Solid place to visit. The fried deviled eggs were different yet delicious. I had the patty melt it came open faced which was disappointing but the flavor and filling-ness of the meal made up for it. Where to start? I came into this restaurant with my sister on a Wednesday night (keep that in mind). I've been here once before and the service was absolutely horrendous, but I thought I'd give it another try.. mistake number one. When you go to Bad Daddy's, do not expect to be treated with grace, instead expect a quick little glance and "just two?". Anyways, we are sat immediately then wait for our server to come by and get our drink orders. She comes to our table and is very deadpan and bored but she gets the job done. Not our server, but a different server brings us our drinks... we then are able to order our appetizer and we ordered the elote street corn dip. I wish I was told that I'd be given a sorry excuse for a normally very yummy treat that I loved while growing up. Instead I am served a cream of corn dip with a sprinkle of tajin in a miniature cauldron from hobby lobby. FILLED HALFWAY MIND YOU. Me and my sister ration the whole thing so there's enough to go with each, popcorn kernel tasting, burnt, saltless tortilla chip and still we had more chips than dip. Nice. Was expecting way more for 14 dollars and a 15 minute wait. Then we order our meal. Me and my sister decide to split a double smash burger. The server asks if we would like it to be cut in half and we say yes that'd be great. 30 minute wait later, FOR ONE BURGER, it comes out and I audibly hollered. I could not believe my eyes. I don't know what kind of cook is at this restaurant that even remotely thought this burger was cut in half but I am seriously worried about their eyesight. When I tell you this damn burger is cut into 1/3 and another 2/3, I am not lying (picture attached). To the chefs at bad daddy's, you're assholes. I genuinely believe that this isn't lack of basic geometry knowledge, but just pure dickheadedness because what part about the word HALF, was not understood? 50/50?? HALF?! I am beyond fuckin irritated with this. It baffles me how terrible one could cut a damn sandwich. By the way, the most basic burger, no fighting tomatoes or onions, just meat and bread. And shoutout to our server for looking at that shit and being like "yah this works" THANKSSSSS! And with one pickle spear, it was ON ONE SINGULAR SIDE OF THE HALF ASSED CUT BURGER. I then walked up to the bar to get a knife because OH YEAH WE WERENT GIVEN UNTENSILS and I cut the burger the opposite way so that me and my sister can have even proportions. I proceed to pick up my quadrant of my burger and THERES NO BOTTOM FUCKING BUN HELLO?? JUST ANGUS BEEF TOAST. I ate it with steam spewing from my ears but holy moly they might actually have cooked it in straight salt because no matter how much sweet tea I slammed, that was the saltiest burger I've had. Then I go to pick up my second quadrant and there happens to be some bottom bun but the FUCKING PICKLE SPEAR IS WRAPPED LIKE A SPIRAL AROUND THE BREAD. I know for a fact the cooks were in the back like "aye man whoever can assemble this burger the best blind folded gets the first break tonight ahahah" and then out came our sideways spiraled burger cut into thirds that has been salt brined ever since Jesus walked out the damn tomb. OH and forgot to mention but for half this experience someone was walking around smelling like a hurricane soaked dumpster. Only a slaughter house could produce that smell. I was horrified. The food is usually just ok anyway but I ordered as recently as August 7th. And it gave me food poisoning. There are too contaminants running around in food nowadays to just be quiet about it. I know that it was what made me sick because it was literally the first and last thing I ate that day. One of the managers offered me more of their poisoned food as a reward. Firstly, my apologies to Bad Daddy. I reviewed this restaurant a number of months back and thought the name of the establishment was "Big Daddy's". I was picturing a rotund father who perhaps had a few too many burgers and fries in his diet. This does raise the question, what did Bad Daddy do to be so bad? Hopefully something like late on the Valentines flowers or slipped up on an anniversary and certainly not something like skipping out on child support. I will say, however, I do know what Bad Daddy is doing right. Great service, a hopping sports bar ambiance, and fabulous burgers. They have salads, fries, and onion rings as well. This is a fun restaurant/sports bar. They have tons of parking available that they share with the other businesses in the strip mall that it is located in. They have covered patio seating, a large full service bar with seating and a medium sized dinning area. They have a TV at the bar and a couple of televisions placed around the dining area. Their walls have movie posters and other memorabilia on them. It has a lot going on and is very busy, but I like it. They have your typical pub food with an emphasis on burgers. They have an exotic assortment of those beef patties. Some of their other items include chicken and salads. They have some tasty signature cocktails, flavored margaritas, lemonades, and craft beers. The service there was top notch. Our server was awesome. She was very attentive, courteous and helpful. I order the Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids, with a side of fries. It took about 20 minutes to get my food. It was hot and fresh. The burger was not the best burger that I have had, but it was good. It was packed with bacon, 6 strips of it. I was not a fan of the beef patty though. It did not have a lot