Firstly, my apologies to Bad Daddy. I reviewed this restaurant a number of months back and thought the name of the establishment was "Big Daddy's". I was picturing a rotund father who perhaps had a few too many burgers and fries in his diet. This does raise the question, what did Bad Daddy do to be so bad? Hopefully something like late on the Valentines flowers or slipped up on an anniversary and certainly not something like skipping out on child support. I will say, however, I do know what Bad Daddy is doing right. Great service, a hopping sports bar ambiance, and fabulous burgers. They have salads, fries, and onion rings as well. This is a fun restaurant/sports bar. They have tons of parking available that they share with the other businesses in the strip mall that it is located in. They have covered patio seating, a large full service bar with seating and a medium sized dinning area. They have a TV at the bar and a couple of televisions placed around the dining area. Their walls have movie posters and other memorabilia on them. It has a lot going on and is very busy, but I like it. They have your typical pub food with an emphasis on burgers. They have an exotic assortment of those beef patties. Some of their other items include chicken and salads. They have some tasty signature cocktails, flavored margaritas, lemonades, and craft beers. The service there was top notch. Our server was awesome. She was very attentive, courteous and helpful. I order the Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids, with a side of fries. It took about 20 minutes to get my food. It was hot and fresh. The burger was not the best burger that I have had, but it was good. It was packed with bacon, 6 strips of it. I was not a fan of the beef patty though. It did not have a lot of flavor to it. It was kind of bland. The other parts of the burger compensated for it though. The fries were decent. I recommend the strawberry lemonade though. It comes with real strawberries. Tons of them....mmmm. This is a nice family restaurant. It does have somewhat limited seating. The food is good (not the best), the service is top shelf, the bar is awesome and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Alabama. Been since I was in the 6th grade since I've set foot on this red dirt. In Montgomery visiting family. Two things I love are good burgers, good spuds. Hit up Yelp. First burger joint? Bad Daddy's. The pictures had me when I saw house made chips. Ordered take out. Got the food home. Dove into the chips first. I usually eat round robin. They were so good, I honestly forgot I had a bacon cheeseburger sitting in front of me. Okay, the burger. It's kind of difficult to call this a bacon cheeseburger. Why? 6 slices of crispy bacon atop a thick beefy patty. Not 6 half slices of bacon. Not bacon crumbles. 6 full slices of crispy, smoky bacon. So, in essence, this was a BLT with a juicy thick houseburger underneath. This is a bacon lovers' dream burger. My dream burger come to life. There are people living this way because they live here near Bad Daddy's. One downside. Shredded lettuce, not whole leaf. That's me being finicky. Thick slice of beefsteak tomato though, and nice amount of pickles. This was more than a winning bacon-bacon-bacon-bacon-bacon-baconcheeseburger. I gave it 5 stars even though they aren't in my city in Texas. I'm no hater. I'm stepping up my use of bacon next time I make a burger at home. They've pushed a button in my brain that won't let me go backward. read more

Been to the original in Colorado Springs and didn't realize this was a chain!! How excited was I to realize it's been right down the road on my business trips?!?! The margaritas were more expensive here ($13, instead of $8 in Colorado) but it's been 6 months so, inflation? Got the deviled eggs, just as good as before! Ordered the bacon cheeseburger and tots (knowing I'd take half to go, and a little guilty I got that instead of the salad I got last time!) Plenty of left overs for dinner tomorrow and so good!! Waited over 30 minutes and no one ever came to wait on us. The 2 hostess were sitting playing on their phones. People around us who came in after us were being waiting on. Some of the waitresses would look over at act like we weren't there. I will never go back there again. read more

My coworkers and I went here to eat. We've Eaten here before and had good experiences. This evening had to have been the worst thus for. We arrived at 5:04pm. We sat down and was greeted by our server. She took our drink order. And then came back for our appetizer. So forth so good. Appetizer comes out no drinks. 5:15, 5:20, 5:25... still no drinks. And mind you, I ordered a Stella Artois that's put out of a can. We asked her were our drinks on the way. She responded back by saying that her waiter hasn't prepared them yet. 5:30, 5:35. ... time is passing. We can see the Bartender from where we were sitting. And he didn't look like he was in the weeds. Out of the twenty spaces I counted in the restaurant only seven of them were occupied. They weren't that busy. We stopped our server again and asked for our drinks before our dinner would arrive. She flat out, told us there is nothing that she can do about getting our drinks. She said that I'll serve her didn't make them yet. And then she asked if we wanted to speak to a manager. And it wasn't like she was asking being concerned that we need to help. Her attitude when asked that question was more for you can get then and they wouldn't be able to help you either. So I said yes. Time now is 5:45pm And here comes the manager to the table with our food. I explained to the manager that we have been sitting there for forty one minute and I have not received my beer. At this point we've eaten our appetizer and about ten bark on our entree. I explained to him the whole situation along with Our servers attitude and he said give him a minute and you take care of that. The drinks finally arrived. As I go to bite into my Black Bean Burger, I take a bite and swallow and then realize that I was eating chicken. I am a pescatarian and don't eat meat and I just swallowed a piece of chicken. Call the manager back over there to tell him what just tapped. And he picks up the plate and looks at the plate lije something was wrong with it. I had to tell him is chicken not a black bean burger. So he proceeds to go to the back fixing me what I ordered. Not one apology from the manager or the server. Not only did I get my drink forty one minute into entering the restaurant, But you gave me the wrong item that I ordeand didn't apologize they're concern. When the waitress came over, she didn't even do a quality check to make sure I was okay. She said do you want separate checks I put it all on one. They actually made me pay for this meal. That was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had at any restaurant. Need I tell you I am never going back there again. For the first time in my life, I left her no tip. It wasn't deserving. The food was edible, but thats about it and when I don't take chicken strips home that's a bad sign! The waitress had a bad attitude from the beginning kinda like she just hated her job or maybe just thought she was at home instead of at work. When she took the money from my husband with the check, she snatched it out of his hand & that was really rude, he was so upset he didn't leave any tip & he doesn't do that unless its warranted! Her behavior was just atrocious & I don't think its an Alabama thing cause we ate somewhere else where the staff was great, so I feel it was just her personally hating her job & thats a shame that customers, especially visitors from another state have to be subjected to such treatment when just trying to have a nice meal when visiting a new state. This review is about the take out. While I have walked through to pick up my food, I have never actually eaten inside. I order on the app with a specified time, usually and hour or so ahead. Each time my food was ready and still warm. The burgers are excellent as are the fries. I wish the food was less wrapped in plastic.
