We can now take Moose off leash comfortably knowing she will come when called, sit and stay even in busy environments. I feel like we are happier humans and she is a happier dog thanks to Sam's help. The training style used was also based on rewarding Moose with play rather than food or negative reinforcement, which I really appreciate and didn't know much about before. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Highly recommend Dog Wizard and Sam!

Probably my highest review ever for a service I haven't used yet. hear me out…read more I just rescued a Rat Terrier puppy called Raffi from Texas, who showed signs of abuse and trauma upon arrival. I've parented/known many rescues in the past and never seen anything like the fear she exhibited. fully freaked out, I shot a message to Atlanta Dog Wizard with an SOS to help. Kat quickly got in touch and we had about a 30-min call, which provided me with INVALUABLE insight into my urgent situation. That information she gave me--keep in mind, I had paid no money for her advice or training to this point--gave me some practices I could use, right away, to make Raffi feel more comfortable. I still might officially use Atlanta Dog Wizard in the future, if Kat is any indication how the company does things. She has a passion for rescues and turning around challenging situations and making dogs (and humans) shine. Cannot recommend highly enough.

His training was fear based and did not help with either problem. A year later my large dog started attacking my smaller dog. Reached out to Mike, He came by and had me buy a muzzle from him and told me to keep it on her. No plan other than that. We had a facetime call a week later. Still no plan. A week later when muzzle was removed, she attacked my smaller dog and seriously injured him. Tried to contact Mike and he ghosted me stating he didn't know me. I had to put my large dog down and the injuries to my small dog was over $3,000. I contacted the Bark Buster's corporate office and they responded with an apology. I asked for a refund since I felt like the training was an epic fail. I used all of their ridiculous BAH... techniques and it was a bust. They also ghosted me.....DO NOT USE THEM! ***LONG REVIEW BUT WORTH THE READ***…read more This is my sweet, rowdy, rambunctious, and very demanding pup Rhodi! As a first time puppy owner, I just wanted to keep her happy. I let her get away with a lot! I quickly realized that I was not in charge of her but she was in charge of me. What I thought was being sweet was in Rhodi's mind "I can do whatever I want because I won't be punished for it." She would chew any object she could find, bark at me constantly when I wasn't doing what she wanted, would not listen to me when I would call her name, jumped on me and other people, tried to escape out the front door, and peed in the house. I watched videos upon videos but nothing helped! I was doing research on dog trainers and the first thing I thought was "this is so overpriced!" As a young college student with a rowdy dog, I was determined to find the best price with the most qualified trainer and I did! Bark Busters and specifically Cody are the best thing I could have done for both me and Rhodi. I was really nervous about having someone in my home "telling" me how to train my dog, but Cody TAUGHT me. If there was something I was struggling with, like leash training, he showed me an alternative way for me to get her to listen to me. The thought in my mind was "wow, he's not making me do it this way because it's the right way, but he found me a way that was Rhodi's right way I could do confidently." Cody was validating my feelings about not wanting to hurt Rhodi's feelings and continued to talk to me about ways that would not harm my dog or hurt her feelings. Simply being able to "talk" to Rhodi in a way she could understand that I was in charge and that she would still be safe and okay was the goal. In a matter of 2 hours Rhodi was trained! Cody did his job and now it's my turn to do mine with her by following through with the keys to success only Cody could have given to me.

You know those people who ran out and got dogs during COVID because they were working from home and…read morecould spend so much time with them? Yeah, we got two of them. First a puppy, and then when he was 9 months old a second rescue dog who was about 2.5. We had (naïve) dreams of the dogs cuddling for naps and playing quietly together out back as we WFH. The reality was far more frightening. The two dogs fought (and by this, I mean actual angry dog fights, it was scary) if a new toy was introduced, if food was accidentally dropped or if we would pet one but not the other. They barked incessantly at every delivery person, runner/walker, dog and cat on our street. We were at our wits end with 3 young kids and two dogs that were out of control. That's when I reached out to Shavon (goes by "Blue"). After reading other reviews, I decided if he couldn't help us, no one could. He changed it all. He recommended an 8-week at-home training. Plus, he took our 2.5 year old dog for a more intense 10-day training at his house, but brought her back periodically to continue to train the two dogs together. The dogs transformed. Actually, Blue transformed my husband and I as we were the real issue. His experience as a trainer was on full display and through his guidance we learned essential new skills including how to properly walk dogs, give authoritative commands, correct them when they pull, bark or growl and generally take control of our pups. We learned to read their body language and cues to avert aggression before it happens. Blue showed us how to set limits and boundaries so the dogs fit into our life, rather than letting our life revolve around the dogs. We completed all our training and are amazed at the results. We now have two well behaved dogs that listen, obey and quietly co-exist as we WFH. If you want the best results, training with Blue is certainly an investment of your time, patience, ego and money but it is well worth it to have dogs who make life joyful and fun (not stressful and chatoic). We hope to have these pups for the next 12+ years and believe the effort and money we spent on training will serve us well for years to come. Call Blue today, you won't regret it!!!

