I don't know how I never realized that was a new book store where it used to be another generic boutique. Well, welcome culture, we love books for everyone. Specially if the aisles are so well organized. Camino Books looks a bit like a book store meets small library meets gift shop. Charming and perfect location.

Such a cute bookstore! The space is clean, well-organized, and has comfortable seating where you can sit and read. They have a great selection of books along with greeting cards, calendars, bookmarks, and other fun finds. I also loved that they offer complimentary gift wrapping and do it so nicely. A wonderful spot to browse and relax.

Stop #1 on our San Diego Bookstore Crawl!! This place is AWESOME! It has all the genres here and on the shelf, and staff recommendations are included as well. It was crazy-stupid busy yesterday due to the Independent Bookstore weekend, but their staff handled it with ease and kindness. There is a delightful place to grab some pastries in the same mall as the bookstore, so you can TOTALLY make a day out of coming this way. Respectfully Reviewed.

Del Mar plaza recently welcomed Camino Books, its now located on the ground level next to An's Hatmakers Gelato. I recently stopped by to check it out this charming little book store. The store is well lit and has nice welcoming atmosphere. There is a well curated kids books section with a few seats as well at selection of current popular fiction and non-fiction books. Looking forward to coming back here again and attending a book event or just getting a new read for myself or a birthday gift for someone. I'm glad to have a neighborhood bookstore here in del mar where i can support a local business.

Cute but very small bookstore. It seems aimed exclusively at children and yet we didn't find our favorite classic board books

Books, stationery, jewelry, greeting cards, gifts, games, unique party supplies, toys, etc. you can literally spend hours in here. The unique gift ideas are great for people who are hard to find something for. The store is huge and the staff are very helpful. This store is also very dog friendly.

Aside from books, this is one of the best places to shop for stationery and gifts in SD. I've found…read moremany cute gems here over the years, from page flags and stickers to journals and cute lil knick knacks. Admittedly, I usually stop by for everything but their books as that's usually what piques my interest at Warwick's. I've discovered so many cute stationery brands that I've never even heard of, like Girl of All Work's Page Flags and more recently, L'après-midi Travel Journals! The shop is divided into 2 halves. One side carries art/decor and jewelry made by local artists in glass displays, and as you walk further in, you'll see an extensive selection of greeting cards, notebooks, and fountain pens in glass cases. They also carry gift wrapping supplies and assorted bags. The other side carries books and has a cute children's section with plushies, including Jellycats! I do have to say, the service is not always consistent. Some of the employees definitely profile you upon entering, but there are respectable employees that are genuinely eager to help you find what you're looking for! As a local, whenever I'm unable to find something in-stores, an employee happily offers to take down my info so that they can contact me if the item arrives in-stores at some point, which I greatly appreciate. From my experience, the pricing for the stationery is fair, in fact, for some of the items that I've purchased, Warwick's prices are actually lower than what you'd find online. The L'après-midi Travel Journals retail for $18 online from the brand's exclusive US distributor, but Warwick's prices the journals at $13.95! Similarly, the Girl of All Work Page Flags retail for $7 on the brand's website, but at Warwick's, it's $5.99. Parking can be difficult if you're trying to park directly in front of the store or on the main street, but if you drive around a bit, you're likely to find a spot within a reasonable walking distance. All in all, Warwick's remains as a fun shopping destination. If you're anything like me, you'll walk in with no intention to get anything, but will walk out with a shopping bag in hand. :)

CT is by far the only teacher supply store with a good stock of materials for my students. They are also the only store I've found in North County San Diego that has grade appropriate materials for my grade levels. HOWEVER, they're hours are terrible as they are closed on weekends...the only days I can shop! During the week I am in my classroom until 4:30ish and with my own children/family to tend to, I can't make it before closing. I also live about 30 minutes away. Not very convenient for the typical teacher. Also, they're website rarely works and they're phone system tends to be down (I think it's a cell phone?? So it does a ringback tone and sometimes disconnects) I grew up going to Creative Teaching Supplies as a child looking for educational materials and was saddened when they moved to a smaller location (town center owner is terrible...screwed over many small companies in this shopping center). I was hopeful when I became a teacher 9 years ago that I'd be able to use Creative Teaching Supplies/Critical Thinkers for all of my educational needs, but the smaller location, terrible hours, and difficulty accessing the website has been very discouraging. I'm not giving up on them yet as they truly are a great teacher supplier (for ALL grade levels...unlike Lakeshore) and there really are no other stores like them in North County. However, I'm nervous they'll close their doors because of their out-of-the-way location, terrible hours, and unpredictable website/phone. I've had to rely on online ordering a lot lately because I can't get to Critical Thinkers and there are no other suppliers out there for my grade level. I hope things change soon! I love the owner and the staff! I'm hopeful things will pick up as the economy improves...

Anyway, we had planned a weekend trip to Carlsbad and searched for used bookstores in the area and Farenheit came up. So glad we stopped in and were able to walk out with a few books. If you and anyone know of a space in Carlsbad Village, please contact the store owner Philip. He and this community deserve to have a bookstore. We are never too old or too young to learn. Grab a book and enjoy a good read! Lookout for the bargain books! And I loved the music played during our shopping experience, French jazz, which set the mood for our lunch in a local French cafe. This is a small shop but they've probably got something that will catch your interest. I bought a fat history book (no, not a book about the history of fatties, come on, now) for 1/3rd the normal price. And it is in perfect condition. I also appreciated the notes throughout the store encouraging the reading of banned books. Seems an appropriate message given the name of the bookshop. Plenty of free street parking in the area.
