Love the atmosphere, the service, and the coffee. This is a 2-3 times/week stop for me. If you're in winnebago it's a must try!

The Hotel is really cool, historic and lots of character. They do have a decent happy hour. Our…read morecompany trip stayed there 4 days so we ate here everyday for convenience. 1) ribeye steak, not good at all, zero seasoning or flavor. 2) burger, about the worst I've ever had, tasted terrible. 3) wings : ordered dry and had sauces separate, these were "ok" (sometimes tasted kinda 'fresh') but the sauces were good. 4) chicken fettuccini alfredo was actually decent, order that 5) a coworker ordered a pizza and said frozen pizzas were better. Had breakfast every morning, complimentary so I should judge too harshly, but not really that good. Very subpar products being bought. For such a nice hotel the food is severely lacking. Management should revisit this.

We had 1 PM reservations for brunch on Sunday. We wanted to eat prior to the Gutfeld show at BMO…read more Arrived at the hostess stand and looked around. There were several tables with no water or anything. We were seated after a few minutes. We waited for 15 minutes no water, no waitstaff. Several tables around us were the same. Didn't really seem like we were going to be able to make the 3PM show at this rate. Finally left after 20 minutes. To be fair the hostess did say the kitchen was backed up. All and all it appeared they were understaffed for the patrons they had. We met some people at the elevator that had been outside dining and they said the food was good, however it was slow to come out for them also. I guess they have a rooftop deck for dining outside. The place is really kind of neat and I would have liked to eaten there. It seems like it may have been an old factory or something converted to hotel and dining. I was intrigued by the short rib eggs Benedict. May stop by again when we're in the area, hope things improve. Seems like it could use some better management. We did speak to the staff at the front desk in the main lobby on the way out and they were totally indifferent, no sorry about your bad experience, more of an oh well attitude.

Checked out this brewery in Freeport after coming across other places that had their beers…read more Generations is one of the main reasons to come here. It certainly has quite a few things on tap. A lot more in cans. They also have a few snacks. By the looks of the outside it wasn't anything special, just like a warehouse or something common. It's a lot more interesting inside. The taproom has enough room for the bar, and quite a few tables. Got a view into the back to see where the beers are made. There's a balcony where bands can play live music too. Beers are why people come of course. It's about $7 a pint. Best one we had of these was the Tawny Ale. This is an Irish Red of medium strength. It's about $12 for a soft pretzel. These are massive so they're great for sharing. One of the dips looked like peanut butter. This was actually fudge if you can believe it, and you can get cheese as well as mustard. For sure it's one of this city's main attractions. It's got lots of beers, and because it's in the Pretzel City, get one of those to munch on. They're closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

They have a variety of beers and one named after Freeport the Pretzel City! They have lagers, pilsners and ales. The environment is relaxing and the building stands out ! Since the main road is under construction , GPS did not help, but after we realized it kept rerouting us to the closed road. If in the area, stop in. Also their beer can be found in many locations in the Rockford area and some Binnys.

Such an amazing experience…read more Starting off with the restaurant itself, such a beautifully curated spot that is unlike anything rockford has to offer. Every detail a work of art. We really enjoy the bar area and its ambiance but hope to also experience the dining room as well. We started off with the Dip of the day which was a Miso Ranch dip served with fresh made tortilla chips. This was phenomenal and my only complaint is there wasn't more! We also both ordered a drink off of their happy hour menu. I ordered the old Fashioned and my wife ordered their margarita. Both were excellent. I also ordered the VIEUX CARRÉ based on our Server's recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed that. Such knowledgeable staff makes a big difference. For our main course, I got their Mushroom Pot Pie and my wife ordered the Ora King Salmon. Both dishes blew us away. Neither of us expected to be so full after our meals, their serving sizes were very generous! I wanted to highlight the mushroom pot pie, as a vegetarian, Fine dining usually does not cater to vegetarians. So having options at a place this nice was such a welcomed surprise. The greens included with the Pot Pie really stole the show, The most perfectly cooked and seasoned greens I have ever had. Chef Nick Risseeuw came over and checked on how we were doing and after hearing me rave about his pot pie offered two of his desserts on the house. We got a pistachio orange dessert and a Malt ball ice cream that was his interpretation of whopper candy as an ice cream. Both were DIVINE! Thank you again Nick for your generosity, it was a perfect way to end a perfect meal. I also wanted to highlight the staff as they played an essential role in our unbelievable experience. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and prompt. We will definitely return soon and cannot wait to see what is in store for their upcoming menu
