Unfortunately this location has been a problem for quite a while. Every time I come here there's always something with the employees that so unprofessional. I get it, it's a comic book store in a mall, but the people that they have working here believe this is their personal hangout.. As for comic selection, this is basically a Marvel and DC shop. You'll have a tough time finding anything independent. - Completely inappropriate music playing sometimes. - When there's more than one person working they basically are loud and goofing off. - No active help from employees. You have to walk up to the counter and get a passive aggressive response. This isn't the Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop so stop acting like it is. - Various activist and virtue signaling posters. This is a business, not a Jr. college library. Are the owners aware of this? - This is multiple times, not just one "bad day". Owners- I like comics because of escapism. There needs to be more oversight / training at this location.

Master collection, and still always getting new high quality products in every week. But my favorite part about this store are the owners, Josh and Kayla, a beautiful couple with amazing hospitality and great sense of humor. Radiant people. For a book whose spine is parting? Missing pages? C'mon. Don't even bother looking at most of what they call "Vintage" books. They ask a king's ransom for them. I found paperback after paperback that was priced at over $20 each... for a book barely 50 years old and a cover price of $1.50. Outlandish. I actually performed a reality check and went to Ebay to check on 7 or 8 of those titles. In each case the books sold for much less on Ebay than Helen is asking. They most definitely need to adjust their pricing schema. It's not like they're paying rent in downtown La Jolla for goodness sake. I was originally, upon walking in, going to say their large, diverse selection is a strength. Now I understand it's simply a function of them not selling their books at a good turnover rate at all... consequently, their stock piles up. Shame.

This is primarily because my daughter loved going in here. Today was no different, I took my 7yr old daughter in. Almost immediately I noticed that they had a "Gaston" comic book which is a feature that focus' on Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. I so, ph that's cool and the guy behind the counter (the owner of the shop) stated that that Disney is doing a series on Villains. I thought that was an interesting perspective because a hunter protecting his town from a beast doesn't seem like a villain to me. Whoa, this guy got triggered. He became upset/irate and proceeded to tell me how wrong I am for having that perspective. The more I tried to engage him the more emotional and upset he became. He began to get so upset that became concerned about what my 7yr old daughter was witnessing. I stated that I was fine to have a conversation with him but I didn't appreciate being yelled at and talked over. He became more upset and I though it best to cut our shopping short and leave. On our way out, he thought it important to get the last word in and yelled "don't come back!" Well, my daughter became upset and cried her eyes out. The whole thing was traumatic for my kiddo and appalling for me. I can't imagine ever treating someone like he treated us, without any concern for my daughter and our business. I would suggest staying away from this place and the owner seems unstable.

They have multiple locations and each one is packed with fun and interesting stuff. They have everything a comic fan would want. Comics, trades, shirts, figures, statues, etc. Problem is each store is just unorganized with memorabilia all over the place. It's hard to find things and stuff is out of order. There isn't a logical layout. The other thing that bugs me is pricing on stuff is just inconsistent or wrong. I understand marking things up for the person who might not be familiar, but you are only hurting your store in the process because like most retail shops people will just opt to buy it cheaper online(or find it for less at a different place in the mall). Also, there is dust everywhere. I'm sympathetic that they probably don't have the staff to keep everything tight and that the store can look disheveled due to all the foot traffic, but show that you care! They moved to a smaller location in the mall and the store does look better than it did, but the fact that Ninja Exchange is right next store and is wildly popular on the weekends should make Comics-N-Stuff take a long look in the mirror. They could be getting a lot of the Ninja Exchange people Monday-Thursday if they capitalized. Running a business, let alone a comic shop, is difficult in this day n age. I will stop in to try to support every now and then, but it is hard when you get the sense that the love isn't there.

Who ever worked 6/10/2026 this morning either didn't get enough sleep or hates his life. I called to ask if a certain variant cover for a new issue was in stock and he gave me the NASTIEST attitude, I was in complete shock. It wasn't what he said it's HOW he said it. As if I was an inconvenience, a customer? Maybe he was overwhelmed since there was 7 customers in the store like he stated but again he could've had way better attitude I mean it is 10AM lively up!
