She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

Unbeknownst to the previous owners of my property, the inverter was completely shot and did not have monitoring capability. They processed the RMA for my SolarEdge inverter, installed it once it was here, and also gave me access to SolarEdge monitoring once that was completed. I cannot say enough good things about Source Solar. We just finished our first year of using the…read morepanels they installed in the summer of 2019 and everything has worked as advertised and then some. Ryan and Josh were so professional, efficient (from delivery of the panels to our garage to final installation was 3 days). We have a tiled roof type that makes installation difficult without damaging the tiles, and as a result many companies wouldn't even bid on the project. Their pricing was fair and their system for protecting the tiles worked great. Only a few tiles were broken in the process, and they not only fixed those but also fixed a few others that were broken but not by them. We were connected with Source Solar through an independent sales person. The design and software allowed us to very precisely see the cost of a design and the energy production. It has been very accurate and we ended up almost exactly using what we produced (we produced a little bit extra but also charged our car less during Covid). The monitoring app they installed has functioned perfectly and we are actually hooked on watching our daily intake and lamenting any passing clouds that affect our production. One time we noticed that a single panel seemed to be producing less than the ones around it. Although we weren't sure if it was just caused the the neighbor's chimney shadowing that panel more than the surrounding ones, they were out within a few days and swapped it out for a new one. Sure enough, the new one had better production. We are newbies to the world of solar energy, and they very patiently answered all our questions about the time-of-use energy plan, yearly billing, production and use estimates, the monitoring app, etc. We highly, highly recommend these brothers and would give them 6 stars if we could. Shaun was so incredibly thorough, honest (there were points where he told me that because of my super low energy costs in Azusa, the system really wasn't necessary) and over-communicated throughout the process. I've recommended him to family in the area. Big fan. I ended up moving to it honestly because I wanted the future equity addition to the home and...because I thought it was badass to have solar :) We had issues with my HOA and the city of Azusa (confusion on their ends) and his team handled the months of back and forth with ease and grace. Financing was a breeze through their credit union partner and the additional cost of having to upgrade my electrical panel was included in my loan. Incredibly happy and satisfied!

They installed a high-quality system that has performed extremely well over the years. At one point, both of our inverters experienced a manufacturer-related issue. In fact, Solar Optimum identified the problem before we even realized something was wrong. They worked directly with the manufacturer to secure a replacement inverter at no cost and handled the installation quickly and professionally. When it came time to replace our roof, we didn't hesitate to reach out to Solar Optimum again. Their GAF Master Elite certification and the advantages of having the same company manage both the solar and roofing work provided tremendous peace of mind. The warranty benefits are excellent, and the roofing warranty is transferable, which adds real value and is something many roofing companies do not offer. Per phone call with Eddie Rodriguez, it was…read moremade clear that I wanted to have it installed by end of year in order to qualify for the tax credit before it expired. A lot of time passed by without hearing back. Then I was told the solar panels that I had agreed to are no longer available. They replaced them with cheaper options. Later on, they said the replacements were no longer available and switched them again to a cheaper option. I received an email on 10/28/25 saying the solar panels are ready for installation. Then I didn't receive an update until 12/10/25 asking for information that I had already confirmed via phone call, the clearance from solar panels as well as the panels being permitted. Then I received an email on 12/23/25 asking for this confirmation again. I sent a follow up, and did not hear back from Eddie until 12/27/25. He gave me a call and told me that Solar Optimum is unable to complete the installation by the end of the year, making me ineligible for the tax credit. He suggested claiming the system was installed/invoiced in my taxes, which is tax fraud as the tax credit makes it explicitly clear that it needs to be installed and powered by 12/31/25. On Dec 30th, he said he would update me within 2 weeks. 2 weeks elapsed and no update was given. At the end of my experience with Solar Optimum, I was took a loan that was no longer needed which ran my credit which has negative implications for my credit score. I also missed out on thousands in tax credit as well as future long term savings. There was misrepresentation regarding what the company had to offer and so far the company has not offered any option to rectify the situation. Will never do business with this company and strongly advise against using their services. The only option remaining is if they are able to discount the panels by the amount of tax credit I have missed out on, which will be my desired resolution requested.