of flavor to it. It was kind of bland. The other parts of the burger compensated for it though. The fries were decent. I recommend the strawberry lemonade though. It comes with real strawberries. Tons of them....mmmm. This is a nice family restaurant. It does have somewhat limited seating. The food is good (not the best), the service is top shelf, the bar is awesome and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Alabama. Been since I was in the 6th grade since I've set foot on this red dirt. In Montgomery visiting family. Two things I love are good burgers, good spuds. Hit up Yelp. First burger joint? Bad Daddy's. The pictures had me when I saw house made chips. Ordered take out. Got the food home. Dove into the chips first. I usually eat round robin. They were so good, I honestly forgot I had a bacon cheeseburger sitting in front of me. Okay, the burger. It's kind of difficult to call this a bacon cheeseburger. Why? 6 slices of crispy bacon atop a thick beefy patty. Not 6 half slices of bacon. Not bacon crumbles. 6 full slices of crispy, smoky bacon. So, in essence, this was a BLT with a juicy thick houseburger underneath. This is a bacon lovers' dream burger. My dream burger come to life. There are people living this way because they live here near Bad Daddy's. One downside. Shredded lettuce, not whole leaf. That's me being finicky. Thick slice of beefsteak tomato though, and nice amount of pickles. This was more than a winning bacon-bacon-bacon-bacon-bacon-baconcheeseburger. I gave it 5 stars even though they aren't in my city in Texas. I'm no hater. I'm stepping up my use of bacon next time I make a burger at home. Been to the original in Colorado Springs and didn't realize this was a chain!! How excited was I to realize it's been right down the road on my business trips?!?! The margaritas were more expensive here ($13, instead of $8 in Colorado) but it's been 6 months so, inflation? Got the deviled eggs, just as good as before! My coworkers and I went here to eat. We've Eaten here before and had good experiences. This evening had to have been the worst thus for. We arrived at 5:04pm. We sat down and was greeted by our server. She took our drink order. And then came back for our appetizer. So forth so good. Appetizer comes out no drinks. 5:15, 5:20, 5:25... still no drinks. And he didn't look like he was in the weeds. Out of the twenty spaces I counted in the restaurant only seven of them were occupied. They weren't that busy. We stopped our server again and asked for our drinks before our dinner would arrive. She flat out, told us there is nothing that she can do about getting our drinks. She said that I'll serve her didn't make them yet. And then she asked if we wanted to speak to a manager. And it wasn't like she was asking being concerned that we need to help. Her attitude when asked that question was more for you can get then and they wouldn't be able to help you either. So I said yes. Time now is 5:45pm And here comes the manager to the table with our food. I explained to the manager that we have been sitting there for forty one minute and I have not received my beer. At this point we've eaten our appetizer and about ten bark on our entree. I explained to him the whole situation along with Our servers attitude and he said give him a minute and you take care of that. The drinks finally arrived. As I go to bite into my Black Bean Burger, I take a bite and swallow and then realize that I was eating chicken. I am a pescatarian and don't eat meat and I just swallowed a piece of chicken. Call the manager back over there to tell him what just tapped. And he picks up the plate and looks at the plate lije something was wrong with it. I had to tell him is chicken not a black bean burger. So he proceeds to go to the back fixing me what I ordered. Not one apology from the manager or the server. Not only did I get my drink forty one minute into entering the restaurant, But you gave me the wrong item that I ordeand didn't apologize they're concern. When the waitress came over, she didn't even do a quality check to make sure I was okay. She said do you want separate checks I put it all on one. They actually made me pay for this meal. That was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had at any restaurant. Need I tell you I am never going back there again. For the first time in my life, I left her no tip. It wasn't deserving. The food was edible, but thats about it and when I don't take chicken strips home that's a bad sign! The waitress had a bad attitude from the beginning kinda like she just hated her job or maybe just thought she was at home instead of at work. When she took the money from my husband with the check, she snatched it out of his hand & that was really rude, he was so upset he didn't leave any tip & he doesn't do that unless its warranted! Her behavior was just atrocious & I don't think its an Alabama thing cause we ate somewhere else where the staff was great, so I feel it was just her personally hating her job & thats a shame that customers, especially visitors from another state have to be subjected to such treatment when just trying to have a nice meal when visiting a new state. The nachos were average, not sure if it was the corn salsa stuff they had on it, not horrible, but could have been better with more meat. Not a lot of goodness to report... Bar tender was nice. This review is about the take out. While I have walked through to pick up my food, I have never actually eaten inside. I order on the app with a specified time, usually and hour or so ahead. Each time my food was ready and still warm. The burgers are excellent as are the fries. I wish the food was less wrapped in plastic.
