My mom has been a regular client for years, and convinced me to join BMF! I've been going to Bar Method for a little over a year, wanting to try something new to add to my fitness journey. I started with weekly Bar Flow Express with Ainsley, loving the sequences and flows between barre and yoga! I looked out for class packs and sales, they often release deals throughout the year. Eventually, I tried out regular Bar Method, Bar Strength, and Restore classes adding more variety to my repertoire! Towards the beginning of 2026, I decided to commit to unlimited, seeing how much I fell in love with barre. BMF is a beautiful studio with a wonderful, supportive community. Every instructor is committed to providing an amazing workout, are incredibly motivating, and will occasionally help fix your form to make the most of your workout. I love how intentional the classes are, incorporating stretching periods for your body. I also enjoy how challenging each movement becomes, to the point where you can push towards experiencing the shakes! I love coming out feeling more aligned and stronger after each class.

My last review was in 2017... And I'm still here! The Bar Method Fremont has been with me through ups and downs. Love this community!

BMF has been a non-negotiable in my schedule! Even after 7 years with BMF, there are days when I still feel the workouts were challenging. The workouts keep me mindful of my posture, my body mechanics, and emphasizes the importance of stretching and doing strength training. A big thank you to the instructors who make BMF an amazing community!

I've been taking barre classes here at the Bar Method Fremont since September 2024! Almost 2 years & 100+ classes later, I can definitely say I'm a fan! I love the schedule that BMF has (for the early birds 6am, midday break workout or the late evening 6:45pm sessions). There's a wide variety of classes available: traditional barre, strength, cardio, yoga flow, and restore. They also have weekend morning classes too! The instructors here are all so friendly and welcoming - regardless if it's your first class or 100th, they take the time to walk through to correct form and improve postures. I also love the fun different activities that they have throughout the year, from summer challenges to group competitions - all a friendly and creative way to boost the spirit in the studio. The owner Abbey is really nice and keeps the studio up to date through newsletters and IG posts. The studio itself is clean and tidy, with overall a welcoming environment to get a great workout in. Bonus: BMF is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking spots!

I am at over 200 classes and I have never felt or looked better. I feel so strong and lean and have definitely seen positive changes in both my physical body and mind. I come every day, sometimes multiple times a day as it has become my happy place. I have the unlimited membership which is definitely worth it. The community is really wonderful from the front desk staff to the instructors to the fellow barre babes (and boys lol.) There's even a book club along with other fun popups and events at the studio. They always have lots of fun merch including socks, stickers and other apparel and it feels like Christmas morning when the new drops arrive! Can I give 6 stars? :)

Love The Bar Method!! Before I started my workout journey, I did not know anything about barre. My friend told me to sign up with her as they were offering a new client special for $78 of unlimited classes for 2025. I was very interested in the classes because they offered 6am classes which was very convenient for my schedule. I started taking classes with Cassie! And she was very easy to follow. She provided corrections when needed and was very soft spoken which made it more welcoming to come back and work out every day. Barre is a low-impact workout which combines a bit of ballet, yoga, Pilates, and strength training. At the bar method they offer different style of classes that is good for a total body transformation. I like that they modify workouts for you if needed and it's perfect for working out if you are pregnant. Another instructor that I've taken that I've really enjoyed was Monette! I would take her classes in between my patients, usually around 9am, 10am, or 12pm. I love when she switches up the work out and when she uses sliders. She really gets us going using our 6-pack abs. She keeps the class fun and vibrant! Honestly, I feel like they really try and get to know you here and it's a great community of people working out. Barre is really a workout like no other, really transformative, without really breaking too much of a sweat.

The best community and instructors! This workout truly has transformed my physical shape, strength, and confidence. The community here motivates you to reach your health goals and to keep getting stronger. The instructors make sure you are doing the workouts properly to get the full benefit of the exercise without chance of injuring yourself. I love implementing barre into my running routine to focus on different muscles.

The space they have created is so welcoming for beginners, and they foster an environment where anyone--no matter where they are in their fitness journey--can get the workout they are looking for. The instructors are attentive to everyone in class and are incredibly supportive. I would also like to show my appreciation for three instructors whose classes I generally take on a weekly basis. Claudia is one of my all-time favorite fitness instructors that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I have taken her Pilates reformer class, hybrid mat class, and TRX class. I consider her coaching the primary reason I was able to break through the fitness plateau I was experiencing before coming to the studio. She is extremely knowledgeable about the workouts and can create modifications on the spot to fit you and your fitness goals. I go Tina's Barre class, and what I appreciate about it is the structure, as well as how unique each session is. Her instruction style is very supportive, and she is beyond cognizant of everyone in the room. In every class, she checks in on each client to make sure they have good form. I never thought I would enjoy taking Barre, but I now consider myself a true Barre enthusiast. Audrey is another amazing instructor. I generally take her reformer class and Exo Chair class. Audrey's classes are so welcoming and engaging. Her workouts are challenging, but due to how she engages the class, time seems to fly by because we are all just having fun. As I stated at the beginning of this review, I have never advocated this much for a fitness studio, and I will continue to be a client for the foreseeable future and then some. Thank you, Jen, and the rest of the IMX Studio team!

