even open yet and it looks beautiful so far :) It has a dog park, a trail, a basketball court, a tennis court, and a baseball field. I almost forgot, the ducks! It has a lake with ducks! I like walking the trail because there are plenty of trees which creates shade, so it's not just sunny. The bathrooms are located in between the tennis courts and the baseball field. Also, parking is free! Anyone can come with children, strollers, solo individuals, people with dogs, anyone. Everyone is in their own world, living their life with nature.

Hot dogs were warm and had been sitting for sure.. I didn't even finish and made my boys stop eating theirs too because I got a bad feeling about it. They check bags and are pretty strict on not bringing any outside food OR drinks. My baseball player walked in with a muffin and they made him eat it before entering.

My experience was particularly frustrating: despite carrying a letter of medical necessity, I was still challenged by gate staff. I hope management reconsiders this policy; it is not a sustainable way to run a park that hosts youth tournaments.

This park has bongos!…read more Nice sized playground with fun equipment in excellent condition along with regular swings and baby swings. Clean and safe bathroom and lots of trees. Nice layout with some short walking paths meandering through trees. Also did I mention that it has bongos? For extra fun you can ride bikes or scooters with your littles on the Hetch Hetchy Trail adjacent to the park. You'll roast in the summer in the afternoon here so morning and evening visits are advised.

They make a big deal about the fields being replicas of major league stadiums but I've been to many major league stadiums and I didn't see the resemblance. It's regularly 90-100+ in Manteca during the summer and they prevent you from bringing in Gatorade for your kids who are playing, sometimes in back to back games, on turf where the temp is easily increased by another 5 or 10 degrees. Sounds dangerous and highly irresponsible, especially for children who are not used to living in or playing in this heat. There also just isn't enough shade built into the facility. The clubhouse gets packed and so do the few shaded areas. Since those are the onky spaces that are ADA, they are also the only spaces where you can wheel and store wagons to cart chairs, umbrellas, coolers of water etc. So the clubhouse spaces between tables and the shaded walkways outdoors are packed with wagons and people trying to avoid the sun/heat and then no one can easily get through. You have to go through the clubhouse to get from one stadium to another if you have a wagon, or walk all the way around in the scorching heat. It's a fire hazard really. On their website, it says you cannot bring outside food either but when you get there, after driving for more than an hour, you learn you can also bring fresh fruit. Well thanks. Would have been good to know that before we headed here and left fresh fruit at home. The website rules also say you can't have music. We played between inning music and walk-up music all season but left the speakers at home because of the rules. When we got here, other teams were playing music. We learned that the rule doesnt apply to youth. Again it would have been nice for that info to be clear and available in the planning stage. Lastly, you can't bring in food but their food court is expensive ($33 for two orders of chicken tenders and fries with a small drink) and there aren't enough options, especially for those with dietary restrictions or just an interest in not eating fried food or pizza. This place has a lot of promise but needs to shift from an "if you know you know" mentality, since it draws people from hours away who will only know if it is on the website and clearly stated.