In September of 2020, I lost my super sweet Suzie to bone cancer. I was devastated. I kept asking…read moreto adopt a dog, however my husband always answered with a no. Then in May of 2021, he relented, and we began the hunt for a dog. We found Maggie in the animal shelter. She and her sister were COVID puppies who had been surrendered. We were told Maggie didn't get along with other dogs, had heart worms, aggressive towards people, and food aggressive, but I loved her at first sight, and I adopted believing I could change her. We worked out the food aggression and got her use to being around our dogs. The heart worm treatment was successful. Maggie and I were meant for each other, but.... Maggie was aggressive towards other people, animals, and sometimes our other dogs. She would go after my son-in-law whenever he came to town, and as much as I love dogs, people always come first. Dog trainers said I needed someone that dealt with fear aggressive dogs. That when I was referred to Lorenzo's Dog Training. Blue became our trainer. It was hard letting Maggie leave home for a month because she is my support for my PTSD and helps calms me down. However, I saw Maggie transform each week. She became even more loving as she became less afraid and trusted us to keep her safe. Blue was working magic with her. As he trained us to work with her, I was able to walk with her an not worry about falling over. Maggie stopped barking at every noise. She is much calmer and follows commands most times (we are still in at home training, but will get there). Blue is an amazing trainer, and I feel blessed that he came into Maggie's and my life. I saved her life, she saved mine, and Blue has saved us both. Thank you Blue!

They also saw we needed some extra help because our boy is high energy and had some behavior issues so they gave that to us. Not only did we work in our home but also took trips to parks and Lowe's to work on behavior. We recently joined in our first pack walk, which is included upon graduation. We were so proud of our "Brock". Several months ago we wouldn't have been able to do this. We still train everyday to keep up his lessons. A very special thank you to Morgan who was our one on one trainer every week. She was so knowledgeable and fantastic, as were Alyssa, Olivia and Kaylee who have also helped. That did not work out at all. Whenever we asked to pause, we were charged anyway. Some days, they would charge us for a day a la carte even though we were using our membership! It was so hard to get refunded. If they verbally offer you "credits" don't take it- it doesn't seem notated in the system and then everyone looks like you like you're crazy if you claim to have credit on your account from an extra previous charge. Finally, canceling was difficult. It seems the main form of communication here is post-it notes the staff leave for Jay, which never really works. The rest of the staff seems either powerless to do anything or doesn't know what's going on. It's a shame because our dog did enjoy Dogtopia most of the time! FYI, Doguroo nearby has fantastic communication- they always pick up the phone when you call and everyone knows what's going on. (Plus, it's cheaper than Dogtopia, at least if you do the packs which never expire).

Never had a bad experience here until I ended my membership here. Not only did they continue to deduct my membership but I had to send emails over and over to get refunded. The final straw was this last mistaken charge for his membership. They deactivated my dog's membership and refunded however the refund did not go to any particular card. I have offered several forms of proof and have even offered to have someone from my financial institute call them to discuss charges. My money is just out there somewhere and all they can do is say oh well and ignore me. That is so wrong!! I have reached out to this location, their general manager and their corporate company and it's crickets. It's been going on almost a month. I will never recommend Dogtopia to anyone unless you have indispensable income to throw away.

I dropped my dog off at 8:30, and was greeted by Nicole another person at the front desk. The groomer, Alarria, hadn't arrived yet. When I dropped him off I asked them to check and see if he was excessively matted in any areas so that I could try to get any of the matting out and also so I knew what to expect. They called the groomer and described what was going on and let me know that she said she could handle it , I even brought them the specific shampoo the groomer recommended for detangling. The groomer texted me at 10 and said " Hey This is Alarria from The Pet Set , So I've examined Hendrix and todays total is going to be $235 . $135 for the bath, services , and haircut . $100 for the dematting process". I said ok sounds good. At 1:30 she texted me letting me know his belly and sides of face needed to be shaven due to matting. I said ok, and said I just want it to look appropriate. I just didn't want it to look bad. At 5:30 I texted and asked if she was still grooming him and she said yes. And then at 6 PM she texted me this "Hey so , After working on getting off all the Matts safety off it took a lot more work than originally expected. I had to get other groomers to help me hold and demat him through the whole service so he wouldn't move and so we were able to get him finished in a timely manner. With that being said today his price would be $285 . Payments today will be made Via Cash , Cashapp , Zelle , and / or Venmo ." I'm not sure what she meant by getting him done in a timely manner because he had been there for 10 hours. And she was trying to charge me and additional $50 on top of the initial $100 dematting fee. She was still working on his face when I arrived and you could tell she was rushing. She also told me that I was going to have to put in work to get the Matts out of his face which but I had agreed to having it shaved down. So she went back and shaved it down. Even after him being there for 10 hours you can tell parts of his cut was rushed. His ears are uneven and the hair around his privates is not cut properly. I expressed my concern with her charging me an additional $50 on top of the fees I already agreed to and she got mad and said I'm always difficult and that she refuses to ever groom my dog again. This was my second time coming. I never got upset and remained calm although her attitude was really bad. They also told me I could only pay via Zelle or cash app directly to Alerria which I thought was weird but I paid the initial agreed upon amount of $235. I think the should have set dematting prices on their website and they should also limit the number of dogs they take at a time so that there isn't such a lengthy wait to get your dog back and they can pay more attention to the details of their work. I would have liked to of spoken with the owner or a manager but maybe after writing this review someone will reach out.

We arrived for our 9AM grooming appointment. We were told that typically grooms take 4-5 hour window and we have 1 hour to pick up after the dog is done. Customer service was friendly and really knowledgeable. I got a text at around 11.30AM that my dog was done. He looked fine at first glance at the store but after getting him home we noticed a few things. He has a razor burn near the private area that is still irritated a couple days later. There is a patch of a bald spot towards the back of his private area that (from walking behind him) makes him appear as if he has two butts. Lastly the cut on the face was really close and not carefully done. This is evident in that his eye lashes were also cut and uneven. Unfortunate that we didn't have the same experience as everyone else. I didn't catch the name of the groomer since I heard everyone is pretty good. For reference I have a poodle mix and maybe that's not a common cut here. This review is only for the grooming service. The store front people were really nice and I could see this being a good store otherwise.
