It's an organization that's taking stories from all different Americans for storage at the Library of Congress. An audible history bank of sorts. All sorts of stories told. They have an app and you can do it yourself on the app. Recently the touring Storycorps airstream came to Buffalo for a month or so. I immediately secured one of the interview spots for two family members. Neither born American, one has lived here for over 50 years - having done graduate studies here. The other visiting from South America. They went through the process and it was great. Well organized and very comfortable. This is a terrific project.

Such a great radio program with both dry, witty humor and occasional serious talk about politics.They sometimes welcome guests into the studio to talk about movies,music and current events. The show is so good sometimes, that the guys will go commercial free for 2 hours and 45 minutes. They even allow fans to come into the studio and watch the show live. You need to email them though before you decide to show up. Main cast of characters include Ron Bennington, Fez "Marie" Whatley, East Side Dave and Black Earl. Give them a shot...you will be hooked! Even though we were one of the first to get in line that morning, they put my friend (White) and I (Asian) in the farrrrthest back corner, and we noticed that whenever the camera was on our group, they would cut off at our waists. Hahaha. It took sooooo long and not "live" like we thought it would be. I guess it was interesting if you want to see what its like behind the scenes, but it was kind of just disappointing to us. Weird that the audience isn't really naturally excited, and that there's an intimidating hype man that yells at you if you're not screaming your head off when they're filming. However if you LOVEEEE Bow Wow, he seemed really friendly and would take pictures with audience members after the show. tldr; there was probably a better way to spend our limited time in NY!
