She comes across as a nice person, but can be sweetly condescending and should not be representing criminal matters. She does not explain potentials and possible outcomes well. She vacillates between being extremely aggressive in her approach just to be a no show on court dates, dragging out a case for months that could have been very simple just to work around a schedule of her liking. She will land you on probation while telling you she will have your case dismissed. I'm writing this in good faith, I do not want anyone else to end up with the outcome that I did. She will bill aggressively and to this date, I do not have all of my paperwork. Even the judge in the matter was very frustrated with her and made notes in case files about her absences and overall behavior. The judge asked why I didn't just represent myself after she no showed twice. I was offered me a decent deal and when she finally answered the phone while I'm in court without Katie, Katie said don't take it. It would have been better if she had properly rescheduled so that she could have told the judge herself. Now the charge is on the internet and had it been handled well, it wouldn't have received any attention. Please believe this review. It's over for me, reputation to be rebuilt, but it doesn't have to be for you if you're considering legal counsel. Georgia is a very cruel state to the accused and I'm truly concerned about anyone engaging her as their attorney, even for simple, non violent matters. I would be terrified to think of what could happen to someone charged with something very serious considering her inept representation. Please, please look elsewhere and find someone responsible that won't invalidate and gaslight the legitimacy of her stand ups and reckless actions. I'm finally at peace with the situation but must do my part to inform the public. I'm also not interested in a response from her saying this is fake and she has no idea about this. This is a true review, I would not lie publicly about an attorney. Also, keep in mind, Jay Abt at Abt law is extremely aggressive and on platforms if he knows your identity he will violate attorney ethics and start posting information about your case online as retaliation.

Long story short 10 days before the first actual court hearing after additional delays by opposing counsel, Charles firm decides to drop the case and left me high and dry. Now my case was Dismissed because I failed to appear. I live in California and did not receive the proper notice to be able to travel. Don't waste your time on this money grabber firm, the only reason, in my opinion, was my case was abandoned by McAleer was because it didn't have enough $$$$$$$$ signs. I contact them and Mrs. Chinny is assigned to me, I guess, because that's who I'm talking to about my case. I'm pretty detailed, and even have a record of the events. She seems very nice and concerned - and seems to want to represent me. So eventually they send me the agreement and I fill it out and send it back. Afterwards we have a few more communications and then nothing. I send her updates and she tells me to deal with "Gail", she will be out until the 5th of February. Here I am thinking I'm being represented. I told her I needed someone with legal expertise to supervise and keep eyes on the situation - but the next time I write her Gail sends me a "reminder" that they decided not to represent me. I give them the benefit of the doubt about that because I did miss that email from Gail about a week before. Much after the agreement package was received, and we were communicating as if Chinny was representing me. Now, it is their preogative to quit a case. But it was very cold to do it without telling me why, without giving me a call, and then cutting me off after - Chinny won't even answer the phone. It would help me to know why they dumped my case, so I can get better results from another attorney. As nice a bedside manner they had at first, I am now feeling they just wanted that agreement so they can get free money from any real representative I might hire, even though they didn't do doodle squat for me. I don't think they ever even bothered to talk to the insurance company. I'm looking into this further. If I find they didn't do any work on my case and are just sitting back waiting for a check, I'll have me a little chat with the Workers Comp board and the state Bar about my lack of experience with them...
