The classes range in size in any given week - but generally there's plenty of space for everyone. I've seen people bring their friends, partners, coworkers, etc to class - it's a fun time for all! Margela and Mappy are great at making people feel comfortable, as are the other instructors, and there's a variety of routines and styles. If you've always wanted to try dancing but having doubts, look no further. The studio shares space with other classes, including step and martial arts, so it's generally very lively in the evenings. You can choose to drop in or sign up for a regular weekly class (or two) - there's a slight discount if you do more than one class a week. Generally all adult classes are in the weekday evenings, which makes them convenient to come to after work. I highly recommend this studio - come check it out!

The Adult Beginner's Hip Hop classes are taught by amazing instructors like Mappy and Margela (the owners!), whose passion for teaching and dance truly shines. They're incredibly encouraging and make it clear there's no pressure to get everything perfect right away. It's all about learning and having fun. Most other place have a makeup policy specially for toddlers. This place offers none unless they need to reschedule. We signed up for recital shows and it's just money drain with you paying for poorly fitting costumes to buying tickets even for performances. In a 45 min class they spend 5 mins over recital performance with no repeat in the same session so kids can pick up the steps.

I started by participating in their Spring Showcase and it was SO worth it! I love how you have 2 months of rehearsal with the same group before performing on a stage for all your family and friends! The support from teachers and fellow students was overwhelmingly positive. I will definitely be performing in future showcases. I haven't taken many drop-in classes but the ones that I have are always thorough and a great workout. The prices are a little higher compared to other studios but I rationalize it with the experience that these teachers bring. Also love the class bundle options that let you really work on a piece for a few weeks before professional(!!) filming. My showcase rehearsals ran from 8-10 PM and I never felt unsafe walking back to my car. Plenty of street parking along the roads and someone from class was always willing to walk with me. The building can be a bit confusing the first time since the studios are not connected by a hallway but just ask around and you will find your way.

Amazing humble talent and everyone is a hype squad for each other. $20-$25 for TWO hours! The studio has a cool backdrop wall + lighting + videographer (who may or may not take forever to edit and post the videos)! It can be pretty packed so no going full out until you split into groups. I wish the location wasn't so sketchy. It's just a brick building in a semi industrial area. Street parking with some seemingly worn abandoned cars. Easy to miss the studio if you're not intentionally looking for it. Because they rent the space per dance slot, there is no lobby or main entrance. You can wait in your car or right outside the classroom. I was early and felt a little iffy even in broad daylight. I only knew this cos a friend told me in advance - you have to show your confirmation email or text to enter. They should write that somewhere in the confirmation. I like that the teachers will post what songs they're doing in advance, prior to sign-ups, and will likely come back upon occasion.

Then came covid in 2020 and I stopped dancing entirely up until 2024 where I had to start over again and luckily I found Hermosura Dance Productions (HDP). I've been taking bachata classes at HDP for about 6-7 months now and I must say that Helen is a fantastic teacher! She focuses on building a strong foundation to make you a better dancer which other schools just don't teach which I wish I had engrained in me when I first started dancing. On top of the fundamentals, Helen teaches nice patterns that allow you to dance with people of different levels (as a leader, this has been great!). She also provides constructive feedback during class to help you improve your dancing as well as understand how it is danced (e.g. in bachata you are pushing the floor with your feet). I highly recommend going to HDP for classes or tailored lessons, depending on your needs. Helen teaches many styles of dance from salsa on 1 (and on 2), cumbia, bachata, and rueda. Even if you've never danced before, you will be welcomed to class as if you were a regular so don't be afraid to sign up for your first class!