I am 100% committed to not letting it take over my life and through my research found that yoga & pilates would be a good fit. I originally called a well known pilates studio in fremont but was completely put off by their marketing strategies...daily phone calls, texts & emails (sometimes 5+ a day!). Through a friend I was told about IMX. When I called I was greeted by Jenn the owner and I instantly felt like I had found a "home"! She answered my millions of questions, educated me on all things pilates & put a smile on my face....all without ANY high pressured sales tactics! I have now been going for about a month now and I could not be happier! Every instructor has taken me under their wing to helped guide & support me in my new journey. They have never made me feel intimidated, or silly cause I did not know what I was doing (even when I literally almost fell off the reformer :) The other people in the classes have been quite helpful and encouraging too.....what a great new community I am part of! If you are thinking of trying IMX Pilates you definitely will not be dissappointed!!! The best decision I have made on my health journey by far. Kudos to Jenn & her incredible team....THANK YOU so very much :)

That said, I have been delighted to find such a welcoming place full of capable, friendly, and patient instructors who are willing to help me learn and improve my form. The Pleasanton studio is clean and well organized and it is easy to schedule or change classes through their app. But really, the people who teach the classes, and those who attend them, make a difference with their positivity and encouragement. When I first walked into the center, it didn't feel especially welcoming, just pretty standard. It was around 9am and a bit noisy, almost like a street market. I noticed a pile of dirty towels sitting out. The women's locker room was okay, nothing dirty, but it felt a little dated and could use a refresh. A lot of the ladies were chatting, and it reminded me of a middle school locker room. The MixxedFit class itself, though, was amazing. The energy in the room was great and everyone seemed genuinely excited to be there. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. I'll definitely come back for another MixxedFit class with Javier.

With the number of people who use this facility every day, this is a serious health and safety concern, especially during the summer. In addition to the lack of air conditioning, the water fountains are frequently out of service, the bathrooms are unsanitary, and the overall cleanliness of the facility has noticeably declined. It feels like this location is simply a cash cow for Bay Club's corporate office. They continue to raise membership prices every year while neglecting maintenance, cleanliness, and customer service. This location sees far more traffic than many of their other clubs, yet it receives far less attention. If you're considering joining as a new member, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Until Bay Club invests in properly maintaining this facility and providing the level of service members are paying for, it's simply not worth the cost. Many of the members at this location are from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and it's deeply frustrating to see this club receive far less attention than locations like Pleasanton or Walnut Creek. Intentional as it seems the disparity in maintenance and investment is hard to ignore, and members at this location deserve the same safe, clean, and well-maintained facility as every other Bay Club member. I will also be contacting the Alameda County Department of Environmental Health to report these ongoing health and sanitation concerns.

My workout session was literally 2 doors down from here and I was barely able to wobble over on my jello-like legs after the workout. They have different approaches, one incorporates more myofascial-type work while the other really focuses on the stretch but both understand what my body needs and consistently provide a high quality session. Unfortunately, as they've become increasingly booked, I've had to schedule with other flexologists, and that's exposed what I think is the biggest opportunity for improvement here: consistency across the team. I completely understand that every flexologist will have their own personality and style, and I actually appreciate that diversity. What shouldn't vary so dramatically is the quality of the stretch or the ability to adapt to a client's needs and history. With some flexologists, I've experienced too much conversation at the expense of the actual work. With others, pressure can go from appropriately firm to unnecessarily aggressive without enough adjustment based on the area being worked. I've also had sessions where it doesn't feel like my existing progress, preferences, or goals are really being carried forward. That's particularly frustrating because these things are documented in our profiles. I don't expect every flexologist to stretch exactly the same way, but I do think every flexologist available for me to book should be able to review my profile and deliver a session within a reasonably consistent standard. At roughly $650 a month in credits, this becomes more than a minor inconvenience. If one of my preferred flexologists calls out or they're both booked, which is increasingly common, I either have very limited options or risk using an expensive credit on a session that doesn't provide comparable value. I still think this is a good location with some very talented people, which is why I'm leaving constructive feedback rather than simply walking away. But the experience shouldn't depend so heavily on getting one of two specific flexologists. I'd love to see management focus on stronger consistency across the entire team, better continuity between sessions, attention to client profiles, and the ability to adjust technique and firmness to the individual. If that improves, I'd have no hesitation returning this review to the rating I originally gave.
