I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with Badger Luxe Cleaning was extremely disappointing from start to finish. I booked and paid $585 for a Deep Cleaning service. Before the appointment, I clearly informed the company in writing that the home was fully furnished, occupied, and that we have small children and dogs living in the house. The company acknowledged this information and confirmed the appointment. Despite having this information beforehand, when the cleaning crew arrived they initially stated that they could not properly perform the service because the house was furnished and occupied. This created an uncomfortable situation from the very beginning and was particularly frustrating because the company had already been informed of these details in advance and had confirmed the booking. After discussions, the company decided to proceed with the service. Unfortunately, the quality of the work performed did not reflect the Deep Cleaning package that was advertised, sold, and paid for. According to the company's own Deep Cleaning Checklist, the service included: * Cleaning inside the refrigerator, microwave, and oven * Cleaning interior windows * Cleaning inside and outside of cabinets and drawers * Cleaning tubs and showers * Cleaning mirrors and glass surfaces * Dusting light fixtures * Dusting shutters and blinds * Dusting all surfaces * Cleaning baseboards * Spot-cleaning walls and doors * Detailed cleaning throughout the home Many of these items were either not completed at all or were completed at a very superficial level. Examples include: * The refrigerator was not cleaned internally despite being specifically listed in the Deep Cleaning Checklist. * Interior windows were not cleaned. * Cabinets and drawers were not cleaned internally. * Bathroom trash bins were not emptied and sanitized. * Decorative items and personal items were not moved in order to properly dust and clean underneath them. * Shower glass and bathroom surfaces were left with visible residue and spotting. * Multiple surfaces still required additional cleaning after the crew left. * Several fixtures, accessible surfaces, and details included in the Deep Cleaning package appeared untouched. The most frustrating part is that this was not a severely dirty home requiring extraordinary work. This is a family home that is actively lived in and maintained. We specifically hired a Deep Cleaning service because we wanted a professional, detailed cleaning beyond normal day-to-day maintenance. Unfortunately, that is not what was delivered. Another concern was the use of strong-smelling cleaning products. Prior to the appointment, I specifically discussed the fact that we have small children and pets in the home. Based on those conversations, I expected cleaning products that would be appropriate for a family environment. Instead, strong chemical odors were used, creating additional discomfort for our household. However, the most disappointing aspect of the entire experience was how my complaint was handled afterward. When I contacted the company to discuss the issues with the service, management chose to involve the cleaning crew directly in the dispute while the complaint was still being discussed. Rather than conducting an internal review and addressing my concerns professionally through management, I found myself in a situation where the cleaning crew was effectively being questioned about each concern as I raised it. I found this approach highly inappropriate and unprofessional. The cleaning crew had been inside my home, knew my address, had seen my children, my pets, my vehicles, and had direct access to my family's private living environment. Being placed in the middle of an ongoing dispute involving individuals who had already been inside my home created significant discomfort and concern. Regardless of intent, this handling of the complaint left me feeling exposed rather than protected as a customer. A customer should be able to provide honest feedback without feeling that they are being placed in direct conflict with employees who have had access to their home and personal environment. To the company's credit, a 50% refund was eventually issued. I appreciate that acknowledgment because it demonstrates that the company recognized there were legitimate concerns regarding the service provided. However, I accepted the refund simply to bring the matter to a close. The reality is that substantial retrabalho was still required after the crew left. Numerous items included in the Deep Cleaning Checklist were not completed as promised, significant additional cleaning had to be done afterward, and the complaint process itself created unnecessary stress and discomfort. For a service costing $585, I expected significantly better quality, better attention to detail, better communication, and a more professional approach to customer concerns.
