M13 soup
Betchaii C.

I've been to many Korean Bbq anywhere, I just visit Calgary and try this Korean BBQ , and for me this is not really good, how they made their kimchi and they only have 3 types of sides which is not typically korean for me,how they overcooked their beansprout and it doesn't taste good. how they make the soup too is not that good I order M13 and I haven't finished it.

Table top with sides
MJ L.

Dined twice for dinner and loved it both times!!! It is not cheap but the portions are huge, you get endless refills of the sides such as lettuce wraps, salad, bean sprouts, radishes, onions etc. You get 3 sauces to dip into which offers good variety. If it's your first time, there is a grill in the middle of the table. They bring all your meats and veg on a cart and you cook you own food on the grill. It's interactive and fun! You get to choose how "done" you want the meat to be and can wrap it in a lettuce leaf or have it on rice or straight n hot off the grill The only issue is that he tables aren't as large as they need to be for the amount of dishes you'll have so we stacked the empty raw meat plates and used dishes in the cart for them to take away throughout the meal. Also, parking is an issue but park a bit further and it's fine. Service is good as there is a button at the table to call for wait staff for drink or condiment refills or to add extra dishes. It does get loud and you'll smell like bbq when you leave, so be prepared for that.

Marinated galbi

Stopped by here on the way to the airport after a week in Banff. It was such a nice ending to our trip after suffering through the lack of Asian food in the National parks! Got the marinated galbi short ribs and it was very good. The portion size and quality of meat was pretty good also. We also got the bibim naengmyun and kimchi Soondubu, and both were good. The side dishes were mediocre and kimchi wasn't the best, but appreciated the unlimited lettuce for ssam. Service was also very good, really liked the call bell system, just like in Korea ...very prompt response and friendly serving staff. Inside was spacious and clean and nice ambiance. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing quality. We ordered the meal for 4 people and it's literally for 6 people. So much food we couldn't even finish!

This review is for March 2025…read more We flew in late on Thursday, so we were looking for a bite to eat. Quite a few places online stated that they were open late, but we were turned away by a number of places as they ended up closing earlier. Thankfully, one of them pointed us to Comery, one of the fews spots open past midnight. For a late night bite, it hit the spot! Meats are half off after 10pm.The three of us got: - $9 mango wheat - $9 cherry sour - $9.5 1/2 lb brisket (discounted at this time): tender and bombbb. There's an array of housemade BBQ sauces at every table. my fave is the spicy one - $18 wings dry rub: not very memorable but still good - $7 coleslaw: refreshing - $7 spicy fries: not bad Service was a little slow at this time. Took awhile for someone to notice we were waiting. It's dimly lit but the way the tables are set up allows for easy socializing. I would come back!

Holy cow we were impressed with the 250 selection of whiskys!! Richard, the manager was unaware of us arriving (my fault) but quickly arranged a private room for 25 people. Our servers, Maddie and Charmaine worked the room with perfection. Bringing great food like Brisket and smoked pork belly. Everybody enjoyed their time together. As we closed down the our event, Maddie told us about the Prickett Richard Speakeasy under ground. She took us downstairs to the beautiful, dark cozy, discreet bar where you step back to the 1940s. I was waiting for Al Capone to walk through the door. What a place, check it out when you can!!

The Banchan/side dishes were enjoyable. Marinated soft boiled egg, cabbage salad, pickled cucumbers, tofu (delicious), kimchi, and pickled radish. Had 8 different cuts of meat and found the galbi, bulgogi and skirt steak to be tasty. Didn't enjoy the pork belly, but I rarely do, and found the spicy pork to be bland. Beef soup was delicious as was the egg casserole. Cheesy corn tasted a lot like canned corn. Wings were cooked perfectly and wished they had more of a kick. They were supposed to be sweet and spicy but I found them too sweet. Complimentary Mango crushed ice was inventively playful and a joy to eat. All of us tried it and thought it was light and not too sweet. Refreshing.

After browsing on my own, I found my dad but my mom was no-where to be seen. Shortly after, we discovered that she walked down the street to BBQ Express - I didn't even know this place existed and apparently my mom, who hardly ever comes to Calgary knew it existed - she must have had those BBQ duck senses.. Anyways, they are right next to a Vietnamese place and there's a parking lot available. It is exactly what their name is "Bbq express" - they offer BBQ Pork, BBQ Duck, Soya Chicken, Sausage, BBQ ribs, and even Roasted pig's head if you order in advance. When you enter, it smells amazing - delicious Chinese BBQ aroma. You can see all the meats through a glass shield where they are hanging. They only do takeout and only take cash. My mom had ordered half BBQ duck and a pound and a half of BBQ pork. You can select which hanging meat you want to be cut from. The duck is chopped into small pieces and I'm not sure if they cut the BBQ pork but we did ask for it to be cut as well, they also pour some sauce on the BBQ pork. Both orders filled a decent size styrofoam container and you are given a bag of soya sauce, duck sauce and some packets of plum sauce. When we got home, we put on a pot of rice and cooked up some vegetables to go with our protein. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM fresh rice with BBQ duck and pork is one of my favorite combos!! I especially love duck with plum sauce, DROOOLLLLL. The BBQ duck was really good...tender and fatty with a slight crisp on the skin, the BBQ pork was good too, a little tougher but still really tasty, the fatty parts are the best. BBQ Express is a really great place - if you want some reasonably priced delicious Chinese BBQ meats, this is the place to hit up! What a gem of a place if you need to pick up something to bring to a pot luck or if you want to pick up something for lunch/dinner that is quick and tasty. They offer a lunch box special until 3pm(?) which is any two meats with rice, duck is an additional cost because it's so darn good. They are open every day from 10am - 7PM except they are closed on Tuesdays. I can't stop thinking about the BBQ meats here, must go ASAP!!!!

**Fantastic food, vibrant atmosphere, and very family-friendly!**…read more Stopped by here with my daughter after a full-day dance class because we needed a BBQ spot near T&T Supermarket. We've never been to a Chinese skewer place like this (even in California!), but we absolutely loved it. **What we ordered:** Kalbi, beef skewers, bacon and mushroom skewers, whole grilled squid, and Korean-style jajangmyeon. The portions were great--we had plenty of leftovers. The skewers are heavily seasoned with authentic Chinese spices (like ziran/cumin) and are inherently spicy. I had no problem handling the heat and thought they were incredible. My daughter couldn't handle the spice level, so we ordered a second round of non-spicy skewers. She completely polished them off, which was incredibly satisfying to see! Great service, lively vibe, and excellent food. I would definitely return--next time just my wife and me, so we can go all-in on the spicy menu!

We ordered Lamb, Beef tendon, Pork Belly, Chicken Leg, Chicken Gizzard, Chicken Hearts, Whole Squid, Oysters, and Eel. Everything was really good. Chicken Leg was moist. Everyone enjoyed the Gizzard and Oyster that we placed another order. The squid was not dry at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Staff were friendly although we did have to flag them down to place another order of some things or get more water. Will definitely come back and try other things on the menu.
