I had no experience whatsoever but Avital posed me from my eyelashes down to my toes with such positive encouragement & energy! I had started my search with my upcoming birthday approaching & due to the world crisis / pandemic lockdown this year I knew I wouldn't be traveling or celebrating at gatherings, however I had just undergone a lot of spiritual & physical growth in the last few months because of these changes so I decided a photography shoot "might" be a nice present to myself... as well as to remember my last year in my 30's. Avital was the first of a few of my inquiries to call me back & as soon as we spoke I knew I had to look no further. We discussed all my questions & any concerns I had, & she instantly put all my worries to ease. The next few days I spent exploring what kind of sensual outfits I would like to wear & the kind of looks I would like to achieve for her to capture. We were in constant contact the next few days as she created my idea board & brought it all to life. She had also coordinated her best hair & makeup artist for me to make sure it was extra special. On the day of my shoot I felt so comfortable as I was greeted with thrill & warmth by both of them. As I was getting dolled up, Avital immediately began coordinating the outfits I brought with her own visions as well as incorporating my own thoughts, & I must say it turned out magical! I would have never envisioned half of what was actually produced. Once we started shooting, I felt her high energy come alive on set & it really worked wonders to motivate me & give my all to it. I felt beautiful, sensual, sexy, soft, excited, happy, all at one time! All the things that sometimes we forget are there in our busy lives. Avital had a true passion & eye for detail and beauty that cannot be compared! I left that day feeling so intense that I couldn't even describe it in words & this is why I strongly encourage anyone with any doubts to just do it! On the day of my final photo reveal I think she was just as excited as me, if not even more excited for how fierce the photos came out. The hardest part of the process was actually narrowing down the ones I wanted to keep. A few days later, my order was personally delivered to me & I was blown away by the beautiful packaging & detail of the entire presentation from the gift bag to the wrapping, the gorgeous prints & customized USB drive, the quality of it all was absolutely top notch. It looked so classy & elegant which was basically the theme of the entire experience. To top it off she had even added a bonus gift for me, so I cannot say enough about how from start to finish the experience was just mind blowing. If you have any reservations about your body or body type: On the day of my photo shoot I was 151lbs (which is an all time low for me in the last 20 years) Height 5'3", Bust 38.5", Waist 30", Hips 41" and what it tells me is you don't ever need to be perfect, ladies, you do not need the thinnest waistline or to be light as a feather, but you can feel perfect in your own way. This photo shoot captured a time in my life that I will forever hold very near & dear to my heart because of how much I learned about life & about myself & about what really matters when all is said & done. For me this was not a reinforcement of being sexy, But rather a huge reminder of the strength of a woman. The power of the mind is simply astounding to say the least. This was something totally out of my comfort zone as I am and always have been very self conscious of my body but it was a great opportunity to try and overcome that while providing my husband with a unique and special gift. Once I got in the room with Irina I felt good, still self conscious but she was so sweet and accommodating that I trusted her completely. She could tell how nervous I was so we kept it simple but by the end (with the help of Sade on the iPod) I felt like a goddess! We ended up with the most gorgeous, tastefully sexy photos, they were better then I could've hoped for. Irina has such a great vibe, she is so warm and so professional, she can make anyone feel at ease. This is something I think every woman should do at least once in their lives. It is located on the 11th floor, and you'll need to be buzzed up. Michelle and her assistant (?) greeted me at the door with a smile and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. I was seated on a large couch and we were ready to begin. Michelle has a number of props to use, and seems to focus on natural lighting (which is probably the best in my unprofessional opinion.) There are several widows lining the studio with a white sheer curtain which sets the backdrop for several of the photos. In addition to this, she has really big expensive lights that she does some pro-looking photographer stuff with. The thing that comes to mind is those Cover Girl commercials where they're doing a photo shoot (duh Michael.) There are also different pattern backdrops and small props such as crazy stripper high-as-hell heels and other cool stuff. Michelle and her assistant will combine their artistic vision + experience with your desires and vision. We saw the untouched up photos today and were happy with several of them. I will try to remember to update this review once I see the three touched up photos, but will probably forget.

We found her portfolio online, and loved her editing style, so we set up a FaceTime. In our first call, she worked to understand our personalities and goals for the final product. It was immediately clear to us that we wanted her for our wedding. From then on, she demonstrated great communication which made the whole planning process simple, straight forward, and easy to execute for my wife and I. The moment she arrived on site with her team, they got to work and made us feel safe on our wedding day. Personally, I feel that taking photos can feel awkward under pressure, but Ting Yi completely relieved that pressure and made sure we got the perfect shots. During the bride-groom sessions she always created a comfortable, fun, natural environment. During group photos she made sure to keep everyone in check, which we told her was important for us considering we have a big family with certain people that don't play nice. For the videos, we loved the 1min trailer, 5min highlight, and documentary video. They brought a drone which got super cool shots, they had us mic'd up for important moments, and edited the final products to tell a beautiful story that lets us remember some of our favorite moments forever. But for a few hours on a tuesday afternoon, it was! I found Sophie's website and immediately thought "I MUST DO THIS". I needed some professional photos for my website and things anyway, so it was the perfect excuse. Do you associate pin up with avant-garde jazz? No, but Sophie created pictures that were appropriate for all occasions but still had a definite pin up flavor. The shoot itself was amazing. I felt so comfortable, which for me is a huge deal (camera + stranger + low self esteem = disaster). Sophie is really gifted as a photographer and makeup artiste, and to top it off, she's probably the nicest person ever. I'm a scientist by trade, and analytical thinker, so I knew I needed collaborative help with a artistic mind to bring my project into fruition. I got lucky... I discovered a "Diamond In The Rough" in Bushwick Brooklyn through a referral. It was Iris, a photographer who sat with me for about 20 minutes before the shoot, getting to know me and my vision. The time we spent together chatting, built a sense of trust, she knew what I wanted from the photo session. We came up with ideas we both could agree upon. I knew my ask was unusual. I had a horrific past 6 years, back-to-back trauma. I loathe having my picture taken. I never know what to do with my body or face or anything, so self conscious. I hurt my face. Had 10 stiches a couple of weeks prior and I wanted to show all of that, I didn't want to hide anything. I wanted to express an authentic me. Scars and all. My candids are the best usually when I'm not "trying.. I don't wear makeup. I'm simplistic . But she displayed me as simply beautiful. She made me feel beautiful. I love entirely how she has a great listening ear, she makes you feel heard, yet she pushes to get the best out of you. She set the right tone with simple props, with the Wardrobe I chose to wear, to communicate my message. Her skills captured me in a way that I couldn't have done without her. And I could tell she enjoyed the collaborative process. I received professional feedback from my artsy friends and family ,, they all agreed she "nailed it". The experience was exhilarating, but physically exhausting. she choreographed artistic poses, and personally demonstrated them, poses I didn't think my body could handle, I was sore for two days LOL, !
